Good morning friends. Another night of sleeping well for which I'm grateful. Cold here...it was 26 when I woke up! Brrrr.
Pam sounds like you had such a fun filled busy day. Nice that you got together to decorate the fence. I have one beautiful ornament that my dad brought back from Italy. I don't put it on the tree as I'm afraid it will break, but I do put it on display. LOL to playing crazy eights.
Today I will bite the bullet and go to both Hannaford's and Walmart. If the lots are full, we will just come home and either make due with what we have or try later on.
Other than that, no plans for us. I will bundle up and walk as at least it's not raining out there.
Waving...and will CBL. I did get more reading done and so enjoying my series.

Happy Tuesday, Ann, your Italian ornament sounds gorgeous. That must have very special meaning to you. I also have some beautiful ornaments from the Czech Republic that I display in glass bowls because they are all hand painted and so fragile. DD lived there for three years and brought them home. Pam, your beautiful village sounds right out of a Hallmark movie with such neighborly camaraderie and group decorating. That so nice. We have so much diversity in our town now that we have Kwanza, Jewish and Christian symbols all on display. It's very nice really but I do miss saying Merry Christmas without worrying- Happy Holidays doesn't cut it for me. I ordered my Christmas cards online the other day and I plan to send more than usual this year. Cards are one of my favorite parts of the holiday season and always have been. I should have a bit more time to do them this year. THe house will be cleared out and we just found out that staff will also be off from December 17-January 4. Nice extra week off. We follow a different schedule than students and faculty. THey are off till February. I went to my early AM WW today. It was an inspirational meeting and I like the folks there. One member has lost 60+ lbs since Covid started. Her husband has lost more. They have so wisely used this time to focus on health. Before COVID, they ate out every single night! Wow, what an inspiration. They are older and retired without family. She has been a repeat WWer for years and years so I related to her story. Tomorrow I will leave for the Cape at noon. I'll pick up our Thanksgiving dinners at 4 and we'll be set for the next day. What a relief and we can use the rest of the weekend for more house clearing. Little by little, we are getting there. Thank the good Lord for the whole house cleanout crew! THey are a lifesaver. I had a fun Facetime with the DGKs in CA yesterday. THey are headed to Lake Tahoe today with DD and a friend. Staying in an Air B&B and having a quiet getaway since DD has them for the whole week. . She's excited and I'm happy for them. I shipped off the cookies yesterday. A baker friend gave me a great tip for shipping them--pack them in layers of bread! I put slices in ziplock bags and smooshed them a bit and they provided great cushioning! KNock on wood they don't get crushed but they are sturdy cookies. Breakfast was two boiled eggs and some V8. Lunch will be a salad and protein. I made a tuna casserole last night. Hadn't done that in ages. Added the peas, mushroom soup and the couple tins of Tuna with some LF cheese and milk, seasonings. It was very good! Comfort food and DH brought a container for lunch. NOt sure about dinner tonight. I'll scratch around in the freezer shortly to see what i can come up with to keep it simple since we are off tomorrow. Have a great day all.

Judy I worked with a gal at City Hall that came from the Czech Republic. Actually she was born here, but her brother and parents were born there. She brought in pictures. What a beautiful country. I remember the homes being in pastel colors. That brought back a fond memory. Thank you for that. Unfortunately she married and moved to NH then NY and no clue where she is living now. We lost touch. Happy that the house cleaning is going well. Safe travels to the Cape. It's always nice when WW'ers share their success story...especially ones that you know. That's amazing that not going out to eat daily would have that much of an impact on weight loss. Not to mention the wallet LOL. Great that you got to facetime with the family. Good food choices. My breakfast was my Turkish favorite, lunch will be soup salad with lo chicken and for supper...it's a toss up. I have both chicken rice casserole and a tuna casserole all made up and ready to pop in the oven. I'll let Carl decide Will CBL

