Good morning friends. Woke up feeling refreshed. Decided to 'put off' Walmart shopping until Monday (if it doesn't rain) or Tuesday. I can make due with what we have for safety's sake.
A colder morning...frost is everywhere and temperature is 25! Hopefully it warms up to make walking enjoyable.

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Sunday!! I also slept very well last night. I love the 'weight' (or lack thereof) of my Christmas comforter, so it was a welcome change. I went to bed at 10 and slept through until 7:30 this morning - so it was a nice long night's sleep for me. This morning I had a fruit bowl of strawberries, pineapple and blueberries with a HB egg for breakfast.
I noticed that at my last post yesterday I was going to go read, which I never did. I got on the computer and answered some emails and checked on some things. Then I started messing around with my pot of turkey bone broth (which I still need to taste) and set it outside and cleaned up the mess from that. Also DH brought up the Christmas tree and set it up and plugged it in. All it needs now is decorations, and I think I'm done!
Our second Thanksgiving dinner was delicious last night. We have just enough of everything (including gravy) for another meal. I packaged each side in plasticware and then slipped them inside a thick plastic bag and tied it shut. It is stacked in the downstairs freezer for future us. We also have half of a pumpkin pie, so I separated it into four slices (so it won't freeze together) and snapped the top on it and put it in the freezer. That will be a welcome treat another day.
The plan right now is that DH will bring home Cobb salads for lunch and then we'll make turkey sandwiches for supper. If the turkey bone broth is good, I may heat up a bit of it with some noodles in it. I would love to add them now, but I remember that they don't freeze well. So I'll switch it up a bit and make it work. If the bone broth is not good, I'll just pour it out. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
Ann ~ I am sorry about your cold. We have beautiful sunshine today and a predicted high of 51 - so I MUST get out there! I feel so much better when I walk! I'm with you in putting off things that can wait.
Judy ~ SO happy to hear this morning that you and DH got back on the same page. Oftentimes it is better to remember our priorities. It sounds like you got a lot done in the basement. What a great idea to color code tape!
Pam ~ I could absolutely hear the excitement in your voice when describing your day yesterday. I just know you had a fabulous time. Looking forward to those emails.
I need to check on that soup and then get dressed and perhaps start the Christmas tree. My ornaments are stored in clear plastic containers (that I bought years ago) and DH brought them all up and they are sitting in my living room. I do look forward to doing this. I have about twice the number of ornaments that I need for our 6' tree, so I can change up the color scheme yearly. I have sets of red & green & gold & white plus some combinations. Then there are the little gold snowflakes, white icicles and red/green/white candy canes. I really DO have too much fun with this!!
BBL. Make a great day!!

LOL Sue....I enjoy decorating as well...I'm just not good at it. I have fun with it however it never comes out quite the way I picture it in my minds eye. TG I have Carl that straightens things out LOL. I did get in two short walks so far. Sitting on 2.5 miles. The first one was cut short as miss LuLa wasn't quite 'ready' to walk or 'go'......the second walks was productive It's warming up nicely and we are also supposed to have temps in the 50's. If that happens, I will so enjoy another walk later on. I've already done laundry and now I'm just washing LuLa's blankets! I've also separated the turkey and it's all sealed labeled and in the freezer. Also have the rest of the pumpkin pie frozen for another time. It's far too tempting sitting in the fridge. I have a habit of taking a little sliver LOL...... I bet your bone broth will be tasty. Going to sit and read for a bit while the washer is still on. When her blankets are dry I'll 'make up' her section of the sectional. She's not too spoiled LOL. Waving...and will CBL

Happy Sunday,
it’s another really nice day here and about 55 degrees. It’s funny, Ann, that in the same smallish state of MA, we have such differences in temperature! It never was too cold here. I think the Cape is much milder overall and the ocean keeps it that way.
I just returned from a Stop and Shop grocery run. We’ve had too many takeout meals lately with scallops last night and pizza Friday so pushing reset today with WW friendly stuff. We did have sushi for lunch and I’m making meat sauce and pasta for dinner with salad. I picked up a beautiful angus roast that was on a great sale this week and I’ll roast it or use the crockpot later with carrots and onions and baby potatoes. Also, I scored big time at the gas pump and filled my entire 17 gallon tank for $11! 66 cents a gallon and something I haven’t seen in decades!
The builder was in the driveway chatting with Steve when I got home. It seems they are on the same page with the septic. Good grief! I guess I overreacted but in any case, all is well. I feel so much better. My anxiety and worrisome ways can eat up precious time sometimes.
Enjoy the day and I’m looking forward to seeing Pam’s pictures!

