Where did this week go? affirmation - I exercise daily! health goal - step off the grain train! fitness goal - min 30 min of any focused activity gratitude - Magnolia outside my window is ready to pop, and my Amarillis is growing a second bloom stalk. How cool is that?

Good morning all! It feels almost like spring here. Dance on Lisa, dance on. And don't get sick, Suzanne! I wish we could post photos uploaded from our computers. My son sent me two photos from the raptor rehab place he volunteers at - he is learning how to do a "hold," to safely hold a raptor so a vet can examine and treat it, or for the most hoped for situation - a release! He is holding a beautiful Peregrine falcon. You have to learn to gather the ankles in one hand (no small trick - those talons look fierce) then cradle the bird in the other arm. The falcon does not look happy! My cough got so bad that I had to resort to another call to the walk-in. They prescribed an inhaler and these coughing pills called Benzonatate. They help to suppress the reflex. The inhaler also seems to be working already. I should be better in three to four days. Daily Affirmation - you gotta do what you gotta do. Fitness Report - finished up at PT last night! It's been a long but productive journey. Health Goal - keep walking the road to better health. Gratitude - almost a full night's sleep.

Pat, oh my, you have really been through the ringer this season! I sure hop this does the trick for you! Sounds like you need a complete rest!
I just tried my spiralizer. Pretty cool, actually! I made a simple zucchini, pesto, tomato salad, which is delish! I'll have to stock up on other veggies to spiralize!
Pat, a while ago you had mentioned being tired of your recipes. It might have been on FB. I saw someone mention cooking from different parts of the world, I love this idea, and need to venture in that direction also. Did you try any new recipes?

Lisa, is your spiralizer a twisty or a hand crank? I've been looking at the Paderno for some time. Alas, no new recipes here. I've been so darn sick we're eating steamed veggies and rotisserie chicken and boxed rice mixes.

I really need to get in the habit of posting in the morning.....that would be a great reason to get up earlier....and go to bed earlier.
For what it's worth, here are my thoughts for the day:
Daily Affirmation: I feel good because I forgive myself and others (<-work in progress) Fitness report : Fitness class and 3/4 of the wt circuit Health Goal: moderation! Gratitude: mostly good health
