BOO Slept well and hope y'all did too. It's very cold here. When I woke up the temperature was 21! The moon last night was absolutely beautiful. I stepped out in the screen room and it was even brighter reflecting off the snow. Just wish it were warm enough to 'sit out' LOL.......tonight I will go to view it again
We will go and pick up something special for miss LuLa on her 9th bday. After that...no real plans for the day. Just puttering around here and will bundle up and walk. It's supposed to warm up later. Sun is already coming out now so that's good.
Yeah to the maintain, Pam. Must have all balanced out with the other good choices and the walking. That is great that you have people stopping over and staying at the camp during this time. Never thought of the looters being 'out there'. Such a shame that they would take advantage of this type of situation. Great job on your walking.
Interesting re: the hurricane names and also the Anonymous Angel. Thanks for sharing.

Hey all, we are home this weekend. Just couldnāt muster up energy to go down last night, drive home tomorrow and head back Wednesday after my car is ready. Weāre both glad for a break. Itās still beautiful out there today and the snow stuck around. We have a few errands to run at Staples for printer ink and paper and to the sausage import shop to get some of that good smoked sausage and kielbasa. Iām going to make another batch of the red beans and rice since it was such a huge hit.
No fox sighting so far today! Iād love to see the little guy again because he was so pretty. And heās doing us a favor by keeping the random mouse from getting into the house!
Last night DH and I tried three different movies to find one that we liked between Amazon prime and Netflix and nothing suited us! Sometimes thereās just nothing good that we can find to watch. Thatās why sometimes we resort to documentaries about travel and so forth. We watched a good one on Netflix last week about a British man and his wife sailing to Iceland from England. He spent a lot of time in Scotland and it was really interesting. Much better than some of the silly movies that are on.
I better get crackinā because I have a lot to accomplish today even around here. BBL
Ann, I am going to make sure I go out to see the moon tonight. Happy Halloween everyone! Oh, meant to mention that my ukulele costume sing-along was fun. Everybody had a different fun costume on from nutcrackers, to Egyptian princesses to zombies. I was my usual flapper girl since thatās the only costume I have around and all I had to wear was the headpiece and a lot of bling around my face along with my jewelEd long cigarette holder. Ha ha. We really donāt expect much on the way of trick-or-treaters tonight because of Covid and the snow. But, just the same will pick up one bag of candy to make sure we arenāt leaving them out in the cold literally!
Pam, Iām glad you have somebody watching over your camp for a few days. I agree with Ann. Those looters are such nasty people. Have a good day!

Yeah to the break, Judy. I was thinking of you traveling....nice that you are both home bound Judy happy that you enjoyed the Halloween ukulele party. LOL to being a flapper We don't get kids here. Only KIDS are the two that live here I shall have a few pieces of the candy that we bought. I let Carl hide it so that he can divvy it out LOL..I can't be trusted plain and simple Happy shopping and I hope it's not crowded. I hear you on the movies and series. Right now we are still plugging through with the Arrow...it's OUT THERE in the fantasy sense of the word. But, I must say, it occupies my mind LOL.....Not sure what season we are on, but there are a boatload of them. The movies and series and books that I avoid are anything that is too sad. Everything else is up for grabs. Well....coffee is calling me. I had a late start as I was paying bills. Nice to know that the task is done and we are 'safe' for another month...... Later I shall plan my day. Chicken is on the menu as I have chicken tenders in the fridge...just not sure what I'll turn it into. Stay warm.

Good morning all!
Got a 3 mile walk in with Debbie this morning in crisp 48 degree air. It is a gorgeous sunny day with lots of blue sky and should get up to 70. I have a grocery pickup at 10:00 and LSU-Auburn game at 2:30, but not much else on the agenda. I may get ambitious and do a few chores, since nothing got done yesterday afternoon. I am SO glad that whatever tummy upset I had is gone today and I feel much better.
I am going to try a new pancake recipe for my breakfast/brunch and will let you know how it turns out. Lunch will be soup and sandwich if I get hungry later. Dinner is air fries and hamburgers. The scale had a new lower number today not seen since March of 2018 so very motivating and just what I needed.

