Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Hump Day!! Happy Veteran's Day - and thank you to all who served or are serving our great country!! My favorite veteran is in Kosovo today on deployment so I sent him a text early this morning and he answered right back with "gee, you're up early". Put a smile on my face as well as his.
Ann ~ How very thoughtful of you to open the Cafe even if you may not feel like it. At least you know we are all out here cheering for you and wishing you only the very best!! Take good care of yourself.
I enjoyed a good night's sleep despite the fact that it was quite warm; so I opened the window, then our promised 'cold front' rolled in during the early morning and the temperature dropped dramatically! For one, I am happy to see the cooler temps.
Yesterday I restocked most of my laundry products and some toiletries. I also filled my car with gas and got it washed. The attendant asked me if I wanted both inside and outside? but I had already done the inside (yay for me!). I finished the book I had been working on and I absolutely LOVED it! I hated to see it end. In fact, I will probably re-read it at some point in the future, as I so enjoyed the characters. It was called "The Haunting of Brynn Wilder" by Wendy Webb. So different from anything else I've read at least recently.
We had roasted turkey tenderloin for supper (with enough leftovers for another meal) with sweet potato and green beans. This morning I had my yogurt 'n berries w/F1 for breakfast. Lunch will probably be veggie/bean soup. For supper I am thawing out some pork chops which I plan to cook in the Instant Pot with some Yukon Gold potatoes and baby carrots.
Today I have a special Veteran's Day coupon for Kohl's so I plan to go shopping this morning. I am still getting myself put together for the day so it will be a little while yet.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Hi all and Happy Hump Day!
DH arrived last night and we discovered both of our favorite restaurants are out of Cape Scallops - they are a big hit now so we split a Fisherman's platter with clam chowder on the side. We had shrimp, scallops, haddock and clams with onion rings- this was a meal for one but HUGE.
Sue, I ordered our Thanksgiving dinner from the same restaurant where we had dinner last night. Thanks for putting the "bug" in my ear. I'm excited NOT to have to spend the day cooking. We can compare notes afterwards. I had been planning on Cornish Hens but this will be so much easier! Have fun at Kohls today.
Ann, good to see you here. I hope things will be looking up soon. What a year this has been and we've all had such trials and tribulations when I think back on it with losses and medical issues and divorce trauma. Good to have this group who really understands one another and the support we all get here is wonderful. My mom always said that "Life is a Marathon and we just have to stay the course and put one foot in front of the other sometimes. "
Sue, I downloaded your book. It was a freebie on my Kindle Unlimited. Great reviews so I look forward to reading it.
Have a good one all and I'm thinking of Pam, too. BBL.

Hi All ~ I am back victorious! I shopped at Kohl's with my discounts and one-day coupon and found a "Super Soft Sweater Fleece" for DH to go under the Christmas tree. I also found a cute Christmas T-shirt for me which I can wear with a vest over it. I had to spend enough to reach their minimum for the VD coupon. I did quite well, actually.
I also shopped at Bath & Body Works where I had some coupons. DH has been using a Moisturizing Antibacterial Hand Sanitizer in Warm Vanilla Sugar for some time now, carrying it in his truck. It finally ran out and it is a size they don't carry any more. He really wants that product and that fragrance! Online they had the fragrance but only in a 5-pack of minis, and online only, and shipping was more than the product (WTH?) So I went there today and the gal told me she only had ONE thing left in Warm Vanilla Sugar and wouldn't you know it? it was exactly what he wanted, only bigger. He can either carry the larger one with the pump top, or use the pump to fill his empty one. I stocked up on Wallflowers plug-ins and used a 20% off coupon on the whole thing, so it was great. There were a lot of shoppers, as I heard the gal at the door call ahead for someone to come to the door as they were going to have to start a line outside. First time I've heard that anywhere, though I've been to stores where they were counting.
I ate a quick cup of soup before I went shopping, but it didn't really do it for me, so I think I better go foraging for a snack to tide me over until suppertime.
Judy ~ I am glad you found the book. If you like it even half as much as I did it'll be a win-win!! Let me know what you think? I am starting a new one this afternoon. It finally cooled off enough for my Lands End barn jacket which was perfect for today!
BBL.
