Good morning all. Slept very well last night even though I took a rather lengthy nap later in the day. I was exhausted when I came back from the salon.
Today I shall go to Tractor Supply and Walmart and then just hang out for the rest of the day. I want to get all shopping one and done.
Our Ocean State Job Lot is offering a 25% discount all week for Veterans. We will there at some time before the 11th of this month.
Happy bday to your DH. How nice that he heard from all the children. Bet that made his day. Good luck at your PCP appointment. I feel the same way when I procrastinate. Guess I'm a slow learner in that department LOL. Your meals sound delish.
Wishing y'all a wonderful relaxing and OP day.

Good morning!
The scale gods smiled on me today and I am down .9 which puts me 3.5 from goal. That puts a smile on my face and should inspire me to be reasonable with my restaurant meals today. Have a great day!

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
TGIF!! I woke (of course) thinking it was Saturday! But I got up and watched some of the Today Show and played some games on my tablet, all while enjoying my morning coffee. I have had my yogurt 'n berries w/F1 breakfast and am getting ready for my day. Last night's supper was beef hot dogs cut up in vegetarian baked beans with corn on the side. It really hit the spot!
Ann ~ So glad you slept well. Sometimes a nap can sabotage my efforts, but sounds like yours didn't. Red with sparkles used to be one of my favorites!! You'll be glad to get your shopping done today.
Pam ~ I am all too familiar with that feeling that comes from letting things go. I had thought about cleaning out my car for quite some time (like all Summer?) but put it off. In particular I needed to remove my Weather-Tech type floor mats and scrub them and vacuum underneath. Now that it’s done I feel this huge sense of relief! Funny how those things plague us. Glad your DH had a happy birthday!
I felt like I overdid yesterday, as I went out for a walk and just didn't have the energy to finish, so I rested for a minute and when it didn't get any better, I came back home. Then I felt unusually tired all evening. I nodded off for a few minutes while watching TV with DH. We ended up going to bed early at 9, and I went right to sleep. I got up at 6 this morning and feel rested and ready to face the day!
I had the strangest experience with a gift I ordered that the tracker told me was delivered by USPS on Tuesday but it never showed up in my mailbox. Then very early this morning (like 7) I heard a soft knock on my front door and when I opened it there was my gift along with a package from our pharmacy with a bottle of pills in it. Apparently the USPS fairies decided to hand deliver? Whatever, that is another thing off my to-do list.
I do plan to grocery shop today and get my car washed and fill my gas tank but that's about it. I feel like I'm due for an easy day. I got a text from my HS teacher last evening that there was a school board meeting yesterday and the decision was made to continue remote teaching, only now they are giving the teachers the option of doing it from home. She said since everything is done in the classroom (for the kiddos eventual return) she may stay home next week. She just didn't want to mess up my unemployment - but it won't matter a bit since I recertify every other week. I just won't go back until she needs me to. We are going to talk more today, but most likely I will be home again next week.
We have some beautiful weather coming up the next 5 days (around 70). It is already in the mid-50's with sunshine. I think after DH leaves I will do some serious stretching and then head out to walk while I'm fresh. Lunch will be WW Chili but supper is still up in the air. I may fix some leftover pork loin with a sweet potato and a green vegetable. Otherwise, it'll be pork fried rice. Depends on my mood later.
BBL. Make a great day!

Great job, Pam. I am smiling right along with you Nothing like seeing a lower number to make you do what needs to be done. Your walking and good choices all played a HUGE part in that. Give yourself a pat on the back from your New England sistah LOL. Sue so happy that you woke up feeling refreshed. I too was very tired when I came home from the salon which never surprises me. Wearing the mask for long periods of time does that to me. Today I shall try to be as quick as possible in both places and then come home and just walk and relax. Our weather is the same as yours. Going to be beautiful. I'm so happy for that as a dear friend of mine is moving and they will have excellent weather. So sorry things are still up in the air re: your work. Praying that it all works out well for you, Sue. Judy...waving and I shall TRY to get back into the cafe later on. You are always in my thoughts and prayers......

