Susi, IMO, when you help a single Mom you have extra blessings heading your way!

Susi I always thought that Hannaford's was a NE based supermarket. I did hear they are expanding into NYC so who knows. That's always been my market of choice. You can't beat their meats and produce. Not to mention their staff are all top notch. I was able to find all on my list with the exception of the lite Alfredo sauce and I the hunts fire roasted tomatoes. They've been out of stock for quite awhile. Almost as bad as the Clorox Wipes LOL. Glad you enjoyed your VM and that you keep up with your favorites via FB.
June YEAH to 'seeing around the block' Hope you don't get a lot of emails asking the same question. That's very annoying I'm sure.
Shopping really tires me out. Going to do a little more computer stuff and then sit and relax. Will CBL

June - I'm kind of boycotting watching football. The business of it is bad enough. Now that politics are thrown in, I'm turned off for now. I like your thinking for the cutoff time. Thanks Bee. She has a special needs son who has aged out of the system and a teen age daughter. Her landlord is my friend Cheryl's mother. Since I can't say anything nice, I will just leave that there. Ann - There are several in VA where I lived for a few years. My niece has one in Kingston, NY. It appears there are several there in the Hudson Valley.

Ann, our Trader Joe's has fire roasted tomatoes but it is hard to find plain ones. Add a can of mild chilis to your regular tomatoes. We ended up with soul food for lunch. I had one piece of fried chicken and yams plus a small piece of cornbread. Gumbo was not available today but will be tomorrow so I got Bob meatloaf with mashed potatoes, yams and greens. We both thought the greens were too sweet. I told him to use pepper sauce but he declined. The new restaurant was busy. June, students need to figure out your office hours.

Audrey, tomorrow on free Friday, I want mustard or turnip greens and cornbread. Will pick some up from a local deli after I have the test done. I love pepper sauce with my greens.

Thanks Audrey. Most of the swelling is gone but the finger still itches some but it's getting better. Some of Scooter's allergies are in her eyes. She has been pawing them so hard and it hurts her then she whines. The same thing with her paws. That is so nice of you to write those letters.
June Good luck with your PET scan tomorrow and I'm glad Liz came to go with you.Thanks.The hand is slowly getting back to normal.
Cathy Keeping on trucking sounds like a good goal too although you meant tracking.I'm glad your son and family are good even though they had some damage. The PT yesterday was for trying to get my legs realigned. I am off by about 1/4" in the right leg and she said I was already out of alignment.I asked if I needed to go to a car dealership to get realigned and she laughed.I am about capped out with what the insurance will pay for the year so I'm set up for 2 appointments next week but don't know if I will get any past that since Medicare counts the assessments as visits.
MJ Continued prayers for Father Ted.Enjoy that good weather.I hope there can be a smooth transition between phases.
Ann I am so envious of your morning temps but by January you will probably be wanting my temps.Scooter does have allergies. The vet said we could go with Zyrtec but since she had that ear surgery she didn't need to be scratching that because that's how those blood clots form so she has more Apoquel.Dang that stuff has really gone up in price.

Hi all, What a crazy work week it is. Everybody knowing I won't be there next week has really ramped up needs this week, add to that church work and home chores. Just got finished eating homemade nachos. I measured out everything and had a nice sized helping. Done for today. An apple if needed later. Susi, nice of you to share the work with the neighbor and help her out with the trimming. Trimming ours are on a long list of to do's LOL Bee are yall getting a lot of rain from this system passing thru? We are getting massive amts of rain. Sure wish I could send some to Cali. Ann, so happy you are sleeping well would you believe it will be down in the 40s here next week at night? Audrey, the class sounds fun! I bet Bee would like to go,too The fried chicken sounds good but I don't like sweet greens either. Becky, I sure hope your stings are better today and those pesky creatures are gone. Cathy, the 40 mins in already sounds great! I know you are glad to be moving again. MJ, its just so sad because you know this lifestyle that Russ lives does not bring him happiness yet he can't seem to stop. June, Just as I am is a good one too. We had How Great Thou Art played at my grandmothers and sometimes it makes me tear up when I hear it.

LaDonna, we got not one drop of rain from Sally. Now we have something else in the gulf that we may get some rain from --- and maybe not. LOL
Love Just As I Am.
Many years ago a lady wrote a book. In it she told about being in Church and they were playing that song. She knew she needed to go to the altar, but she didn't want Jesus to know how bad she had been. Said she was hanging onto the pew in front of her like crazy. She later went.

Thanks for the tip on the tomatoes, Audrey. I shall try that. I found some HOT rotel tomatoes at our local Walmart. I love them, but they are way too spicy for Carl. I now just add them to my veggie soup to perk it up!
Susi, I wonder if they are owned by the same people? Very interesting. In any case, sorry there are none around you. We have a Market Basket which is a HUGE and much newer market with several shops in their lot. However, I am not fond of their produce. I got stuck far too many times with it. It looks so good but the taste just isn't there.
Wow, LaDonna....40's is cold you guys. Feel free to send it our way LOL.
In walking today, we could see the funky grey tint to the sky and the sun looked strange. Not red as they were saying...just not quite right. Prayers continue to those in CA
Becky I play better in the cold weather. But I hear you...not really fond when it goes below 0 and then we get the wind chill factor added in for 'happy measure' Praying that the Apoquel fixes Scooter up. I hear you on the rising prices.
Bee I absolutely LOVE corn bread. Haven't had it in awhile as I have no control over it!
Carl is out now walking with miss LuLa. I have a sore toe and I think it's because I wore the wrong tennis shoes out the other day. I have 2 pair that look very similar. Oh well.....live and learn. I have now cleaned them up to either donate or just toss. Time will tell.

Bee Praying PET scan goes well tomorrow.
MJ I know it's sad to see how Russ used to be and what he seems to have become now.
Susi Scooter is a real PITA on the way to the vet when we take her which is odd because she loves to ride in the car and loves the attention she gets from the techs. On the way home she is calm.It was funny when Kenneth opened the back door she acted like she didn't want to get out.I don't know if she didn't realize we were home or what. That pill has had a very calming effect on her.She hasn't whined since we have been home but also isn't eating her food.Human scraps of course but not her food.I know that will change. It's good you and your neighbor can help each other out like that.
Howdy June.Yes those stings are painful but it is improving.I too love Just As I Am. My mom used to watch the Billy Graham Crusades and we both loved at the end of the crusades.Glad you got a short walk in. Yes the girl has been around the block a time or two indeed.
Ann Glad you could find most of what you shopped for.Hannaford's is to y'all what HEB is to Texas and it's more Central to South Texas and they have some stores in Mexico. They are a top notch grocery retailer in the state and very giving to their employees(they call them partners) and to others. When there is any kind of disaster in TX be it a hurricane or fires they will load up 18 wheelers of food and drink and head to wherever they are needed.I think everyone must be out of the Hunts fire roasted tomatoes. I haven't seen them in HEB or Walmart.
Susi I agree with you on at least the NFL football. I may watch a Texas college team now and then but I don't even watch the Dallas Cowboys anymore.
Audrey Your soul food sounds good.I'm not a fan of gumbo though. Can you still only do takeout or outside dining in CA? Our governor raised indoor occupancy for restaurants and gyms from 50% to 75% starting next Monday. The nice part is he is allowing nursing home visits as long as there are no active cases in the homes and as long as the positivity rate in the area isn't over a certain percentage.Since bars are still a hotspot he didn't open them and I know the state has already been sued over that.If the food sales from a bar is 51% of their revenue they can open outdoors I think but they don't even want to have to include food on their menus. Oh well they can just stay closed then.