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Tuesday! We got up early this morning because DH cooks breakfast on Tuesday and he had a PCP appointment (for his Annual Wellness Exam) this morning. He has already gone. Mine is later this afternoon. I changed it when I went back to work and made it the last one of the day so I could stop there right on the way home from school. Oh well, the best laid plans and all.....
Ann ~ We had the same experience with Internet on Sunday. Unfortunately I was online with the IT guy (texting) about a download and it interrupted us getting it done. Same thing – I have no idea why! We have the same weather as it was in the low 20’s when I got up this morning. Since I remade our bed, we are both enjoying the snuggliness (is that even a word?) of it!!
Judy ~ Safe travels to you tomorrow! I’m sure you will have a wonderful Thanksgiving. We will be picking ours up tomorrow afternoon as well. We have a shelf cleared off in the garage and thankfully it is plenty cool enough to store it all outdoors. We will have so much food …..it really is a shame we can’t invite anyone to share it with us. But that would defeat the purpose of being safe at home. {{sigh}} I LOVE tuna casserole and occasionally have to make it just for the comfort food fix.
Pam ~ Your day sounded like so much fun …. Especially the 83 dg part! We are in the 40’s and predicted to stay there. Glad your DH got a good report from the HH nurse! Glad you got to enjoy time with Abby. She is quite the game player! Hope you got to enjoy a good night’s sleep.
We enjoyed our Strawberry Waffles with turkey sausage patties for supper last evening. I was hungry all day yesterday, but snacked on a banana and then red grapes in the afternoon. I have been successful in curbing my snacking in the evenings, and my scale showed a lower weight I haven't seen in quite a while this morning (like 5 months). I'm not sure what lunch will be today. Supper will be leftovers to clean out the fridge .... turkey with gravy over mashed potatoes with corn & limas. Sounds like a comfort food meal to me. Also I will probably be almost suppertime getting home from the doctor and won't want to have to fuss with it.
I have somehow acquired a case of the blues with a twinge of anxiety. I don't know when or why but it seems to be hanging on and is starting to concern me. I'm glad I'm seeing my doctor today as I will ask him about it as well. He probably is seeing a lot of this and will just reassure me that it is perfectly normal. I just don't like that feeling that tears are right behind my eyes and a sense of impending doom. I have been so careful to avoid this all these months!
Maybe I'll put on my jeans from yesterday and go for a walk and then shower and dress when I come back.
BBL. Make a great day!!

Just got back from a 1.5 invigorating walk. Real feel is 32. We were dressed for it. In a bit we'll had on out to shop. Praying it's not going to be a zoo out there! Good luck to both you and DH on your wellness exams. Happy that ours are one and done I do remember when you scheduled yours for the end of the day. Oh well...I can relate to making those kind of plans....it happens. While I was on my desktop I saw the truck for Sprectum (our cable company) doing work on one of the cable lines outside our home. So, that's more than likely why we were off line yesterday. Seems to be fine now. They looked mighty cold while out there working. It was early in the a.m. with no sun. My heart goes out to those workers dealing with 'weather'. Sue I was blue a few days last week. I am not one to feel gloom and doom, but it happens. I am just associating it with the holidays, missing those that are no longer with me and the anxiety of COVID. All those things combined with being a 'worrier' at heart all add to it. I hope talking to you PCP helps you. (((hugs))) If snuggliness is not a word, it should be Just love it and I shall be using that daily. It brought a smile to my face and I thank you for that. In fact, I thank all of you for being in my little world. It sure feels comfy/cozy coming in her each day for a chat a laugh and to be lifted up. I'm also trying very hard to curb the nighttime snacking. I find that if I eat my three snacks a day (I try to add protein to each of them) I am more satisfied. I also don't skimp on the olive oil as I find that also helps to keep me satisfied. I will sometimes add it to my veggie bean soup in the afternoon (when I remember). Love your comfort food supper. Carl decided on the chicken rice casserole. I popped that out of the freezer and it will be ready to heat and eat when we are. Well, time for me to get a move on. I've been in slo-mo mode all morning...... Will CBL

