Good Morning Everyone~ Yesterday went okay. It actually went FAST but then I had my hair appointment at 4:30 which filled my 'after work' time. I did bring an office chair upstairs that one of the girls' had from a college apartment. It helps while working at the DR table. And yes, I did bring the screen up too - it's the one I used in my former janitor closet/bathroom office at that older building lol - now I'm still getting good use out of that investment! It's actually very nice. I had a virtual meeting with the Prince yesterday, lasted about 10 minutes, but he was super glad I pursued the remote testing - this gives him data to report. Naturally he 'doesn't have time' to read the results himself. He asked I put together a narrative summary for him! geesh - what ev er - While I was working at my DR table Carly walked by and said, "Turn around and look outside" - SNOW - WTH?? lol didn't expect to see that! It didn't stick around as it turned into rain later but still. Things in PA are becoming stricter. Restaurants and bars are ordered back down to 10% capacity. Tomorrow (Wed before TG) is traditionally a huge 'reunion' night at the bars for the college age crowd. The Gov is well aware of that and halted ALL alcohol sales at 5:00 PM Wednesday to cut this OUT. Whew. We all know that age group would have gathered despite our awful numbers. I also checked and see almost every single PA County is considered "Substantial" numbers of COVID based on their population and percentage of positive cases. By Monday every single School District in the State must sign and submit an affidavit as to what is their plan for students and why are they not REMOTE? Interesting. Sue - it looks like Cambria, Pike and I forget one other are the ONLY counties being spared right now. Stay Safe where you are at! Even my little Fulton County is marked "Substantial" despite just 23 cases in the whole county, that is 80% more than all summer for them! Their local medical centers just can't handle a huge influx especially if cases turn for the worst and they need an ICU bed. That is also what's driving this - the precaution to support our local medical teams.

Sue - WOW to Josh's public comments on his FB page aimed at YOU! I actually LAUGHED when I read he deleted your private FB message letting him know that YOU knew! And I totally agree, Josh is being disrespectful and who is he kidding? You were never supposed to cook TG dinner for him pre-COVID!!!! LOL LOL LOL Rolling my Eyes here! My question to Sarah is WHY wasn't she prepared to cook her own TG Dinner this year?? Why was she counting on YOU serving them? I know, I know, you had offered a month ago when the NC trip was cancelled, but she KNEW all year that she was supposed to find alternative plans for TG. Ha! And I am SO glad Hannah came to her senses - sounds like Jason played a hand in that too - I'm glad she realizes you have a very limited social circle outside of work and her comment about your Paint Nite was out of line! Whew. I find Sarah's pouty behavior rather humorous and yes, contradicting considering her own child was EXPOSED to COVID. I'm done ranting for YOU Your tree and lights do look soothing - ours is going up this Saturday - but first I need to figure out this TURKEY dinner project! lol Gabrielle - I did not get much of a chance to dive into our test results yet - today I have the last of the 3 hour training series on aligning our curriculum for ESL students. I also have several ERs to type. BUT at a glance, it does not appear (fingers crossed, as I know NWEA updated their Norms) our students overall had a significant regression!! Wouldn't that be something?? I'll let you know as I dig deeper.

Carole - sounds like you had plenty of time yesterday to yourself PLUS time to putter around and de-clutter what was in your way. HUGS to you as we totally 'get' what you meant about your Matthew and fighting cancer during a COVID crisis. You would have been banned from the hospitals wherever he was receiving treatments and THAT would have been a whole other battle. It is all still so hard. WOW to Kathy not insisting you all wear a mask around her! WOW! I find that rather careless and irresponsible. My hair stylist is declared cancer free (Yay) but still extremely cautious. Even her kids must wear a mask upon entering her salon. And she only has ONE customer at a time. She had a cancellation so quickly told her 2 teens to get over to the salon for their own hair cuts! LOL Her son 'forgot' his mask and she banned him from entering until the daughter drove one over. Good for Ashley - she was firm! And so mad her son could ever possibly 'forget'. What are your plans for this TUESDAY? No, I have not even tried my new Foodi - sad, I know - but I am planning tonight to roast some squash and chicken together to see how it turns out for dinner. Not what I really want, I was planning Stuffed peppers but I feel guilty not using the new Ninja Foodi that is all set up! LOL
Shelly - WAVES to you as you strive to keep your store stocked and staffed!! Yes, things are getting bad again - and yep, we are stocking up here on our paper products.
Have a great day everyone!!!