Hi All ~ Well, now there's one more thing off of my to-do list. I got a call from our assistant principal, to explain to me that since I was officially called back from furlough, I am to start submitting payroll effective Monday. That's even more than I could have hoped for! I was thinking just waiting it out at home and collecting my PUA benefits - but this is much more! I won't actually go back to school until the kids (or at least the teacher) returns, and who knows when that will be. Michigan and especially Oakland County is experiencing some drastic rise in COVID numbers so it is quite concerning.

Sue stay safe. I know you will practice all precautions. There is also a rise in COVID in our area as well.
I took a nice 2 mile walk and hopefully that will help pull me out of my funk.

Well, hello everyone! I was absent yesterday with just an unusually busy work day filled with Zooms and then an evening with a uke lesson and a Zoom with my book club pals. Plus I had a lab appointment yesterday for routine blood work before my physical in a couple weeks. I had an "incident" at a gas station in our town. I shop mostly at Stop & Shop - it's handy and I acquire gas points for discounts at Shell station. Anyhow, I had over a dollar in discounts per gallon so I stopped in on the way home from the blood lab. I had a problem with the pump working correctly and I politely asked the attendant to help me He began shouting at me saying he had no idea how to fix anything and that I should replace the nozzle back into the pump and reset it. I explained that the nozzle was still on the pump and I hadn't gotten that far. He repeated it again loudly and yelling at me! I told him I needed help. He never approached the pump. He yelled I JUST TOLD YOU WHAT TO DO!!! Then he motioned at me with go away hand motions. I was really shocked and drove to the station across the street and paid full price to fill up. When I got home, I posted a polite message on our community page asking if anyone knew the owner of the station Well, my question brought about 65 comments and about 100 reactions of people all having the SAME experience! In fact, this guy swore at other women calling them the "B" word and alienated so many. It sort of went locally viral. By noon, I had a call from the Vice President at the headquarters (not Shell but the food store associated with it) who apologized sincerely. He could not have been nicer and wanted to meet me socially distanced, etc. I declined that, but appreciated his help. He did not ask me to take down my posting, but I told him I would anyway because it's not my desire to hurt local business people. It's funny because last night, my son in NJ called and asked me "What happened to you at the Shell Station?" Good grief, word spreads fast. But I do wonder what is wrong with folks to act like that. End of my long story!
Sue, I am so relieved that you will be home for a while. I was worried for you going back to school. But, maybe that is because our numbers are on the rise a lot lately It may not be the same in MI. Glad you can collect your pay, too! Win win! No more rushing around to get back next week which is nice, too.
Ann isn't this weather glorious? I am loving it. Walked a long ways with D&D this am.
Pam, Happy Birthday to DD and DH. DD must have been a nice birthday gift for DH when she was born a day after her daddy. Sounds like you have a nice celebration planned and congrats on being down in weight! You are really doing so well! Are you still following WW? I seem you are doing My Fitness Pal or something else.
I'll check in later on. I am going to sit outside and read. we head to the Cape tomorrow AM. I don't have the energy today. I am also tired...so much swirling around all of us with the election, the virus, other issues...time for a break!

We have a glorious sunny 70 dg. I got my grocery shopping done and put away, but decided to leave the car wash and fill-up for another day.
I am not concerned about school because I know all the precautions that are in place, plus the moment the level dropped and the numbers rose - our superintendent closed in person immediately (which hadn't even opened up yet). He stays on top of this. We have not had any cases in any of our schools, in fact none in my town so far (though there have been in neighboring communities). That doesn't mean it isn't here, but people may be practicing appropriate caution. I am not one of those people who take this lightly, nor is my DH. I mask everywhere; I have hand sanitizer hanging on my purse (and I USE it); I remember not to touch things that others have touched; I distance myself; and I wash my hands frequently. I listen to the experts and believe them! DH read me a quote from our Chief Medical Officer this morning that "if people would wear masks, we could lower our numbers by 70%!! That's huge!!
Yesterday when I took my phone in, they printed up my paperwork (which needed my signature) and the guy put the paper on the counter and set a pen on top of it. I reached in my purse for a Clorox wipe to wipe off the pen (which I had taken to use to wipe my phone when I picked it up) and saw an ink pen, so I used my own. Same thing when I went back to get it and he put the paper on the counter with the same ink pen - but I dug mine out of my purse to sign with. I also took my phone from him with a Clorox wipe and gave it a good wiping before I touched it. I got a lot of strange looks from the two young guys working there, but I have long ago given up caring. If I don't take care of me, who will? I don't want it to be a hospital worker (besides Lord knows they are busy enough already).
OK, stepping off my soap box. Just wanted to reassure you, my dear friends, that I will absolutely take every possible precaution if and when I return to work. For now, I am just back on the payroll and technically "working from home". That puts me one step closer to getting back to work, and some semblance of normalcy in my life. But not at the expense of being careless....

