A big salute on Veterans Day to all who have served.
Becky, I hope you get your medicine today. Our temps are a little cooler today and there is a nice breeze fluttering through the curtains. We got a few drops of rain overnight but nothing like Karen and Kathy have been getting. Ours was more of a tease.
Linda, I can’t believe you have packages sent already. It is nice to be organized. Yay, for the warranty battery. The only time we have oysters is for Thanksgiving’s oyster dressing. Iggy is obsessed and has been since the 80s.
Kathy, I see Publix is implementing a limit on paper towels and TP just like Kroger and HEB. Good thing we have all stocked up. I bet no one TP’d any houses this past Halloween.
Karen, I have a Terrain and Iggy traded his Terrain for a truck last February. I hate the truck. I have to haul myself into it and slide out of it and I refuse to drive it. It did come in handy for hauling the mulch.
Denise, did you get your outdoor work done?
Liz, how are things? How is Zoe doing?
No plans for today other than housework. I set up the bread machine last night and put it on the timer and woke up tp a fresh loaf of bread. Nice function.

Here is link to CDC guidelines for holiday gatherings. COVID 19 and holiday celebrations
Ohio had over 6500 new cases reported yesterday. Many more schools are moving to online only. We are reaching the critical stage and we learned nothing from New York’s critical stage. This is just sad.

Chele, thanks for the start. I'm grateful for all who have served. I don't see limits yet on the Publix Instacart site, but I'm sure they're coming. I'm pretty well stocked and have just been replacing what I use each week. Publix didn't react that quickly last time and continued to have BOGOs on things like Clorox wipes instead of putting limits on them. Trucks are hard to get in and out of and I wouldn't want to drive one either. It's good to know somebody with a truck though. Nice to have fresh bread in the morning! It looks like Eta is coming back to annoy us one last time. They are putting up tropical storm warnings for counties close to us, but not Orange or Seminole so far. Thanks for the CDC link. Linda, nice picture. I'm sure some parents weren't happy at losing their TP stash. What a waste! Karen, looks like Eta changed its mind again and won't be coming towards your brother. Our streak at not getting a storm across the state will end once it comes in on the west coast. Some of Orange County may get tropical storm winds, but I'm on the eastern side of the county. They said the weather won't be as severe here, but we will get more rain.
Waving to everyone. Have a good day.

Thanks for the start, Chele. Nice score at the fish market. I don't think I have ever had octopus. Is the texture similar to calamari? I wish we had a nice fish market here, although Publix usually has a decent selection. I need to check around Osteo to see if there might be one. Enjoy your cooler weather and comfortable breeze. Dale also has a truck and it's a pain to get in and out of, even with the side step. They definitely come in handy for mulch, straw bales, bags of potting mix, etc. though. What kind of truck did Iggy get? Dale doesn't drive his Silverado a great deal because he insisted on getting an 8 ft bed and it's just not convenient for the normal around town trips, so he usually takes the Element instead. I keep forgetting the Zo has a timer function, so I have only used it once or twice. I'll bet waking up to the smell of fresh bread was intoxicating. I saw Dr. Fauci talking about his doing a virtual holiday with the kids and grandkids because they didn't want to put him and his wife at risk. We plan to do what we have done for years--just the two (er, three) of us and we haven't planned the menu yet. Dale mentioned a baked potato "bar" and we might do that. It's truly a shame that so many people in our country don't have the discipline to do what needs to be done to get the pandemic under control so we could get our lives back to some kind of normal. Some people just don't seem to have the capacity to be inconvenienced, even when it's in their best interest.
Linda, I'm glad you were able to figure out the bowl cozy pattern. Those are handy to have and people appreciate them as gifts. It's probably good that people are getting their packages mailed early, given the constraints of the PO right now. It will probably be like that until next spring after DeJoy is history and issues have been corrected. Is your weather a bit warmer today? It figures you woke up early on the day you could sleep late. I hate when that happens. WOW! on the local house getting TP'd. Even if it was the generic stuff, that's a big deal. Nice photo. Those were the days we used to get dressed up for holidays. Congrats on the battery being under warranty. They certainly don't make any money on those kinds of things in the heat you often have.
How are you feeling today, Becky? Did they give you any PT exercises for the IT band? I have had the same problem with some of the stores sending out the email flyer late. Fortunately, the places I typically shop send them out really early on Wednesdays, so they are there when I get up. Sorry for no rain there. We had a little but are expecting a lot more this afternoon.
Kathy, with the storm coming ashore in Tampa, I'm guessing it will another rainy day there. They showed the storm track on the local weather and it looks like it was drunk. It really left a mess in Miami-Dade and Ft. Lauderdale. We are getting light rain right now, but there is some heavier stuff on the way.
They were talking about Black Friday sales on the Noon news, Liz. I'm guessing you and Gary won't be going to visit the family for the holidays. I know you usually do the Black Friday sales. How is Chef doing?
Is your house now ready for winter, Denise? Do you still have lovely weather today?
I decided to cook Arya's dinner pilaf and veggies today, instead of waiting til Friday when I will probably be tired and sore. That is about a 3+ hour event, with the cooking, packaging, and cleaning up, plus all that time standing on the stone floor. But I have 38 dinners in the freezer to which I will add ground turkey and either sweet potatoes or winter squash. I also cooked enough ground beef for about 3 weeks of breakfasts and did a load of laundry that still needs to be put away. But I'm taking a little time to prop up my feet and rest. I also got the MG newsletter this morning and proofed it before sending it to the group. We had wifi back for about 5 minutes and now it's lousy again. We still have about 1.5Gb on the hotspot, so we may stream with it this evening. I need to figure out what I'm wearing to Osteo tomorrow and other than that, I think I will be lazy.

Thanks for the start Chele.I'm also grateful for all who served.I did get my medicine today. So far it seems to have helped a little. It's an anti-inflammatory.We were in the high 50's this morning but got up to 82 this afternoon. How nice to wake up to a fresh loaf of bread. Thanks for the link.I heard TX is the first state to hit 1M cases.Bastrop County which I live in is doing a great job in wearing masks and we only have 125 active cases. That's just about the lowest we have been.
Linda If I were the parents I would not be happy about wasting that TP.Nice picture.
Kathy I heard about Eta making a return visit to FL. Stay safe.
Karen I was hurting more this morning but I took a pill that the surgeon had called in and it seems to feel a little better. When I walk and it starts hurting I just slowed down today and that seems to help as well.I'm not going to push to get my normal steps.I will get in 10K but not much more.I do stretches for my IT band every morning and sometimes they help and sometimes they don't.I get tired just reading your daily activities.LOL. No way would I cook that long for Scooter. As long as we keep her on the Purina One kibble she does fine.Marcy has been throwing up almost every day for awhile and since I changed them to Purina One cat food it seems to have stopped thank goodness. It was just clear when she got sick but I hated to hear her go through that.
