Good morning all. Slept well, woke up refreshed and hope y'all did also. I am so looking forward to getting my hair cut/colored. A friend of mine suggested that I ask my stylist if she could recommend a nail tech. I'll give it a shot. I never got a call back from the gal that I called here in town. My guess is that due to covid, nobody is taking new clients.
I also found out that a gal that lives in our community has breast cancer. She had it removed along with lymph nodes and is now going through radiation at the same facility that I went to. Please keep Terry in your prayers.
While I'm at the salon, Carl offered to get the groceries that we need at Hannaford. He's a keeper for sure
Pam that is very unprofessional to NOT say why the doctor was being detained. I don't blame you for walking out. Hopefully someone from the office will reach out to your DH.
LOL on hating mushrooms. I add them to pretty near everything these days. Seeing as I'm vitamin D deficient, this little gem helps along with the supplement.
Again, good job keeping up on the walking. Awesome that you were able to get all on your list with curbside from two places. Your meals sound delicious.
Waving...and will CBL. As always prayers continue!

Sue our weather is cold and sunny. I will walk again but will make sure I'm bundled up.
My hair cut/color came out well. I asked Sherry if she knew of a nail tech in the area and she only knows of Gladys. I shall continue to try and hunt one down. Not the end of the world either way......
While I was at the salon, Carl not only shopped but put it all away! He is a godsend.
Time for a coffee...will CBL

Hi all,
I've had another hectic day so far with work and then dealing with the bank, insurance companies, utilities, etc., etc. The list is never-ending and I feel like my head spins. I have lists galore. This will calm down quickly once the closing happens which should be by the end of December but until then, it is loads of phone calls and scheduling.
DD asked if we could help out with stocking stuffers for the kids - she is out straight and it's something I'm thrilled to do. LOL The little guy wanted a tool belt with tools and Sophie some play makeup. Thank you Amazon as they are on their way!
D&D and I went for a nice walk this morning in the sun. THe heat is on the fritz here again so it is very nippy in the house at night. Two little space heaters aren't cutting it. One works well in the bedroom and gets it toasty. It's only a few more days overall so I will survive without a plumber. I continue to pack boxes and size up furnishings and stuff labeling with the blue tape if we want to keep them. I am trying so hard to let go of extra small appliances, etc. After all, I have a houseful at home, too! If I don't let them go now, I will be stuck trying to unload them later. Someone can use them all. Toasters, toaster ovens, crockpots, food processor, blenders, mixers and hand mixers...you name it. I feel badly letting them go, but I don't need two or three sets of everything. Ann, I need to channel you! lol
I finished my good book The Color of Water and I am reading a Barbara Freethy one - per all of your recommendations. I needed this escape. It's called Suddenly One Summer. Have you read it, Ann?
I need more boxes but I don't want to go to HD or Walmart. I avoid the stores like the plague. Ann, I am glad Carl did your shopping for you. COVID is on such a big rise again. Ugh. Glad you got your hair cut and colored, Ann.
Breakfast was two eggs and lunch was a salad with chicken breast on top. I am trying hard to cut some carbs because my weight is headed in the wrong direction. Dinner will be a bowl of chili.

Hi All ~ Ann ~ You are one lucky gal!! A fresh "do" and groceries bought AND PUT AWAY! I headed out to Costco and Meijer after our morning meeting on Zoom. I was gone about two hours, but did very well. When I got home it took the better part of another hour to put everything away and reorganize the downstairs pantry shelves. I had a gadzillion things to take down the stairs and put away. So when I read your post I was understandably jealous!! My feet feel like I've walked a dozen miles today between shopping and putting away and cleaning up the kitchen, so the chances are very slim that I will bundle up and go for a walk today. This morning we had poached eggs (with grits for me) for breakfast with a fresh fruit bowl. DH absolutely LOVES poached eggs, so I try to remember to put them in the rotation. I goth home late for lunch, so enjoyed a light cheese stick with a slice of Seeduction bread and a bowl of chilled red grapes. It was perfect! I am understandably tired this afternoon and think I will go finish my book. It says I only have about 20 minutes left, but I was too sleepy last night to make myself stay up and read. We did watch the NBC Christmas Special and then half of the Rockettes Special. All in all a great evening. Later .....

Hi Judy ~
Apparently I was writing my post while you were. I started writing then took a phone call and time got away from me. Oh my, I can so understand your dilemma with getting rid of 'stuff'. We had that problem (on a much smaller scale) when we got married and merged two households. Then when we moved to the condo, DH was helping me remember not to pack things I hadn't used in years. I am always afraid I will need it (or at least want it) later on and be sorry it is gone. But, oddly enough, that has never happened!! I don't envy you that mad whirlwind of keeping track of all your lists - but it is the only way to do it! Remember you're in our thoughts and prayers!! YOU GOT THIS!!
Time to go finish my book .....

Judy I don't blame you for not wanting gadgets in triplicate....yup just picture me beside you. My friend just moved into a smaller elderly high rise apartment complex in Holden and is going through the same thing....she packed a few boxes and her DH brought them to Saver's LOL...she is thanking me She has called me the 'heave queen' for a good many years LOL. Judy I have not read that one..it's #1 in a series if I'm not mistaken. I think it has the world 'angel' in it LOL......but don't quote me. I hope you enjoy it. I find her writing very easy and light. And these days I need both easy and light! Yes I'm also happy to have my hair cut/colored. At least I look 'normal' LOL. My hair has a mind of its own and grows in thickness not length! I cringe whenever I open the Telegram via online and read about the rising numbers.....I just pray that the vaccine works and gets us back to our OLD normal. I'm so over this NEW normal which to me is nothing more than a royal PITA!!!!! I also avoid places unless I absolutely HAVE to go. Sue I so appreciated Carl not only shopping but putting it all away. I am also going to sit and concentrate on finishing the rest of the book I'm reading. Then, as I said before I'll have to wait till June 2021 to get to 5th edition LOL. By then I'll have forgotten all that I read, but that's okay too. I so enjoy her. Going to sit and relax before supper. Sweet dreams all........... Pam, I hope that doctor's office got back to you and DH.