Sheesh Judy. There is not room in this world for that kind of behavior on his part. I would have been livid and I am so happy that you did the post had the conversation with the owner and removed the post. Yes it doesn't take long for that sort of thing to 'get out'. Apparently you were not the only poor soul that happened to. He needs to be fired plain and simple.
Yes this weather truly is glorious. We completed our shopping and everything is put away. Now we are going to enjoy a cup of coffee before walking LuLa again.
Sounds like you had a very busy day. Happy that you are going to sit outside and read.
We just found out horrible news re: our next door neighbor. She had an Xray of her lungs and was sent to Worcester for a test. She got the results and has lung cancer. My heart is breaking for her, her DH and her family. She was told without treatment she would have 1-3 years. She wants to make her own decision. Please keep Harriet in your prayers. Thank you.
Time for coffee.

Sue posting at the same time. I hear you LOUD AND CLEAR and do the same thing whenever I go out. Way I see it is if people don't like my precautions then it's on THEM and not ME. I am tired of all the eye rolls as well. yeah to getting your shopping done. Nothing quite like a stocked up home

Ann, I am so sorry about your neighbor. Poor thing. What awful news to receive. I really cannot imagine. My friend had her third surgery today for the breast reconstruction. I know you know exactly what she is going through. She is my younger friend in her 40s who was too thin for the tummy tuck solution. She was in and home in one day. Yikes, that seems fast but must be how it goes. She is very upbeat and amazingly positive and my hero along with you, Ann!
D&D had two walks today and they are now dining like senior citizens at 4 PM so that I can walk them before dark. LOL Blue hair special as Seinfeld used to say. :-) Neither DH nor I want to chance going out after dark.
Sue, I am sure you and DH are ultra cautious and good to know the schools are so vigilant. Today we are under new laws to wear masks all the time outside even walking and a 10 PM curfew advisory. I feel badly for businesses, but there's really no choice.
I did have a chance to read some of my book on the deck today in the sunshine. Wonderful! I am enjoying the Daisy Jones and the Six very much and it's a different style of writing.
DH went off to his cardiologist appointment this afternoon. Hope it went well.
I'll check in later. THinking about dinner - not sure what is on the menu. I think a takeout is on the horizon - Friday night treat!

Judy thank you for your kind words for Harriet. Carl and I are heartbroken over this news. Her DH passed away about 6 years ago. She was in a very bad way for awhile. She went online to a Christian dating site and met a man fell in love and they married. Al was from California and he sold his property there and moved to MA. They are such a cute couple. My heart goes out to Al and her family. I can still remember her coming over when she had her 'diamond' and glowing like a teenager from ear to ear. Harriet I believe is 81 and Al is 84....so young at heart.
Praying all goes well with DH appointment. Keep us posted.
LOL to blue hair special. Used to love that program. Wild horses won't get me out when it's dark out. Far too many 'critters' to deal with LOL. The other day we saw a bear in back of our shed. Yikes. I thought they would be hibernating by now LOL...guess not! I was hospitalized 4 days after my double M and was in such pain. I shall keep your friend in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks for your kind words Nice that you got to sit out and read. I sat in the screen room for a bit myself. It did feel good. Well, time for me to get comfy and read a bit. Sweet dreams all.

Hi Ann, I think my friend was hospitalized that long for the double M and then she had another prep surgery and the third one now. A lot to go through as you know.
Your friend and her husband sound so cute. So sad for her and I hope they are wrong in their prognosis. Maybe treatment will help.
Off for my ukulele singalong. Have a good night all.
