Now I can see they are little squirrels ๐
Bob wanted to set up our free year of Apple TV. Now I canโt get back to regular tv but have Pluto, Netflix and Prime. Pluto has world surfing championship on which is more relaxing than world news ๐คฃ
I will PTMH. I did not add on to my morning walk because I met a neighbor who has working in her yard and we talked for a while. I did get extra walking at Walmart. Today the owner of the fireplace insert business is coming in the afternoon to take accurate measurements for our insert. I finished Noraโs class Halloween bags yesterday and will deliver them to her teacher in two weeks.i have to wash one load of laundry and am not sure what else Iโll do. Dinner is grilled mahi mahi, sautรฉed Swiss chard and salad. Eating light makes the scale go down.

June thanks for the start. Good to work on your personal goals as well as your work.
Audrey I shall join you in PTMH. I hear you on the news. Nice you could chat with your neighbor. Your meal sounds good.
I just closed our screem room door. Too chilly to sit out.
Sleep well.

Back on track after a HUGE use of weeklies last night. The scale is up to 181.6 but it will go down again. The trip took HOURS yesterday and hubby was tired at the end. My sister said she had read it is wiser to make more frequent trips as going to more stops increases the likelihood of catching covid-19. Evidently one trip to one place and home to sanitize is safer as you don't have hit or miss sanitizing at many stops. Anyway...may do that in the future instead of saving everything up to do in one BIG shopping trip. And, the motor that pumps the water to the roof is not working SO we are back in conservation mode again until this afternoon when the plumber/electrician comes to see what needs to be done to fix it.
SUSI: Hooray for washing away the weekend salt bombs!
ANN: I agree with you on not really wanting to go out to restaurants. I wouldn't mind takeaway but hubby would rather eat at home. My sister IS relieved and I think my BIL is, too. He does NOT want more surgery so will see what the doctor thinks after the blood test and another scan. I remember houses with smaller closets...usually built long ago when people had less clothing to put into them, I guess.
MJ: I hope you find a solution to making Phase Four of the RussStuff easier and take less time. Cancer is a nasty thing...hope Ted Zuber will not suffer. How do you do the personals like that with everyone's quote in one message?
BEE: Did you solve the computer keyboard problem with the extra a. showing up? you said it cleared up on its own...gremlins is my guess My mother had a pressure cooker explode...the one I have is heavy duty stainless steel with a lock mechanism that has the top and bottom overlap and kind of hook together so it won't explode. It has had the gasket blow twice and that can be messy but it is not like what mom said happened when she had her little explosion. Looking forward to hearing what your doctor explained.
AUDREY: How marvelous to have a GOOD shopping trip! What a kind thing to donate Halloween costumes to the shelter! Hope your doctor's appointment went well - wise to NOT have your stomach growling while at the appointment Mom used to have lightweight cotton pretty summer coverlets to put on the beds and here in Lebanon there are cotton covers that people use instead of duvets. I also remember going to a friend of my mother's for an overnight and she gave me a flannel sheet as sheet and cover...thought it was snuggly and not too hot...funny that memory came to me now.
BECKY: What did you have to eat to celebrate your anniversary? I hope you can loosen the IT Band over time.
JUNE: Hope you slept well last night and have a plan that is easy to accomplish today.

Good morning all. Waking up feeling refreshed puts a smile on my face. Cathy sorry about the scale being up. You are right...it WILL go back down again. Sorry your shopping trip was so long and tiresome for you and DH. I have a good size list...and plan on going Friday, unless Carl goes while I'm getting my hair cut/colored tomorrow.
Hope the plumber and electrician can fix your water issues.
I already have sheets washing. More laundry on my agenda for today. I was shy a about 500 steps in making my Garmin goal. Will aim for making it today. Waving.....

The PET scan showed my cancer is only in the growth on my derriere. The bad news is that it is extremely close to the wall of my intestine. If it invades that, it could get much worse.
Since I will take no chemo or radiation, my only other option is the colostomy. The cancer is too close to the sphincter muscle to save it. AND there is no replacement for that muscle.
The last thing the doc said to me was that she was notifying the surgeon and I should have an appointment within a week.
Before I could get back to Hwy 24, from Thibodaux Regional, the surgeon's office was calling me with an appointment for next Tuesday.
I will keep you Sisters updated as I travel this uncharted road. I know God has some surprises for me, and some pot holes that will test and strengthen my faith.
The song God gave me on my way to bed last night was Joy Unspeakable. I sang it every time I woke up and have sung it all day.
Peace has reigned in me since June 30th when I had my first appointment with the surgeon for the biopsy.
I thank ALL of you for your prayers, friendship and just being here at our round table.

(((Bee))) my mother had her first hospitalization other than childbirth when she was 85 years old. She had a blocked colon after years of taking phosphate of soda for constipation. She had a colostomy and after a year it was reversed but then she needed it put back. She managed ok with it. Unlike you my mother wasnโt a big fan of fruit and vegetables and I am sure that caused her issues. We are all here for you with prayers and love as you can continue on your journey.