Good morning!
Thanks for starting us off this morning, Christine! Today is "Track Tuesday" and leaving in a bit to meet the smaller 5:00 am group for our run. Today I am grateful for my running group who keeps me focused on being healthy and improving my running....in spite of the many challenges of the pandemic, this has been my one constant--even when a took a break from seeing anyone (due to COVID worries) March-May. So fortunate to have the support!
It is a cold one---42 degrees (supposed to be 39 degrees where we are running) but I will be warmed up once we start running. At least it's not snowing (sorry Christine!)
Christine: So glad that you found that chair and have that other monitor---the ONE positive outcome from working in the custodial closet! I can't wait to hear how you like the Nina Foodi---you know how it is in that, once you start using it, you'll get used to it and think of more ways to use it. Yay for the preliminary test results! At my alternative school, 80% of kids saw improvement so we are finding some similar things (although we did have staff on site for half of that window of time).
Oops girls, gotta go. Today is the first of the next 6 days off, YAHOO! So, I will be back soon! Have a good start to your day!

Day 24 Gratitude: VACATION! I am grateful to not be up and getting ready for work today! We opted NOT to start baking last night. By the time Ken got home from taking Zoë back to Kathy's, then they had a quick pick up at HD, then they had to go get the fresh turkeys for the store - then they stopped and got dinner at Applebee's, they did not get home until almost 6. I had just finished all the dishes from the day of thawing/draining pie stuff... I was DONE! LOL We decided rather than start anything then, it will be easier to work "into the night" tonight! Got up about my usual time this morning - just enjoying my tree and the quiet before the day gets underway! At some point today we will have 5 adults and 2 kids here, so it will surely not be quiet as the day goes on!
Christine~ Thanks for starting us again this morning. Sorry Linds has claimed her desk, and you are stuck in the DR again! She must have "stuff" in the desk drawers and not willing to share - even though she doesn't use it? Great idea to have a room screen ~ We know the most difficult day will be Wednesday - when DH is off from work!
Aww, sorry your TG plans are changed now too - yes I do believe we all need to hunker down again! Apparently the bank has had several folks "out" and re-thinking the plan!! More on that later. Meanwhile, you are right, none of us "knows" if we are carrying anything - apparently even with a negative test you can still be spreading the virus!
Shelly!! A morning post??? LOL Just kidding - glad you had a minute to pop in. No worries hun, you deserve to be tired and fall asleep after your long hours!! Sorry the staff is still having issues... I agree, at this point we should NOT be dealing with high school like crap amongst co-workers! UGH!
Gabrielle: Oh dear... yes losing posts is so darned frustrating! So are you REALLY on vacation??? YAY!!! Time to celebrate!! I so hope you enjoy your time off!! Silly dog... wonder why he was trying to get in to you guys last night? Jealous of your mani/pedi! Tracy and I will try to get there Friday! Oh Gosh - yes, Ken was supposed to be picking up a bunch of 10-14# turkeys, but they didn't have a lot that size! Some were substituted with only 8-10# ones! Some folks will not be very happy!!
{{{thanks}}}
Oh I hope you didn't miss your intro to the meeting! LOL
Sue: I am so glad you are not letting this whole thing get you down. I mean at work - glad that you and Gloria can work together and just get it done!
UGH! OK Sorry Sarah is still holding that "grudge"... hoping she wakes up and realizes that this is not your fault! Oh dear... sorry Josh was so vocal on FB... OMG Yes, I hope you "reminded" Josh that had it not been for Covid to begin with you would be in NC this week, and NOT sharing a meal with them anyway! Oh Thank God for Hannah's calm head - letting him know her Christmas is NOT "ruined", just going to be "different" as is every other darned thing in this world right now! Gosh sorry, all I can think of right now is POOR COLTON! Between his Dad's opinion always being "right" and his Mom being - Amanda... that kid must be torn in every which way there is! Again - so happy you and Gloria are working so well together that this "blip" is just that - a blip...
{{{{{hugs}}}}} to you my friend... yes, let it go, and with each passing day Sarah too will let it go, I bet your PM to Josh certainly didn't hurt in that area - made him rethink his words?
LOL well if ever I can get a mask that doesn't fog my glasses MAYBE I will get more used to it - MAYBE! I mean I wear them, and I will wear it at my desk more, but I will NEVER "forget" I have one on!
OMG I love that Jason thought of the tree lights for you ♥ Ken set mine on a timer, so mine were on this morning too. I guess I made my desire clear enough! LOL
Oh yes, DS sent me (yet another) FB message "reminding" me about the one special order pie - with no butter, for pne of her orders! UGH We make this S/R pie EVERY DAMNED YEAR WITH NO BUTTER - but YES you should probably remind me every day!
And this is where the parents play a major role in the kids bringing the virus to school! Obviously not just Kellen & Lincoln's parents... too many still don't get it!
WOO HOO for planning on leaving on time on Wednesday! YES, Make.It.Happen.! Good luck!

