Random morning thought: I am revisiting puberty with the constant mask wearing. I thought my days of skin eruptions were well behind me. 😝

Chele, thanks for the start. Cute avatar! Sounds like you have the dreaded maskne. My skin is extra sensitive and prone to breakouts, but I haven't had to wear a mask for long enough for that to happen so far. It would be hard to have to wear them all day long as many people are having to for their jobs. There is a little more sun today, but I hear some thunder rumbling in the distance. Not too much going on here today. Hope everyone has a good day.

Cheke, I wash masks by hand in mild soap ...let them soak a bit, then rinse well. Could be the stuff you wash clothes with is ok except your facial skin dislikes it. maybe too tight in one area? Just a thought.
cleaning lady is here, blessing! My 74 year old body does not want heAvier housework this week,I decided the nights I cannot sleep until 2:30 or later are because I keep moving to get comfortable...arthritis. Last night was one of those ...too much on my feet and bending over.
got out of her way (we stay other side of house) by going to independent bookstore to exchange books read for credit for future. They finally started that again. The person was really late for work And I did not realize someone had left a big box of books before me. So even though I went to TJs , I waited a long time inside the store...thankfully with nobody anywhere near me. Hand sanitizer at the door when you arrive, masks required. TJs is putting out the fall and pumpkin stuff. I got cider donuts! Nobody else ever has them here. One of those New England things we miss. This was a low Number of shoppers time.
Dropped stuff at Goodwill...they shove a rolling box. to you to put stuff in and stay back.
back home and doing my newspaper Covid archive museum project.

Happy Anniversary, Karen and Dale. Enjoy your pizza. I am glad DB and fam are safe. Sorry about tne property damage, though.
Kathy, if I had to wear them all day long I would be in trouble. I have oily skin in the T zone. We have been getting down into the high 40s at night and high 70s during the day. Still no rain.
Liz, it was so good to hear from you again. I hope you get an answer for Zoe soon. Not knowing will gnaw at you. Poor Gary! I hope his tooth doesn’t hurt. I didn’t realize it took so long to get dentures. Glad to near you are getting your neck and knee looked at.
Linda, enjoy that blueberry ricotta cake. Iggy and I did when I made it awhile ago. Glad you solved Micki’s sugar rise.
Becky, how is the hand today? Bet you didn’t know you were wasp bait. What’s the news on Scooter?
Denise, still working overtime? I am enjoying our cooler weather.
Iggy’s visit with the NP went well. His would is healing nicely. He sees the electro cardiologist in 3 months. I saw my PCP today. Everything good except eye. Opthamologist #2 tomorrow. I went Krogering as I hadn’t been to the store since September 1. I had a lot of groceries to put away. There were TP, tissues and paper towels but still no disinfectant wipes. I got some Black Beauty grapes that are really good. Grilled cheese and sliced tomatoes for dinner.

Thanks for the start, Chele. You are reliving a part of puberty I think we would all like to forget. What's the story behind the alpaca in the fez? Did you see the expert eye doc in KY today? Linda, I took the quiz and didn't do so well--3/8. A friend of mine took it and got 7/8. She works FT directly with college students, so she is probably a better detector of BS than I am. I know you enjoy having a clean house that you didn't have to clean. I got an email from TJ's about their pumpkin stuff. I have to go in the next couple of weeks to get some things I can only get there, so I'll see then if something intices me to take it home. How many volumes is the covid project for the museum now? Oh, NOOO on the wasp, Becky! Is it still swollen? Are you icing it? I can imagine how it might be difficult to function with a mouse. You might just have to become a lefty like me. What's the word on Scooter? It looks like you might be dealing with tropical rains soon. One of the models looks like it could land between Corpus and Houston. Hope you'll get a little rain. Kathy, I also have sensitve skin and have had a few problems with masks. I am really careful about what I use to make my masks and that seems to help. I also have ordered something called a 3-D Mask Frame that I hope will help. I'll let you know. Hard to believe but the weather guesser got it wrong again 🤦♀️. We went from "just a stray shower" from Sally to what we actually got, which was a little less than an inch. So I had a wet drive to KVL this morning. Not complaining because I didn't have to water. Heard from DSIL and they are saying they might not have power for 2 weeks. TG for the generator. Their cell and internet service is spotty so they may be incommunicado for a while but everyone is fine. They do have some work to do. The rain just slowed traffic a bit this morning but no problems. Getting ready to put the pizzas in the oven. Waving to Liz and Denise.