Oh, Sue ...I ordered a heated mattress pad! I think it will be so much nicer than an electric blanket- feeling the heat in our backs will be great.
Ann, I’m excited to get my new face cream!
also, some of my early Amazon shopping was off the mark. DDwanted a rug shampooed and I got her a wooden floor steamer. Oh well, she can return it easily enough. And, she sent videos if the kids enjoying the cookies I made them. Funny pictures of the little guy!

Well I took full advantage of our 50's weather and sunshine. Tomorrow 'they say' rain all day long. Not looking forward to that at all. I find rain extremely depressing...I'd much rather snow!
I wish I could use flannel sheets or heated mattress pad or electric blanket. You are talking to someone that 'flashes' to the point of going into our screen room barefoot at times in the winter!!!! All I can say is poor Carl......however he is used to me and keeps himself warm with a sweatshirt LOL.
So very happy to hear that all is well with the septic!
You really did some great online shopping. Carl and I only buy for one another, and our biggie gift was paying off the car loan. Last year it was our smart tv. There will be just 'little things' under the tree for us to open.
I hope you like your face cream. Which one did you end up getting?
Well, time for me to shut down and relax. Going to read a bit and perhaps finish this book up. That way I can start #4 in the series LOL.
Sweet dreams...................

We had a wonderfully relaxing day here. DH and I watched two Christmas movies on ION back-to-back this afternoon and I decorated the tree during commercials. He brought home Cobb salads for lunch and they were delicious! I never got back to my bone broth which is outside staying cold in the garage, but I'll do it tomorrow morning.
It was a wonderfully relaxing afternoon and I feel like I could be ready for bed if it wasn't so early!! <LOL>
Good night, all - - - and sweet dreams!!

Good Evening!
I know you have probably all gone to bed by now, but I figure you'll just read this in the morning. I had a quiet Sunday. The weather was awful all last night and rained all morning, too. I splashed out to Mass and sang in the choir with 4 others. I was happy to see everyone properly masked except while singing. Our director told us that there will be 4 Christmas Masses so that there won't be so many people in church at one time and she will ask for volunteers to sing at each one.
After breakfast of scrambled eggs with turkey crumbles and toast, I settled into the lazy boy with the intention of playing a little WWF, reading the Sunday paper and posting here. DH, however, decided it was a good time to take all the papers out of the safe and sort through them and everything in our "paper drawer" where we keep tax returns, bank statements and medical EOBs. I sighed, but got busy. When we finished, all was neat and tidy and we had a foot and a half stack of papers which DH burned in the fireplace. By then, it was lunchtime, so I make a turkey sandwich, warmed a little cornbread dressing and had a banana for dessert. Then I fell fast asleep in my chair and had a good nap, which I haven't done in a while. I woke when Debbie texted to see if I wanted to walk. I checked the weather app and it looked like all the rain had passed, so we headed out. It was cool and is supposed to get much cooler. By the time we split up and I headed home, it was misting rain again. I had on a light sweatshirt, so just pulled up the hood and was fine, if a little damp, when I got home.
DH made a fettuccine with leftover turkey meat, penne pasta, peas, carrots and cauliflower. It was delicious and we have enough for another meal.
I spent some time cleaning out my old email account. I keep it open and use it when stores want an email address, so it gets bombarded with all the advertising rather than my main email account. I was pleasantly surprised to find and email from DSIL in MI from May, which had several pics he had taken of the girls. I am sure DD got mixed up when she gave him the address, lol.
Tomorrow after our walk, HH will be here and then I will get laundry going and finally get that turkey sausage gumbo made. Our high tomorrow is supposed to be 50 with frost tomorrow night. DH and I will need to make a trip to the camp soon to winterize the water pump and change from AC to heat so we don't get frozen pipes. We are still waiting to hear from the insurance company.
Ann- I am with you on the hot flashes at night. I sleep year-round with a sheet and a light down alternative blanket. Even on the coldest nights, if I pull up the bedspread, I will soon kick it back off, lol. We usually set the thermostat at 65 at night, whether heating or cooling.
Sue - Your day sounded wonderful--Christmas movies, decorating and relaxing. My tree decorations are antiques from our childhoods, ones I have purchased on our vacations, ones the kids had as children and ones I have given the grandkids. They always look for their special ones. I have their names and the year one each one. When they are grown and have their own Christmas trees I will give them their ornaments to keep, just as my mom did for me.
Judy - Your mixup with the floor steamer vs rug shampooer sounds like something I would do. As you said, easy to remedy. I know you enjoyed the videos of the kiddos with the cookies! Glad things with the builder smoothed out. I am with you on reining in the eating. We have finished most of the high calorie Thanksgiving leftovers and will turn the remainder into more point-friendly dishes.
Simon and Schuster posted several lists of "best" books for 2020 and I noted several I want to read. Then I found a similar list from Thrift Books. I have pledged to myself to spend less time online and more time reading. I am finding that the less I read on fb and the news, the less stressed I am, so it will be a win-win. Sweet dreams!