Christine~ YAY for a good day yesterday, and ending your day in time for hair appointment! WOO HOO for making a space for "you" in the DR. LOL Who knew you'd get so much use out of the screen you had! Do you have a laptop? or PC?? NATURALLY The Prince has no time to read the data... no surprises there! Any way you can put something IN the narrative that makes it "yours" so when he copies and pastes the others will know this is NOT "his" presentation??? LOL
OH! I saw that on the news, that PA is shut down at 5 and wondered WTH One night was going to do! NOW I get it... Tracy and I were actually just talking about that yesterday. Wednesday and Friday around here is when they all used to gather at bars and bowling alleys... good call for PA Governor!
{{{{{hugs}}}}} to you and your family as you stay safe at this time ♥
Thank you Christine ~ for ranting FOR our Sue ♥ That's what really gets me - the fact Sarah's own son has been exposed and they still are not concerned?? I get it - he isn't "sick"... but MAN! S.M.H.!
Yes fingers crossed the remote/hybrid/lack of learning has not had a significant regression on your students!! Y'All must be doin' something right!!
Oh Christine - yesterday was a great day here! we got all the pie stuff thawed, and drained and strained and packaged to make today easier! I also got the DR picked up - extended the table - all supplies out and ready - but I just don't feel like getting started! LOL I know it will happen, ready or not, but eh... another cup of coffee for me for now!
I am concerned about Kathy as well! I'd rather she not come today - but I have a hard time telling her to stay away! LOL I am not as "firm" as your Ashley!! Oh hun, make what you want for dinner - that Foodie will still be there over the weekend for "trial and error"!

Gabrielle: YAY for the day off - and being able to go to your track group! We are at 34 now, sunrise was a beautiful pink this morning, so I think that means we have rains coming back tonight/tomorrow!
SO I got a FB message yesterday - from a co-worker, Deb... always wants to be the first with any "news"! LOL Two gals in our area out with flu-like symptoms... my question was are they really sick? Or just using up sick time?? (my boss) Josh is NOT taking this lightly... the Virus I mean - so if they called out, just to use the time, they should not say what symptoms they have! LOL Anyway, apparently in other departments as well - there have been some folks out sick... soooo.... John (Pres) was speaking during huddle about NOT taking chances and IT was working on NEW PCs for folks to resume work-from-home! No time frames (yet) but it's in the works!
I texted Crystal, and offered to be one of the work from home... she texted back, asked me to call her. So yes, she said my name was on the list to return to work from home... starting MONDAY! I will drive to work, pick up my PC (if it is ready) and return home! YAY!
Now I know it will be "difficult" at times... I remember the no printing - and issues with my internet, but I think I am better prepared this time. Last time with being sent home so shortly after losing Matthew, and the folks in the office being paid time and a half, or being home not working at all - added to my bad mood/mindset. This time I hear things are being distributed more "fairly" and I am just not in the same "not fair" mindset I was in back then. Back in March NOTHING was "fair" and I let it get to me!
I am making my list of things I need to remember to pack up to bring home with me... what I will "miss" is my standing desk and my NEW office chair. Not sure I can convince anyone to let me bring all that home! LOL
So this Friday I will start to set up my space... I am going upstairs this time. I will set up my table in the guest room - near the windows so I am in the sunshine, but not right here in the DR! I do not have a laptop, so a PC is harder to maneuver around, and with trying to decorate for Christmas and then HOST Christmas, I think upstairs is the best option this time around! Who knows, IF I hate it - I can always move back down here after Christmas? No end date has been given yet - so I am thinking we are home for most of the winter - to get through "flu" season? No one will confirm or deny... So for now, I continue my vacation - Monday I report for work, and see where we are at - at that point!
I also have to browse BF "deals" for a monitor... last time I used Matt's but Patti has since given that to Kathy, so I either have to get by with the small one the bank provides, or invest in a bigger one, to make my work a bit easier... not sure - will depend on the prices I guess!
Meanwhile - this week is all about pies, so I need to get moving here - before my help shows up and I am not even dressed yet! LOL The one good thing about this year, oldest DS cannot be HERE all day - as SHE got a new job! LOL And she will be at her house baking some pies tomorrow morning until she has to leave for deliveries! It's the little things, ya' know??
Hope you all make today a great day ♥hugs♥

