Day 6 – Find a Diet Coach
Support is an important part of our success at this. Beck advocates us getting a diet coach to support us with help and encouragement through our journey. Today’s assignment is to get you a diet coach.
A diet coach will:
Keep you motivated.
Build your self-confidence.
Help you to solve problems.
Keep you accountable.
Help you take a more useful perspective.
Sources for diet coaches:
A close friend or family member.
Do the Beck book with someone.
Join an organized group.
Find a diet professional.
Investigate internet support.
Beck suggests you discuss things at least weekly with your coach, initiate more communication when you have problems, and contact daily if you are really struggling.
If you have a diet coach, tell us about it, if you don’t tell us who you might get as a coach.

The people in my WW meetings and people in my Facebook and Pro Board groups are my diet coaches. Special thanks to all you guys for being my coaches.

My diet coaches are: * Connect people on the WW app who post their amazing stories. * Pro Board people who inspire me with being at goal and maintaining their weight, thank you to my heroes! * My kids who I talk to about weight etc. * Mayo Clinic app with daily inspirations on weight, exercise, healthy eating etc.

Hello to all of you marvelous coaches
My daily and sometimes more than once daily coach/buddy is my sister in California. We check in morning and evening and sometimes in between. We share what we ate for the day, where we hit with points/bites, how we are feeling, cheer one another up when the scale is not moving or when we went off program. It has been one of the best times for us to be on a "diet" ever since we are there for one another.
There are other groups online but there is nobody in person that is a coach. My husband THINKS he knows it all, knows the BEST way to lose weight (he is big into mindfulness) and would gladly monitor me...but that is not for me...much prefer the longer distance coach option in my sister and all of you!

Coaches really help keep me accountable: 1. This group including surfgirl privately 2. my husband- he’s into tracking and exercise 3. various Peloton groups on FB both for inspiration and ideas

Lucky you - all of you in the BBR crew - you're my coaches, as well as lizlor as my sidepiece (lucky girl). I really don't feel I need a paid group at this point because we have such a great group here, and I've been checking out the BBR on the other board sometimes too just to reinforce, since they go about their reviews different to ours, and both have their merits!

Myself My former WW leader-turned-friend My Goddaughter (a certified nutritionist) Everyone here on the BBR Weekly Weigh-in Thread (Especially after the review ends) A few WW Coaches I've become friendly with this year

My coach is my WW leader and WW meeting members.
