Seven Habits for Highly Healthy Holidayswww.orthocarolina.com/media/seven-habits-for-highly-healthy-holidaysThe holiday season is upon us. It’s the time of the year to enjoy celebrating and spending time with family and friends; however, for many, it’s also the time of the year that disrupts schedules and interrupts progress with health goals. Inevitably, it seems, goals and progress are placed on hold until it’s time for New Year’s resolutions, and unfortunately, research shows that those resolutions are rarely reached. This year, make a change by following these seven simple habits for healthy holidays:
Habit Four – Challenge Yourself
During what is a busy, sometimes stressful time, the temptation is to revert to the mindset of “after the holidays” regarding health goals and progress; however, a simple strategy to stay on track throughout the season is to set a specific goal. For example, scheduling to run a 5K right in the middle of the season can ensure that the workout routine remains consistent. Or, setting a goal to eat at least five servings of vegetables and fruit each day can ensure healthier food choices throughout the season.
Comment, if you want to Commit to a challenge, if you want to Hope you have a good week

Thanks for posting these cathygeha, I may not always get a chance to respond but I always read them. I'm challenging myself to grab an apple instead of junk when I stress eat.

cathygeha, I'm with Deb - I appreciate them even if I don't regularly respond. I agree with the thinking, "after the holidays" can have big consequences. My doc told me the average person can gain as much as 10 lbs over the holidays. I like the goal of getting five F/V in everyday. Even though iTrackBites has the GHG boxes to tick, I can still do better. Four has been my norm lately so I could definitely do better. Thanks Cathy.

DebDoesWW, I do the free version of ITB so don't have the Keto or WW Blue option but don't miss it. I never did Points Plus and trying that version didn't work for me so stuck with Conquer Cravings for Core or old WW Points/Bites counting. I had not downloaded it till this year and have tracked every day since I downloaded.