Morning all
Well I got a lot done yesterday. I got the fridge cleaned out along with the freezer and lots of stuff thrown away that was outdated, got my turkey from the freezer to the fridge to thaw out. I got the bathrooms cleaned and ready. Today I will clean the oven and the draw below then go out and get the last of the stuff I need for TG dinner. I even got the coffee cups decluttered and ready to go to Goodwill. DH thinks we don't need all those cups and we definatley don't.
For some reason I've been watching the Hallmark movies at night. I can't help myself they are so good.
Christine thanks for starting us today. Sorry you have to work from home now, I know it's not as comfortable as your office but it's necessary to keep you safe. Are you and Gary and the girls staying home for TG and having a small one? I think I read that DSIL isn't having one this year and I don't blame her, it's to risky. The prince he's such a smuck, he can't even read the results on his own? Such an idiot. Our resterants are shut down for take out only right now, no sit down.
Sue I'm so sorry that Josh and Sarah are being so difficult. That's the thing about trumpers they have no respect for anyone that may think different than theirs. My personal opinion is they are bullies and only think that their way is right this is why we have such a divided nation. I think you did the right thing by calling him out on his behavior and he's being childish about the whole situation and maybe Hannah needs to lay off the sauce for a bit. Why does she only challenge you when she's been drinking? It's all going to take time to get through this Covid situation and were getting closer, but in the meantime we all need to do our part in being cautious and careful not to get it. What is so hard to understand about that.

Gabrielle I'm so happy that you have friends to run with so you can be safe in the early mornings. I saw the kids in front of their new house they must be so excited, first time home buyers YEAH!!!!! Is it just you and Ed for TG? I went to the new WW+ meeting and they are focusing on the mental health side of things. They want us to really begin to work on our WHY and giving us the tools to do it. Like mine was measuring my food instead of eyeballing my portions so we worked it out that I would remember to do it and I have all week. Someone say's it's just like what Noom does, so we will see.
Carole I'm going to make 2 pies for TG dinner. One Pecan Pie and two a Coconut Cream pie. I'm thinking maybe Kathy wants something to do and that's why she's helping to make pies so she can forget for a little while she can forget of her health situation for a little while. I'm happy to hear your going to work from home and not be around the 2 that called in with flu like symptoms, and you have a plan to do it upstairs. In March yes, you were dealing with Matthews passing and then they really didn't give anyone enough time to be prepared form Covid before shutting us all down.
OK I need to get moving for now I hope you all have a great day

Hello again...
Carole: Wow, so you are working from home? LUCKY girl!! So many things are different now (since we are in our second round)...I've noticed that grocery stores are well-stocked...people just seem calmer. I can see how it will be better for you (and also, of course, since you are in a different space that you were in last March after Matthew's passing). I really liked having a designated space to work outside of the busy-traffic area at home. Hope that you do too! And it might not hurt to ask about the choir, etc. I let our office folks take home whatever they needed to comfortably work. You don't need to develop a back problem, right? Hope that the pie assembly is going well. You have it down to a science by now! Maybe Kathy can wear a mask? Just wondering about what might make it safer for her....in the end, there is not a lot you can do I guess? Have a good day!
Jenny: Oh wow....Coconut Cream Pie is my absolute favorite pie on the planet! I only have it probably once every 5 years or so.... we are having a small group-- DH, DS21, and I for dinner. I will take a plate of food over for my mom though in the late afternoon. I am making two pies--one pumpkin and one blackberry. Who knows if it will all get eaten, but DH loves blackberry so he might eat the whole thing over a week (he eats it for breakfast!) Hope that you are doing well and enjoying your time off today!