Yeah to the lower number, Pam. I know just how motivating that can be. Your 70 degree weather sounds wonderful. Enjoy. Hope the new pancake recipe comes out well. Also happy that your tummy issues are gone I just finished my 'Turkish breakfast' lunch will be soup pita bread and hummus and supper...I'm still on the fence as to what I'm going to do with the chicken tenders. May just grille them and pair them up with baked beans or coleslaw or a salad....decisions decisions. I always do my monthly thing with my weight...my starting weight and finishing weight...I'm down .5 Still maintaining in my happy zone with a few dips under that number. All in all I think I'm doing well with maintaining..... time for coffee and plenty of it

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! Judy, your party sounded like so much fun!!
Ann ~ I slept well also ā and woke to temps in the 20ās (but no snow). I missed the moon last night. Actually our door wall faces West and I donāt see the moon until much later. It is supposed to be sunny all day and get up to almost 50! I was hoping we could have a fire tonight but weāll see how the weather goes?? We have chicken in our future as well since I cooked a batch of breasts in the Instant Pot and still have some in the fridge. But if DH lays a fire, we'll roast hot dogs and then marshmallows for S'Mores. That will be our Halloween Party.
Judy ~ Funny that right after I talked about Ollieās the flyer showed up in your mailbox! The store looks ājunkyā when you walk in ā they are not marketing ambience. But Iāve bought several things there that I like! My first egg poacher (which cost more) always stuck and made me aggravated. Then I saw an egg poacher by Farberware at Ollie's and bought it and it has worked like a non-stick champ ever since! I also bought our electric blanket there ā it is a Sunbeam and looks just like the ones in the pricier stores. Thanks for the picture of the red fox! He is a beauty, isnāt he?? Yikes! to how much snow you have!!
Pam ~ Congrats on the maintain ā¦. That is a win in my book!! Especially if Iāve indulged. Thanks for the info about the Anonymous Angel. I had never heard that story either, and it was very special. Glad you have someone staying at the Camp to ward off looters. What a shame you have to do that?? But when I watched the news this past Summer and saw all the looters āprotesting a killingā it didnāt make sense to me then either. Glad to hear your tummy issues are resolved.
My pot of Turkey 3-bean chili got packaged up and one container put in the fridge and one in the downstairs freezer. It is a ārecipeā I made up several years ago and this year I added one can of Rotel tomatoes (my new favorite). It tastes delicious (I use black, white and green beans). The green are either limas or edamame (whichever I have). So I have soup for lunches this week.
I had two experiences in the past 24 hours that remind me how good God is! Last night DH and I watched TV together and at the same time DGS from Florida texted me with a question and we ended up āchattingā most of the next hour. We are getting acquainted with him after many years. At the same time I received a text from one of my Head Start teachers that she had just heard I was coming back soon. This morning I sent a Halloween text to a friend who is on deployment in Kosovo and he answered right away and we enjoyed a āchatā via text. I ended up feeling like my love tank is full. Though some of our biological family has decided not to be in our life, God has placed so many others to fill the void.
I have changed our bed and made it and still need to cook some HB eggs in the Instant Pot, then walk, and then the afternoon is MINE!! Time to go put the sheets in the dryer.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue so happy that you slept well also. I can so relate to biological people not being around. I too feel very blessed to have our small but sincere circle of friends that we consider 'family'. So nice that you got to chat with everyone last night. It does make for a wonderful warm and fuzzy feeling Our weather right now is sunny and temperature is reading 39. I will go out to walk...just not sure how long I'll last LOL. We also want to go and get miss LuLa a little 'something special' for her day The chores that I wanted to complete are done as well as bill paying. Once we get back from a walk and shopping, the rest of the day will also be mine....and I'm loving the sound of that! Will CBL

