This is a thread devoted to those in their 50s & 60s and beyond who don't have children or grandchildren but live rich, full lives. Please feel free to join our stroll thru life and come back often for support and to share. ****************************** In some countries 13 is a lucky number. I’m going with that today.

Thanks for the start, Chele. I don't know what is wrong with some people. They just seem to be on their own planet. I put Lysol wipes on the grocery list for this week and may change it to 2. Maybe I need to check my can of Barkeeper's Friend to make sure I don't need to add that to the list. After I read your post about the bowl cleaner, I went to Amazon to order 4 packages of the Scrubbing Bubbles bowl cleaner refills I use. They became really scarce in March. You did well on the chuck roasts. Will you or Iggy be making the stew when the time comes? I saw your governor on the news talking about how many counties there are level 3, which I guess that's like code red is other places? You and Iggy stay safe. Not surprised he is getting pushback. There are so many people living in an alternate reality. I've had to chase the woodpecker away from the ridge cap twice this morning. Dale wonders if there are stink bugs holed up under it and he's trying to get to them.
I'm sure the trip to the flooring place was mentally exhausting, Linda. So many choices and so much to consider. You want it to last as long as possible and you look at it every day, so you want it to be the best choice. Good that you figured out how to make the rugs work. Let us know how they do. I used to use the Armstrong floor cleaner as well and can't find it. So I guess they quit making it. Hope the light installation went well. The upper 80s sound more like your kind of weather. It may feel really warm after how cool it has been there. If you don't get around to the bread for a few days, it shouldn't make much of a difference.
Becky, did you hear that the A&M-TN game got postponed for this weekend due to Aggies with covid? I hope the Meloxicam will work for you. It definitely is cheap. I hope the IT band will loosen for you. I heard about TX being the first state to surpass a million infections. That's scary. I hope Bastro County will continue to be a safer area. We are nowhere near as bad as Nashville or Memphis, but with all the tourists, it's not that good here either.
Did your rain finally end, Kathy? We ended up getting about an inch, so not even close to what you got. I guess your heat and humidity will return today. Sorry. I agree with you about the lawsuits, but it seems to be the only thing the man knows how to do. I wish he would come to grips with it and move on.
Denise, do you have the weekend off?
It's Friday, Liz. Hope Zoe is improving and things at work aren't insane. Safe commute home and get some rest this weekend.
I heard from one of our former neighbors at the other house on FB last night and they got over 7 inches of rain. It's a mess there. I hope the people who bought the house got the chimney resealed. We are supposed to have a nice day, and after it warms a little, Arya and I may spend a little time on the deck. I cooked eggs this morning for her and a couple of extra ones for me to make tuna salad. Vacuuming is also done, as is my time on the rowing machine. Our first order from Misfits Market is supposed to arrive today, so I guess I will be getting veggies ready to cook later on. Until then, I'll rest my sore, tired body.

Karen, there are 4 levels with 4 being the highest cases. Cases in Ohio are i creasing faster than the while country and Iggy keeps talking about going to this and that store. I talked him out of going to Bed Bath and Beyond. Silly woodpecker! I hope he is not destroying anything in the house. I bet you’re glad you don’t own the house any more. 7 inches is a lot of rain. How was your time with Arya on the deck?
Linda, you are a better woman than I getting up on a ladder to hang lights. All my lights are indoors. I hope you didn’t have any trouble. I hope the ankles feel better.
Becky, I am glad your county follows the mask orders. Our state is full of idiots who think they are immune including my county.
Kathy, we are back into fall temperatures and will get into the upper twenties tonight. I know you like Jocelyn Anderson on Twitter. I think you would also like @carlbovisnature. He has absolutely fabulous nature pictures.
Liz, I hope you get out at a decent hour this afternoon.
Denise, I hope you have this weekend off.
It is going to be a cold trip to YS tomorrow. I have my hat, scarf and gloves dug out of the closet.
Have a good evening.

Chele, I like going with 13 as a lucky number. I got a grocery order today and scored 2 canisters of wipes! First time since March. The only substitution was I had to get a carton of 18 eggs instead of 12. The shopper said there were no cartons with 12! Every time there is some weird shortage. Thanks for the rec on @carlbovisnature. I went ahead and followed him.
Karen, the rain ended and the heat came right back. It was mostly overcast, so it will get even hotter when the sun comes out. I saw 87 in our forecast. Wow on the 7 inches of rain at the other house. Hope they didn't have any leaks, but I'm sure you're glad you don't have to deal with it.
Linda, that's a lot to deal with all at once! Hope everything goes well. That picture is too cute!
Becky, Eta has moved out and I didn't hear of any damage or flooding in this area. The west coast had quite a bit and it was only a tropical storm. Hope you're knees are doing okay today.
Liz, hope your workday and commutes weren't too bad. The virus numbers are getting so scary everywhere. The mother of one of my BFFs passed away on the 10th and they are have having a memorial service tomorrow. They have a huge family in the area and many friends and I'm a bit worried about them all attending. We were invited, but declined which is sad too. My DM and the friend's DM were also BFFs.

Thanks for the start Chele.I don't know if it's this way in all of TX but Travis County has 5 levels and they may be going back to stage 4 next week.Evidently TX is full of idiots also since we surpassed 1M cases.El Paso County is the worst in TX and they won't let them close down for even 2 weeks.
Linda I hope your ankle is better.
Karen They announced the cancellation of the game on the news either a day or two after you and I discussed them playing each other. At that time it was one player and one staff member. There are 4 people where Kenneth used to work that has Covid.Kenneth said he saw 3 men in HEB without masks today.I didn't see them but he stays to check out so I guess he notices it more than I do.
Kathy We have started buying 18 egg cartons. We each eat 2 scrambled eggs for breakfast every morning so at least it's lasting longer.I'm still hurting today but if I walk slower or take smaller steps I don't hurt as badly.I have been taking a walk in the morning and one in the afternoon as long as the weather stays milder like it has been.I'm sorry you can't go to the funeral.
