Any plans this weekend? Just the usual talk to children and grandchildren
Has it begun to feel like fall where you are? It is a bit cooler but not cool and the garden is slowing down BUT not really autumn feeling yet.
Is there anything you especially like to do in the fall? (in normal times) Not that I can think of. Perhaps change the menu a bit as it gets cooler...but not much really changes here whether there is a pandemic or not.

I have no special plans for the weekend. Every day is pretty much the same.
It is beginning to look like fall. It has gotten cooler and some of the trees are starting to turn color.
Other than cleaning up the yard and garden there has not been anything special that I do. DH and I used to do weekend things, often camping in the early fall.

No plans for the weekend as usual, church tonight, picking up Chinese on the way home. It has got to be our new Saturday ritual,
We are feeling like fall this weekend! Cool & crisp air! It feels so good! I am trying to decide which plants I am going to bring in for the fall. Last year I was able to keep some cuttings from coleus & a few other things just in water sitting in the window. I think I will try that again this year. It is so messy to bring the plants into the house. Most of them lose most of their leaves over the winter, anyway.
Nothing special that I do, I will cut the extra stuff from my flower bed & make room for a few fall flowers.

I just looked at the 10 day weather forecast and the temps are supposed to be in the high 60s to low 70s. Quite a change from the 90s just a few weeks ago.
Saturday starts my work week, so my weekends aren't really on the weekend. We are having church inside on Sunday for the first time since March. Another Sunday School teacher and I are also trying to have a zoom Sunday School class. The church will use every other pew and 6 ft distancing in the same pew. Masks, etc. They don't know how many will come as we will still have it on zoom and youtube. About half of our congregation would be in the older age group so they may not feel they can come in person.
I made the lentil salad last night just like the recipe. Figured I should try the recipe before tweaking it. I thought it was a lot of dressing for the lentils. I liked the taste of it, however it seemed weird to just eat a pile of lentils. So with the leftovers, I am gong to add some chopped veggies. I think I have peppers, cauliflower and broccoli in the fridge that will give more body to it. I am planning on taking it for my dinner at work tonight.
Fall plans include cleaning out the garden beds. Will work on that this coming week.

Nothing in particular happening here. I went out to get groceries this morning, before the stores get busy.
Preped a few things for the week - hard boiled some eggs, washed some grapes, cut up cantaloupe (that's mainly for my husband...cantaloupe's not my favorite). I got a new (to me) variety of apple - RiverBelle. It's supposed to be close in taste to Honeycrisp, but matures earlier in the season.
Yes, starting to look and feel like fall here. Leaves are starting to change color and fall, lower humidity and temps, but we'll probably still get some warmer days again. Geese are migrating. I saw a pretty good size flock in the field at the end of our street this morning.

Dd and I ran a few errands this morning and dropped a few things off at momβs. Otherwise itβs a quiet day. KOKO will be key for me today. Have a great weekend everyone.

I liked the taste of it, however it seemed weird to just eat a pile of lentils. So with the leftovers, I am gong to add some chopped veggies. This was my thought too when I read the recipe. I would add some chopped veggies to it. I'm not doing much today, I'll watch Mass on line and I'm sure I'll find something to do. Yesterday I oven dried some tomatoes and made some freezer salsa. Today I'll package it up and get it in the freezer.