Hey, Chele. I think we cross posted. I forgot you also had your PCP this week. Congrats on no surprises there. Good luck with the eye tomorrow. WOW! on over 2 weeks since you went grocery shopping. Your cupboards must have been bare. I wish we could get to that point. Maybe we can when we are growing our own letttuce. Are Black Beauty grapes seedless? I don't think I've seen them. Are your sliced tomatoes from your garden? I think most of my summer plants will be biting the dust this weekend. I saw the motherlode of disinfectant wipes at Walgreens today. I didn't need any so I figured others needed them more than I did. We haven't been having problems finding TP or tissues lately and tend to replace a pack of either when we finish one off. I was really going through them when I had that allergy-type situation earlier in the summer. Ragweed doesn't seem to be bothering me this year, which is the first time in my life that has happened. Pizza was good. First time I've had Papa Murphy's gluten-free crust and I think they must use Udi's. I got really spoiled with the homemade chickpea crust at the wood-fired brick oven place close to AVL. The owners' daughter is gluten intolerant, so they learned to make it from scratch and it's amazing. They also use better ingredients for toppings. And the prices aren't much different. Osteo went pretty well today. Leg Press is still giving me fits but I'm just about back to where I was before the covid hiatus on the other 3 machines. I think the gym is helping.

Thanks for the start Chele. Cute picture. Oh no on the skin eruptions. I heard some people are getting rashes from them.
Kathy I hadn't heard about the dreaded maskne. LOL.I can't imagine having to wear one for 8 hours or longer. One hour at PT is long enough for me then we normally buy groceries after that so have to wear it in the store too.We have had thunder also but just a sprinkle.
Linda I'm glad you can use the cleaning lady again. Maybe don't spend so much time on your feet if you can help it for your arthritis.
Chele No I didn't know I was wasp bait. The swelling is finally out of the hand but my finger still itches but I can live with that.We took Scooter to the vet and just as I thought it was allergies. The vet said we could use Zyrtec on her but with her having the ear surgery she doesn't need to be scratching that since that is part of what caused the blood clots so he prescribed her Apoquel which has really gone up in price since the last time we had to get it for her. That dog is getting expensive.I'm glad Iggy's appointment went well and his wound is healing nicely.LOL on going Krogering.Good luck with #2 tomorrow.I'm not a fan of black grapes for some reason but I have been buying green grapes and freezing them.So good that way.Your dinner sounds good.
Karen Happy Anniversary to you and Dale.I wish we had a TJ's closer.Yesterday the PT suggested Benadryl and ice and it seems to have helped except for the itching on the finger that was stung but it's not too bad.Scooter is pretty much out of it after her first treatment of Apoquel for allergies. She gets another one tonight then 2 x day for first 7 days then 1 x day until all gone. Then back on Zyrtec. We are holding out hope the models are right on the rain anyway but not crazy about any storms.Today we had a 60% chance of rain and we got a sprinkle.I'm glad you and Dale enjoyed your pizza. We will probably eat out for our anniversary next Tuesday.
Governor Abbott increased occupancy in restaurants and gyms from 50% to 75% starting Monday. They will also start allowing nursing home visits as long as there are no active cases in the NH and the area isn't above 10% positive.Since bars are still a hot spot no opening on them unless food is 51% of their daily income. They are upset of course and don't think they should have to sell food just so they can sell liquor.Well if they aren't willing to do that I guess they can stay closed.
Liz I hope you are able to have a good weekend.
