Good morning and Happy Monday.
This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome

Good morning all. I have not read the posts from the weekend. I am going to go back and do that. I spent my first night in the new house last night. All of my stuff has been moved there so I told DH I couldn't continue to live out of 2 houses. It is affecting my mood and that affects my eating. Also I was unable to cook at the old house because all of my kitchen stuff had already been moved. Last night I slept on an air mattress. I took the dogs with me and they were so good. (they have been to the new house several times) We moved the washing machine and the dryer over the weekend and I threw a few towels in the washing machine last night before I went to bed. I got up this morning and the machine never drained and there was water all over my laundry room floor. I got the water turned off to the machine but I couldn't get it to drain. I had to call DH at 5 a.m. to get him to come help me. We did get the washing machine drained and all the water cleaned up. DH is going back out this afternoon to see if he can figure out what is wrong with it. I need to channel my inner Lora and see if I can figure it out too. I will admit last night was very peaceful for me. Just me and the dogs. No TV, No internet (still not hooked up) After I finished all of my "projects" I ate a simple dinner and read a book.

Susie, so sorry that your Boston trip fell through. Woo Hoo that your YDD is on her way to VA. I went last year for a training class and loved it there. I would love to go back with DH and explore with him. It will be awhile before we make any big trips. Sorry about the dang migraine auras That's no good. How far do your children live from you? It is nice that you get to spend so much time with them. I should spend more time with my DD. Lora your post on Saturday about the cool weather and coffee has me day dreaming of sitting on my new patio with a cup of coffee with a book. Maybe I can do that this weekend. Ohhh so excited about your social plans at the pizza place. Crustless pizza, I wish I had somewhere around here that did that. Jill glad that the church trip worked out for you. How was your date on Saturday. Congrats on your 1 lbs loss over the weekend. OH geez, sorry your DS wallet was stolen, thank goodness someone found it with his IDs still in there. My DD leaves her wallet in her car all the time. I have told her over and over to take it in with her. Janet I hope your Rosh Hashanah celebrations went well. Good job getting the gym. You are so good to your friend. RobinMD sorry about your frustrating week. Still no cable and still no fence. Let me correct that - part of the fence is up we had to add to it - the addition isn't done. I will be working on those things this morning - calling cable company and fence company. I hope everyone has a great day.

I was up early and off to my outdoor exercise class...boy, at 46 degrees, it was quite different from a couple of weeks ago...several layers, but it was great by the time we finished - ha.