Hi All ~ I did indeed get dressed (warmly) and went for a walk. I knew it had been way too long when I picked up my iPod and the battery was dead! I had to plug it in and walk alone, but I got 'er done and I felt better afterwards.
I have had veggie/bean soup for lunch and it seems like enough. If I need a snack I'll get back into the red grapes. I did a load of laundry and dried and folded it. I had to put away the sweatshirt robe and get out a warmer one. I also boxed up my music CD's and am putting the stand out with the trash. About 5 years ago we replaced our entertainment center with a credenza with electric fireplace and I had to find somewhere to put all the CD's that had been stored in the entertainment center. I found this one online and it was cheap and right close by. DH took me to get it and I had somewhere to put my CD's. Now I only have two CD players - one in my kitchen under-the-counter radio and one in my bedroom radio. Both are from another era (obviously). I do not remember when I played a CD last other than the "Mountain Streams" one we turn on at bedtime and it plays for an hour. They don't even put them in cars any more.
I have a couple of more projects to do in my den sometime, but not today. I need to locate my certificate for the Highscope class I took as our new principal wants to establish a database of those things. I am sure it is somewhere in this room, but I have no idea where (since it isn't in my file folder). Ah, well, that's a project for another day.
I need to shower and get dressed for my appointment. I need to buy a birthday card on the way there. I plan to see VBF on Saturday when we go to WW and WI. Her birthday is coming up and since we had to cancel our plans for her big day, I might as well take her gift with me on Saturday. {{sigh}}
Bye for now ......

Yeah to getting that walk in, Sue. I felt better after coming back from mine as well.
LOL to CD's I also have quite a collection. The only ones that I will play every now and again are my relaxation CD's and Christmas music. The rest of them I should box up and donate. One of these days I'll do just that. Just not today LOL.
Nice that you are getting together with your VBF on Saturday. I'm sure she will so appreciate the gift and card.
We shopped. I am totally amazed at how clerks can work and keep their mask on all that time. Both places were crowded, but the lines went well and people stayed out of your way for which I so appreciated.
I'm just tickled pink to be home.
I've had lunch and after a few more online duties, I'm going to shut down the desktop and sit and relax.
Waving....................

Hey again all,
Sue, I think anxiety is the name of the game for so many of us now. I feel I am often on edge lately, but I know I am not alone because some of my close friends feel the same way. It's all the uncertainty and the COVID burnout and dying to live normally again. To be afraid to grocery shop is not the norm and that is how I feel lately. Hang in and I hope your doctor offers some ideas.
Off to walk the doggies.
Ann, we were lucky to spend about a month in the Czech Republic with our daughter. I absolutely loved Prague. We were all over the country, but honestly, I felt like I was in Sleeping Beauty's hometown. So gorgeous with all the spires. That was in 2009 so quite some time back now.
Hugs all. Deep breaths to all of us....:-)

Have you ever heard of a steam oven? One of the WW members today swears by it. It sounds interesting but I don't need any more gadgets now! lol Hers is a countertop oven. New gadget to me. This was the member who lost so much weight during Covid.

Prague is where Olga's family lived before moving to the states. The pictures, I'm sure, didn't do it justice. Such a beautiful place. So happy you got to spend some time there. You have all your memories of a wonderful country. Nope never heard of that gadget. Like you, I have all the gadgets that I need. One thing that I use all the time beside my IP and air fryer is the pizza pizzazz oven by Presto. We love that. Cooks frozen pizzas great as well as crisping up the bottom of pizzas that you 'bring home' or have delivered. I'm all about the crust LOL...you can also do appetizers on it. I am exhausted so going to shut down now. Thought I already had LOL....shows ya where my head it these days Sweet dreams

Just a quick post to say all is well. I had a busy day trying to fit household chores in between games of Old Maids, Crazy Eights, Sorry and Chutes and Ladders. DH and I are so thankful that Abby loves to come and stay with us. She keeps us quite entertained. We went through her entire Amazon Christmas list and she explained each item in detail, lol. After I took her home late this afternoon, DH and I decided which things we would give her for her birthday Dec. 13 and for Christmas.
I learned DD3's SIL and BIL who were raising such a ruckus recently about not being invited over, even though they were both engaging in some risky behaviors, both have CV. They seem to be getting better quickly, thank goodness.
I am jammified and going to read a bit before bed. DH has already turned in. We have a big day of cooking and cleaning tomorrow and DD2 plans to come and sleep over and we'll play Mexican Train Dominoes. Sweet dreams!
