This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning friends! Sending out positive Monday vibes to everyone.
It's cold here this morning, it rained off and on all day yesterday and all through the night. They're calling for snow showers this afternoon as the temperature continues to drop and and the wet stuff continues to move through. Tomorrow and Wednesday look to be dry, sunny and cold so I think we'll shoot for tree hunting on one of those days (as long as my back continues to improve).
Mark did bring in the décor totes yesterday. I've got the front door hanger and lighted plantar trees on the porch and the stockings are hung on the mantle. So far that's about it. Oh...I am enjoying my morning coffee out of my snowman mug. Lol.
I still need to go back and get caught up with everyone. Sorry I've been such a slacker in that area these last few days. Know that I'm thinking of you all and wishing the best for each of you special ladies.
Okay, coffee calls. BBL & Happy Monday! Stay warm and stay safe!

Good morning, Lora, sounds like you are slowly getting everything done. It is so aggravating to be slowed down by the tweaked back, I know. We are getting the rain today, and a big drop in temps this week.
Susie, I hope you enjoyed your exercise class. I'm glad that DH is still able to do his training and fitness stuff, too. I agree with the light situation...every few years I buy new ones because they are so cheap, and I find it such a hassle to figure out the burned out ones. One year we got all white lights for a change, and I really liked that.
I think YDD is coming over today to look through the Christmas stuff. ODD called me yesterday and said she was here for a couple of hours letting her dog play with mine, and looking through all the stuff. She brought back lots of memories of busting out all the boxes and how excited they would get every year. She found a few things of my mom's and some special ones that she loved from our collection. I'm so happy to pass them on...
I don't remember if I mentioned getting Mom's car up and running back in September. I was keeping it for a second car to use when someone had an issue with their car, and I was driving it to work a couple of days a week. It was such a great car with low mileage and immaculate inside and out. I spent about $2000. getting it worked on, inspected, registered and tagged, and ODD borrowed it to use while she saved money to do major repairs on her car. Welllllll....long story short, a couple of weeks ago, she had it parked in front of her house and in the middle of the night, someone stole a car and went joy riding, and plowed into the car going about 50 miles an hour. Of course, they ran, but the owner's name and insurance info were in the car, so I made a claim under his insurance. He took full responsibility (it was his ex-girlfriend who stole the car), and this morning I am going to go to the impound lot and clean everything out of the car that is still in there. It is totaled and the insurance company is going to pay me for the value of the car. It is probably more than I would have asked for if I sold it, and it will well cover the money I spent on it, but geez, we really needed that car for a while. I am a little sad because it almost feels like another good-bye...it sounds weird, but I am dreading walking away after I am done this morning. No other plans for today. I'm a little tired....we didn't run anything until about 4:00 yesterday, and then it got really busy. I got home a little later than usual but not bad. I am going to finish my coffee, and get ready to go so I can be back when YDD gets here. I hope everyone has a good start to the week. I'll bbl. Waving to all to follow,
RobinMD

Good morning everyone. I hope everyone had a great weekend.
Susie enjoy your exercise class.
Jill thanks for posting the pictures of your DS on FB. How fun to be able to see him on TV and what great adventures for him!
Janet so sorry to hear about your co-worker that is so sad.
RobinMD saw the pictures on FB of your pool house. It turned out great.
Lora so happy that the visit with DD, DSIL and pup was a good one! If you get the snow flurries I hope you are able to stay in today and stay warm. Glad that Mark got your decorations out for you.
For all that asked, I do believe that my Pop enjoyed seeing family and his sisters. He actually even went down to where he has an old camper on some land there. They had not taken care of the camper in years so it is beyond repair at this point but he went in and found the old hammock and it was in good shape so he grabbed it for me. He knows my love of hanging out in the hammock. I believe that we are probably past hammock weather though. Maybe I could get inside a sleeping bag in the hammock LOL.

Oh RobinMD how horrible about the car. It is nice you are getting more than what you have asked for if selling it but still. I am glad no one was hurt.

Well, it's snowing here. I don't think anything is going to stick, but it's coming down. I love the sound when it snows. It always seems to be perfectly silent except for the little ssssssssssss noise of the little flacks hitting leaves or whatever.

Lora - snowing??!!
Robin - nice that the girls are looking through the Christmas things. Oh man, sorry about the car-- glad no one was hurt and the insurance info was in it. I remember selling DM's car... I think it had a dent in every corner because she really should not have been driving. DS got it fixed up and I was just happy when he got it sold. However, you have been driving your DM's car, so it will be harder for you to see it go.
Jana - well, at least you will have the hammock for next year...glad Pops had a good time - I know that makes you feel good too.
OK...off to read.

Hello again,
Jana, I'm glad your DF had a good visit, and went to see his old camper. Maybe in better weather, you can hang the second hammock in a different area, so you will have lounging choices!
Lora, I am with you...I love the quietness of falling snow! I really like to go out and be in it when it is falling. I bet that will really add to the Christmas spirit of things, too!
Susie, YDD came by and we went through the boxes together. It was fun to see her happiness at some of the things we pulled out of the box. She took some of Mom's things, too, and it was fun for me to see some REALLY old ornaments that she still had from my childhood.
I did go clean out Mom's car and next week I will take the tags to the DMV and turn them in. Then I can cancel my insurance on it, and that will be another expense I won't be making. I was able to do a little cyber Monday shopping and picked up a couple of little gifts. I also got myself an air fryer....it was super cheap and I've been wanting one. Merry Christmas to me! I need to find something for ODD and something for a Christmas gift for work. Maybe next weekend I'll go to the little gift store here in town and see what they have. I'm going to get something ready for dinner, and see what I might take for lunch tomorrow. I hope everyone had a good day, and I'll be back in the next day or so. Hopefully tomorrow will go smoothly. It is my long day, and it really drags on.... Waving to all,
RobinMD

Good evening, Lora...snow! Wow. It's supposed to dip into the 30s here tomorrow, but right now I am cooooold enough at 59 degrees! Glad to hear your back is still improving. I think hanging stockings is the right amount of weight for the back right now. ❤️ Susie, brrr... glad class is indoor! It seems like good cozy up to a good book weather there. RobinMD, that's a shame about the car. Glad insurance will cover it, but it seemed like a good plan to have the extra one around. How fun that the Christmas stuff will be alive again in your DDs home. Fun! Jana, how fun for Pops to visit his camper. I am sure there are fun memories for him connected to the camper. How thoughtful of him thinking of you and the hammock. Today we didn't have internet again. I was able to do some stuff with my hotspot, but no virtual students today. They had work to do through Google Classroom, so I am sure they were fine. I hear we will have it tomorrow. Nothing new tonight. I have schoolwork, then I'll go to bed, I am beat. Waving hi to all!
