Do you have problems with considering a container of food (like a pint of ice cream, a bag of chips) a single serving?

Story time: in first marriage I would buy small containers of yogurt for my husband. He would take one container and eat it. Decided it was more economical to buy a quart container. He comes home takes the quart container and eats the whole container in one sitting. That was my first exposure to the container equals one serving.

I don't think I have any foods in my life that cause me this problem. I don't keep snack foods in the house. It would have to be something that triggered me like sweets. I eat plain food and once I'm satisfied I lose interest in the food. Although I make a big raw veggie salad at night and will eat until full on that.

Maybe? I don't usually buy that type of food/beverage often and when I do it is for a group and not for myself. When I do opt to do this I do so knowingly, decide in advance it will happen, buy the larger "serving" and then enjoy, count the points and move on.

On ocaasion I do have problems with quantity I can eat of a food, mainly foods with sugar. This is why I can't have a very small Birthday Cake in my house because I can eat half or all of it in one sitting or standing! This is one reason I'm struggling to get down to goal. I have been working on not bringing it in my house and have lost 4.5 pounds. π€

Nope. I do consume snack bags of chips (one per week) and the whole bag is a single serving. I am very vigilant about checking labels and seeing how many calories exactly is a single serving.

Not really. Certain chippy snacks I can polish off in a sitting without thinking about it, but I don't do that very often now.

I havenβt experienced that where food is concerned since I stopped bringing in the trigger foods. I have on occasion spent unplanned points when I decided to finish off an open bottle of wine. π
