Happy Day All!
Yesterday was an easy one – ate leftovers, got a pedicure, and took the dead hanging plants down and put up the birdfeeders. No birds yet, but they’ll get here. Hardest thing I did all day was make sausage gravy and biscuits for breakfast. Had Costco’s Vegetable Barley soup for supper, and made hoe cakes – so good! Made enough to freeze.
Today is laundry and a quick visit to a neighbor whose birthday is tomorrow. They’re going to Atlanta for the day on Sunday, so will have a little together time today. Another neighbor and I will take some snacks, and I have a little gift for her. It’s a solar light in the shape of a watering can. Pretty.
This afternoon my school friends (Hot Flash Follies) are all meeting for a zoom session. Well, four of us are, I think. One is very technically challenged, so I may call her DD and see if she’ll go help her.
Had a sinus-draining kind of night all night. Slept a bit in bed, the recliner, my chair in the bedroom and finally back in bed. Sheesh! So, this will be it for today. Wrote the first part last night before I went to bed. Please have a good day and take care. Cheers!

Morning All!
Busy day yesterday, nails done, picked up new car (which I love, BTW), came home and promptly got so sick to my stomach. I don’t know if it was a reaction to the meds they gave me in the ER or what, but stomach upset got really, really, hang on to the walls kind of bad. Crawled into bed, warm puppy by my side – made many trips to the bathroom. This morning I feel like I just might live, so hoping the worst is passed. I’m slowly sipping green tea with pomegranate – feels good.
Penny since you changed your avatar, thought I would add one of my own. That little girl's smile hasn’t changed one bit over the years. Looks just like you!
Connie I’m getting worried about you – hope you are doing better today. I know we all know our own bodies, but you’ve been sick now for a prolonged period of time – so maybe it’s time to get checked out, or at least give the primary a call….. Please take care of yourself.
Phyl the puppy visit sounded like a lot of fun! Mocha is a pretty name. Wishing the pup and its new parents a lot of love and good health!
Not much going on today. I have to make a run to CVS to pick up my renewals that are ready and then may stop at the veggie store for a small shop of fruits and stuff that I’m out of. Normally would do that early next week, but they are predicting heavy rains for Monday and Tuesday, and I haven’t read the manuals yet on the new car – have to find out where all the buttons are. Wednesday I’m going to the hospital for a stress test and 2 other cardiac tests (I can’t remember the names – nor do I want to). So the weeks not looking to be too upbeat and fun…
Hope everyone is well, hunkering down and enjoys whatever their plans for the weekend.
Take care and find some joy!
Dayle

Good morning. Dayle, glad you like your new car. What kind is it? So sorry that you're having stomach problems. Sounds like a med problem but wouldn't hurt to get it checked out.
Connie, same advice to you. Need to get checked out.
Just got back from walking Ozzie. Such a nice day I'm hoping to get some straightening up done in the garage. Still have my fall decorations sitting in a box and the grill is kind of in the way.
Have a question for you. Our DGS has parked his boat in our garage ever since he got it. We only have one car and the garage is pretty big. This has been free storage. However, he has a good job now and is pretty free with spending his money. Lives with his parents so no expenses there. Now he's thinking of buying a house. Would it be out of line for us to ask for a small amount monthly for garage space?
Yesterday we went for a ride. Stopped at our favorite meat place and boy have the prices ever went up. Picked up a few things but will have to start watching the sales to keep our freezer stocked. Strange what things aren't available here. We live quite close to a couple big grocery stores and haven't been able to find chicken gumbo soup, great northern beans, tater tots and some cleaning supplies. Stopped at the store in our old home town and got all of those things for less money that the big stores. Go figure.
Lin, to respond to your Christmas movie question from yesterday. I'm not a fan of many Christmas movies. Watched all the animated ones with the kids for years. Last night we watched Christmas Vacation with Chevy Chase. Lots of slap stick comedy.
Phyl, like the name Olive. Miniature pinschers are such cute dogs. Hope they enjoy her.
Got my sheets ready to come out of the dryer. bettyj

Good morning everyone,
Woke up at 8am this morning. Felt good to sleep in.
Today will be a high of 73. It’s very sunny out there right now. Never did do gardening yesterday. Will try and get out there today. It’s a extra step day today.
Still playing the Township game. I recommend it. Definitely a mind sidetrack from all the negativity out there.
Weighed myself this morning. I have lost .6 so far this week. Shocked I would lose weight through Thanksgiving. This is a first. Lol. Maybe moving around more is helping.
Penny- I think the drawing of sinus might help it to go away. Maybe use your netti pot.
Dayle- did the doctor say why you have a upset stomach? Glad you like your new car. Sounds great.
Connie- sounds like you might need meds to get over it. Hopefully today is better
Phyl- Hope back is better today. Glad hip is doing ok.
Lin- I think Chevy Chase Christmas Vacation movie is my favorite. Yesterday we watched The Christmas Chronicles with Goldie Hawn and Kert Russell. Was good. Always enjoy the Hallmark Christmas movies.

I am much better today. No drainage and blowing nose drinking lots of water and hot tea , all kinds. I have not been sick for long I did take some time off the board but this just started thanksgiving eve. Think a lot of it was dust from doing flooring and taking up old carpet. Sinus acting up again. This year has been worse than usual But now my computer has died. I have checked everything I can think of. Printer on power strip and it’s working cable etc all on and working good. So I am on my IPad. Little harder and I’m slower but sure I will get faster. Did text DD to see if there is anything else I can check. Think DGGD and Elias left this morning so imagine DD is in a funk. Did tell her in my text was fine with IPad. May not be the complete truth but maybe this will be a good time to get new computer.
Will see what she says when she gets back to me
Sandy enjoyed your description of DDs house. Sounds like a fun project for them.
Dayle oh gosh that tummy thing Sure does not sound like fun. Sure hope okay today. Glad you got home first

Well...forget the question about my DGS and charging him for the boat..He stopped this afternoon with an early Christmas present. A Kitchen Aid stand mixer. I had one that we had gotten for a wedding present (1964) that died of old age this year. What a nice present.

Marilyn, loved the Township game but quit because I have no will power and was spending too much money on it. When I start spending too much on them - I pull the plug...... Its a great game though! Enjoy!

Betty - nice gift.
Dayle - I love the game. I never spend real money on games. Seems to be ok without buying anything. I am not in a hurry and wait the allotted time.
Cleaned our bedroom. Will clean bathrooms in a few minutes.
