Winter is coming, and Forks Over Knives has some great vegan soup recipes. You can add whatever meat you like.
I especially like the Harvest Vegetable Instant Pot Mediterranean Minestrone Soup --- even though I do not own an Instant Pot.
I also like the Mediterranean Lentil and Spinach

Ann Cute description! I like the sound of that! I have to remember that I have a small check to cash or deposit. We also have such a picture perfect day today. Has been glorious walking weather.
Audrey Thanks! Too bad you cannot offer samples.

Bee We love soup. So I definitely will look up those recipes.
I thought of you yesterday and your inspirational FB post about little miracles. Yesterday I witnesses a small wonder. In all my years living, I have never seen a flying grasshopper suspended in the air vertically. It was hovering like a mini helicopter, butterfly, or hummingbird. At first I thought it was a butterfly but it the winds were beating too hard. I asked R if he had ever seen the like. He also said no. As kiddos and adults we have spent a good deal of time outdoors. Just seemed like Nature was putting on a show just for me. Thank you for giving me a framework for something I have always done-- admire those small bits of life.

June yes this day surely is wonderful. Plenty of sunshine breeze and you can feel the crispness in the air. I enjoyed our walk down toward the river that runs next to our complex. Unfortunately it's not level so not much walking involved, but still pretty to walk down and see. Also, plenty of 'new ground' for LuLa to sniff LOL.
Wonderful that you get to enjoy Mother Nature. All those little blessings truly do add up to make for a much better day and mindset.

I didn't get to walk this morning because we got a shower just as I was getting ready to go.We have gotten very little rain so far but the city of Elgin got a good shower last night and again today while we were in town. The minute we left the city limits no rain.
Cathy KOKO and it will come off when it's ready.I'm sure your DGD appreciated the picture.I wouldn't buy an air fryer that cost that much either.
Ann You can keep your 33 degrees this time of year.LOL. That is considered cold not cool here.We have had light rain but as far as tomorrow we don't know yet.Enjoy your soup.A check is always worth the walk to the mailbox.I don't blame you for waiting for Carl.My heavy lifting days are over as well.
MJ Good luck at your urologist appointment and at Wells Fargo.I'm glad DaBoyz enjoyed being there and I know you and Toots enjoyed them also.
Thanks Susi. Not enough rain yet for sure.Shopping felt a little rough after PT this morning but I found all I went for.I'm glad you will be able to go to a restaurant you have always wanted to try.
June I'm sure you deserve a break anytime.Enjoy your longer walk.We won't get a direct hit from TS Beta.Just hoping for a little rain.Since we still have leftovers I still haven't tried the air fryer.

Bee Enjoy your winter soups as it gets cooler.
June I am glad it's been a great walking day. What a great visual of a grasshopper flying vertically. We have a bumper crop of grasshoppers and they are big. When we came home this morning we saw a beautiful owl.
PT was somewhat painful this morning.I saw a different therapist once I have seen before but not often. My IT band and hamstrings were so tight she said she could have played a violin on it.I knew it felt like there is a tight band on the right side of my knee that won't loosen up and I found out why. It's the IT band.

LOL Becky...I'll gladly keep it Sorry it rained on your parade as you were heading out to walk. Oh I would LOVE to see an owl. At night we sometimes hear an owl hooting. Such a haunting sound. I've always been fascinated by owls. Praying that you knee feels better. Took our final walk of the evening. Not sure if I mentioned but as we were walking earlier, we bumped into another couple that came back from their home in AZ. We chatted and sat under their carport. Pat excused herself and came out with a platter of cold cuts bread and condiments along with sparkling water. We sat, munched and talked more. Finished off with a cup of coffee. Needless to say, we never did get to have our lo pot roast as we were way too full. Tomorrow is another day. Also the day to finish switching over the closets. Carl was too tired after mowing and trimming Carol's bushes. Sweet dreams all!
