How do you handle temptations that are in the house?

I keep sweets that tempt me out of the house. I do have snack bars and I'll eat them. Actually been eating them lately and probably need to think about that. Need to think of something else to have when I get hungry. If I had something that called my name in the house I would probably struggle, which is why I keep sweets out of the house.

When out of the house they are not a temptation SO I tend to not have them in the house. That said...I do have cheddar cheese that is hard to resist so cut it off in 3/4 - 1 oz and use it sparingly. I don't have sweets in the house except homemade jam and sugar and carob molasses so measure and use sparingly. When I do plan to splurge I bring in the amount I am willing to spend points on and that is that. Not having Wednesday temptations is helpful but also lonely.

- My temptations are anything with sugar. I cannot bring anything in the house that has sugar in it like the delicious Celebration Cake at Meijers where I shop.
- If I want a treat its bought at the store and eaten outside of my house or I just can't have it, works well for me.
- I don't bake anymore so that helps as well.
- I don't buy Halloween candy anymore because I used to buy it and eat a lot of it. π

I keep my temptations out of the house for the most part. I usually donβt crave sweets or chips unless Iβve had wine. I allow just enough to enjoy on a pizza night or with Sunday dinner.

The only things I consider tempting in my environment are snack bags of chips, DH will have one quite often, but he has about 30 lbs. more to play with than me. My cheese addiction is a constant tug of war, but one I am willing to engage in. I weight and measure it. If I can keep it to under 2 oz. at a time it seems to not be a factor.

Like most of you, I manage best when keeping them out of the house, and for me that means salty crunchy chippy snacks. We do keep pretzels around but I've managed to not gobble them up like I used to in the early quarantine days, so go me! And like lani,I am a frommage whore. I LOVE cheese! All year I wait for the holidays so we can have our New Years Even Swiss Fondue, and no I don't bother counting the points because I have no idea what it would even be. I indulge in cheese heavily that day, and the rest of the year in moderation. I eat cheese practically every day and I stopped buying the LF cheese during the early part of the quarantine because it was easier to find regular cheese. I just take the extra points hit and enjoy the hell out of it!

Yes, I own it! Although so far I haven't had to actually trade sex for cheese. Maybe when the zombie apocolypse happens.