Happy birthday to Lula! Sheās a lucky little girl! ā¤ļøš¶
Sue, Iām so happy for you to hear from your DGS and isnāt it wonderful that he has reached out to you! Never too late to reconnect in my book.
If I find out where Ollies is located, Iāll check it out. It sounds a lot like some of our places like Job Lots or a few we once had. They bought lots and sample sales etc. Glad you have found bargains!
Ann, I meant to add that I do like Aquaphor, too, for the itchy legs. I also found a good Shea butter Whipped cream by Gold Bond that works great, too.
We had a busy day running here and there. We went to staples for printer ink which, by the way, cost the same as the printer! Lol Then we went to Home Depot for DHs errands, then to Worcester to the sausage store. I picked up Pierogis , too, for DH. He loves them. Iāll make stuffed cabbage but Iām clueless on pierogis. Iāll make the red beans and rice again This week with the Garlic smoked sausage.
When we got home, I had FaceTime calls from DD, DDIL and the kiddos in costumes. Cute! DGS is a mad scientist! In NJ, the baby was a lion and DGD a unicorn all sparkly.
We had takeout clams and crabmeat stuffed baked haddock from a great seafood spot tonight. Iām completely satisfied and so far no trick or treaters though I do have candy ready. DH will have to hide it on me, Ann! Iām not trustworthy either!

Meant to add, wow, Pam. Great on the new low weight number! Also, I read an article in our paper about a local athlete who plays for LSU. I forget his name. Iāll check. Go LSU!

Hi All ~ Well, we got our barely 50 dg and sunny. DH lit a fire in the fire pit and we roasted our hot dogs over the fire, then had them with guac & chips and mac & cheese. Later we toasted marshmallows over the fire and made S'Mores! What a feast we had!! I went way over my SP but that is rare for me, so I tracked it all and turned the page.
I went out for a long walk about mid-day while my sheets were in the dryer and then put them away. I did manage to carve out some reading time this afternoon (while DH was watching the UM/MSU football game). All in all a perfect day!!
I have already turned most of our clocks back so I'll be ready for the morning. I always do it before I go to bed. A few of mine have DST switches on them which makes them very easy to reset. I have turned on the electric blanket and the humidifier and the diffuser with Lavender in it, so bed is looking inviting!
Sweet dreams all!!

This day went by very quickly....not sure why that is. We took our walks, got miss LuLa her 'treat' and I made a chicken casserole with the chicken tenders. I would probably never be able to recreate it again LOL...it has a little of this and that in it...healthy request cream of chicken soup, egg noodles, peas, carrots, mushrooms, onions and I topped it with shredded sharp cheddar cheese and Progresso Italian breadcrumbs. I never measure....LOL...and that's my problem. We have enough for another meal. I have it in a container and froze it and then I'll seal it. I was also a 'bad girl' and got into the butterfingers Oh well...tomorrow is another day and a new month to boot....my confession is over Judy yes LuLa surely is a lucky little girl. I know you treat D&D the same way too Why have fur kids if you aren't going to spoil them rotten. I hear you on the cartridge ink costing the same as the printer. What's up with that? ? I do like going into Staples, though. Used to love browsing around in there for some odd reason. Awesome that you got to face time with your family. Those costumes sound darlling. Sue LOL I've also changed the clocks back. One less thing to do tomorrow. Coffeemaker is also all loaded and ready to go. Can you tell I'm really NOT a morning person All that I do is my rote memory. So happy that you got to enjoy the fire. Your meal sounded over the top delish. Glad that you enjoyed. I'm jammified and now going to mosey on over the the sectional, but my feet up and grab my kindle. Sweet dreams all....see you in NOVEMBER

We had a few trick-or-treaters so I was glad I bought extra candy. I like to keep some on hand for when the kids come. It doesnāt usually tempt me as I prefer my Lindor Truffles or Ghirardelli squares.
My pancakes came out good and DH gave them his seal of approval. They are made with old fashioned oats, egg whites, 1% lowfat cottage cheese, pecans and bananas as the main ingredients . I forgot the banana and they were still good and only 3 SP for two.
I picked up our Walmart order and stopped by Super 1 for the few items Walmart says they didnāt have. Putting away groceries now takes longer than shopping for them, lol.
I ordered a Bissell Steam Mop from Walmart online as it was $30 cheaper than the very same thing in our local store. It came in today and as soon as I got it put together and read the manual I commenced cleaning the kitchen tile floor. It didnāt completely clean the grout, but DH and I both think it looks way better. I plan to go over it again and then resort to other methods of cleaning the worst spots.
I ended up having a bowl of something Campbellās Soup calls gumbo. It had chunks of tomato in it, so NOT gumbo, but it wasnāt terrible. I also had baby carrots with hummus and some Stacyās pita chips. Dinner was hamburgers and fries.
Now I am off to get a shower and jammies. I plan to read and then get to bed a little earlier than the past two nights.