Hello everyone!
Sorry I didn't post yesterday. It didn't feel like we did a lot, but I kept busy all day long. Our visit with old friends was great. We sat on the patio of the pizza joint and the weather was perfect. It was a nice catch-up for everyone, I think. The "no-dough" pizza was good. Mine was sausage, pepperoni, ham and extra mushrooms. Mark had green peppers as well. I think the part I enjoyed most was that I didn't have to make it or clean up after it. haha! All though on the way home, Mark said his was good, but he likes my "no dough" version better. Lol
Jana - thanks for starting us. Good grief with the washer! So it held on to water in the tub as well as let some out all over the floor? WTHeck? Did you put in new rubber gaskets on both ends of the hoses when you moved it? We learned that little trick the hard way. That might account for the water on the floor. Was the wall behind the washer wet as well? and was the drain hose pushed all the way into the outlet drain? IDK how any of those would explain the water left in the drum though. I hope your movers didn't damage something in transport. Fingers crossed that it's something simple to figure out. And so, so, so sorry for the mess you had to clean up. How frustrating!
Jill - I saw that you asked about our friends, they live in Lakewood Ranch, FL. Kinda/sorta in the Sarasota area (I think). After retiring from a long career with Dow Chemical, he ended up down there and started up his own distillery. I think it's called Loaded Cannon Distillery. Anyway, everyone there except me and one other wife have known each other since middle school and high school. They're all terrific people. There were 7 of us in all last night.
RobinMD - I'm glad you got the pool all set for winter, sorry you won't be enjoying it for some months, but at least that chore is not hanging over your head. Right?
Susie - 46?! Brrrrrr! We started of at 56. and are only supposed to get up to 71 today. I'm fine with that. Lol
Janet - Yeah for your gym time over the weekend! Great job!
Waving to anyone I'm missing. I MIL and FIL are coming up on Saturday to watch the first football game with us. It's a later game, and I just found out that they want to spend the night so that they don't have to drive home after dark (which is why I invited them for the game for the following weekend which is an early game... insert eye roll here). So this week, on top of food prep for Saturday, now I also need to pack up all of my paint supplies, rocks, fold up the table and get everything moved out of the guest room so that we will be able to pull out the trundle for the day bed so that they'll have a place to sleep. I'm not mad, even if sounds that way. I'm just a little aggravated. We purposely asked them for a different weekend so I wouldn't have to do all of that. Oh well.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Each day we all have a decision to make. Will you give up, give in or give it your all?
Hello ROs, Jana, what a bummer to start your day like that, after having such an enjoyable time being by yourself the evening before! I hope it is an easy fix for you. Lora, sounds like a fun visit! I have to laugh at the visit that is happening on the wrong weekend! I get the frustration, for sure. It is just a bit disrespectful, even if unintended. Susie, we are under a freeze warning tonight. I brought one plant in, and put two others on the porch behind the chairs, hoping they will survive the night. It is going to get back up to 80 this week, and 50's and 60's at night! Crazy. This is definitely the time of year for layers! I actually got hot out in the sun today..
I mowed all around the house today, and the dogs' yard. I also got my plates for Mom's car. It was very easy, and they were really organized over there. I went a bit early and was actually out of there about 10 minutes after the appointment was supposed to start! That is another thing that has been weighing on me....getting the car running and tagged so that I can use it. I was really concerned about letting it sit any longer. At some point, I'll have to decide which car I want to keep, or if I want to sell both and get something new. Anyway, I'm getting rid of the stressors one by one! I'm pretty tired this evening, even though I dozed until 8:30 this morning. It was great! I'm going to go set up the coffee pot, figure out what to take for lunch tomorrow, and head upstairs to watch TV in bed for a while. I hope everyone is having a good start to the week! Waving to all I missed...
Hi Everyone, I had a pretty good day I think overall. My teaching partner and I had less issues today overall. We are getting into the zoom room with much less problems so I have some time to work on things in between and I am sure that overall I am not bugging our family worker with as many technical issues as before. On Friday I couldnt turn off the faucet tight to the bathtub. I put a messgage in their service email. I thought at first when I got home they had fixed it but they hadnt. Its a shame all that water is running but its not overflowing. I am going to call them in the morning. I forgot today to call. Susie, my friend will not call her son in law and my oldest sister keeps saying no to me calling him and she hasnt called the number to the agency that could probably help her. My other sister says maybe I should call a hotline similar to one that you would call for child abuse that is anonymous but she isnt being abused tho and I feel nervous calling that number. I'd rather call her son in law than some agency but my sister is totally againgst me calling him. I am afraid that I could go over there and find she hurt herself so bad that is fatal. I'd feel much worse if that happened. I helped fill out her registration to vote. She initially said she wasnt going to vote but convinced her that at least she had a say even if it could go either way. Jana, that is too bad about the water all over the floor. Glad tho that you got to stay and sleep at your new house tho. Have a good remainder of the night.
oh, one quick thing to add. My friend has been trying to get me to trying to share a screen in the zoom room. I did try and shared a story while the kids watched. I tried to stop the screen when it was finished but we could hear someone probably on another video talking and tried to stop it but ended up cutting the meeting short. I tried just putting on another version of the story but my partner was saying they already heard and too long yet she played the same long song from her phone in front of the screeb.