Sue: Oh, I look forward to the day when Sarah and Josh have moved past all of this and can SEE why you are doing what you are doing. So glad that Hannah reached out--hugs to you...you know that it is for the right reasons, but it would be nice if the girls would accept it and move forward. So glad that you have Gloria at your side after all that happened with Tonya. She sounds like a fun person to work with! What a sweetie Jason is! We all knew it, but he just keeps reminding us Hope that today passes quickly and ends on a good note. By the way, I switched back to contacts due to wearing a mask and getting tired of things fogging up. I was due for new glasses anyway and decided to make the switch.
Shelly: So busy for you now! Most important though, is taking care of YOUR health. I hope that you are wearing a mask? Please do to protect yourself as well as you can. You work so hard....
Hello to all who follow. Time to feel like I got some things done around here! Work has been messaging me on Teams so I need to get off my devices so that they leave me alone See you all later!

Evening all...home and one tired pup!! Got in just before 6:00am and punched out at 4:45pm....tomorrow will be in at 6:00 again but Gloria and I both decided at 4:00pm....we are DONE!! Depending on how busy we are tomorrow we may opt for a little OT on Saturday morning but tomorrow could be slow since it's the day before the holiday! The MEAP that was to drop tomorrow, dropped today and that's why I was out a little late...I was just about finished so stayed to get that done and off my plate....also got all the orders that dropped with it done so tomorrow I start fresh with everything that came in after.....we are both in good shape with orders but there is a TON of inventory to be entered so that is what we may work on Saturday....hopefully we will hear something about the time frame for Tonya being out??? Is she being tested and hopefully tests negative so she can come back or is she just going to quarantine for 14 days?? We know nothing, guess because of HIPPA??
Christine thanks for getting us going again this morning....I was going to try but ran out of time packing lunch, etc.... Glad you first day at home went fairly well....good idea to bring up the office chair, had to be better than a dining room chair! LOL, glad you found a use for you closet/BR screen, who knew!! OMG, the Prince is useless....glad you was happy with the pushing forward with the remote testing! Glad DL didn't get to him and he then "scolded" you! Gotta take the good when you get it, right?!?!?! OH NO, not snow! Glad it didn't last long! It was cold here but no precipitation thankfully!
Yes Christine....PA is really clamping down with restrictions! Have to chuckle that Wolf is bracing for the "bar hopping" of college students by closing down alcohol sales at 5:00pm tomorrow! I know that they will likely congregate in homes but got to give Wolf credit for trying to help the issue! Yes, we had 223 new cases today in York County.....it's ugly out there! I do agree with many districts saying that as long as protocols are followed kids are masked, distanced and safer in school than at home with parents who are going "here, there and everywhere" because it's just a virus or hoax!!! Cameron, Sullivan, Wayne and Pike are the only ones NOT "substantial" at this point....I just looked since I was curious!! It's funny that on paper, your little Fulton County looks worse than mine..... Our numbers too are so much higher than they were at the highest point in the spring! At this point our hospitals are busy but not full so we are OK in that respect but not sure how it's going to be after the holidays...I know many are modifying like you and I but others are saying "WTH, it's Thanksgiving and I'm doing as I damn well please"!
Normally Christine if Sarah's gang doesn't join us in NC at David's they go to Josh's folks but in light of the fact that Josh's DS, boy friend and their 9 kids combined live there too at varying numbers...they really don't like going. Ashley's BF is a LOSER on a good day....he has 6 kids to 4 different mothers and supports NONE of them....well, he maybe supports Chloe, the baby he has with Ashley but he pays no child support for the other 5! Not sure why Jeff and Shirley continue to enable Ashley and BF to take advantage...I guess they fear for the safety of Ayden, Liam, Audrina and now Chloe. Yes, when we decided not to go to NC, Sarah, Josh AND ALL THE BOYS were excite to come to our house for TG, it really is that bad at Josh's folks, so I get it, they had hopes of a nice "normal" TG dinner.
LOL...thanks for ranting "for me"!!
My chicken (oven stuffer roaster) went in the fridge last night and I just checked it and it's rock hard...I guess it will be ready to cook by Thursday, late morning! Will check again tomorrow night and maybe set it out for a bit o help the thawing process.... Will say I'm still chuckling Christine from your DSIL's "Meals on Wheels" comment! That is too funny!
Day #24 Gratitude: GLORIA, again....yes, she today was my saving grace! The worse things got, the funnier they got and together we muddled through the mess and came out on the other side!! Today was a comedy of errors to begin with and together we managed to figure them out and get through them. Normally when Tonya goes on vacation she gets things caught up and leaves instructions for things that "MUST" be done....this time, she was just gone and we are both "flying blind"!! But together we have managed to keep everyone happy and work is moving through on time!
Gabrielle....so glad you have your "running circle" to help get you through this pandemic chaos. Glad you can warm up quickly once you get running on these cold days! WOO HOO for 6 days off now....I'm lucky to have 4 coming soon, even if I might have to work a few hours on Saturday....still a long weekend for me!

Carole....enjoy your vacation days! Glad you got to enjoy some quiet time this morning by getting up at your usual time! I have to admit, the glow of the tree is so peaceful! Sorry you will be working "late into the night" tonight but makes sense...easier to "keep the roll going" today than to start late yesterday and restart again this morning. I know today was a busy day for you!! But I also know people will be enjoying your pies on Thursday!!
This year I know turkey farms were hoping to have enough "smaller" turkeys because with COVID the people would be in smaller groups and needing the smaller size...guess they didn't figure out quite right and got them TOO small. Have to admit there is a lot of meat on a 10# turkey...they say to plan for a 1/2# per person when calculating the size of turkey you will need.....heck my 7# chicken could serve 14 so I guess we will have plenty of leftovers since it's only 2 of us!
Yes Carole....I know Sarah will "come around" and it will blow over...she has always been that way and honestly when I private message Josh, he does "rethink" what he does but remember I have to "undo" 26 years of his parents' logic and he is learning to be more "grey" in his thinking and realizing that HE is often NOT right when he speaks and comes across rude and disrespectful. He might not comment when I private message him, but the fact he takes the post off FB, I know he is "rethinking" how he comes across. He is a great dad, an loves Sarah to the moon and back...but he is a "victim" of his upbringing. Don't get me wrong, Jeff and Shirley are nice people but they are definitely "of the 'Trump-ish' mindset"....I hate to use "redneck" but that is what Trump has rallied and got all fired up. They love my daughter and their family but they are definitely "narrow thinkers"!
Oh yes...Colton is stuck between the proverbial "rock and hard place"....he is a great kid and when I can talk to him, he is actually more like Josh which IS a good thing....while Josh comes off "half cocked" when you talk to him calmly, he does "rethink" things and Colton is the same way.
Carole...I have found that the Stark masks work wonders for not making my glasses fog up....they have a little "flap" that goes under you glasses but keeps air from steaming them up! I wore them the whole time we were out and about in CT over Labor Day and I wear that one most often at work too and really have little "fogging" issues! Not sure what David wears, but he too has glasses and has no fogging issues!
LOL Carole....DON'T FORGET...NO BUTTER ON THE S/R PIE! Sorry, that reminder cracked me up, especially since it's the same every year!
WOW Carole...while I get taking the virus seriously it makes me wonder why there is a sudden "panic" regarding possible flu-like symptoms....we all know at your bank this time of year, everyone is always "sick" to use up time. Yes, returning home this time will be more prepared than last.....glad your mindset is in a better place than March. And I do hope that there is not a pay difference for "in person" vs "at home". I know at Sheridan...work is work so everyone got paid their regular rates. Yes, sounds like upstairs is a much better options with the holidays coming. Hopefully you can find a BF bargain for a bigger monitor....I know I NEED a bigger monitor these days!
OK...I'm done! Starting to feel my eyelids droop sitting here! See you all tomorrow at some point!
Waves to all I missed!
