Good morning friends. I slept well and woke up refreshed. I must say, the snow surely does look pretty. Not sure what's on the agenda today. WEather is going to level out at 36...above freezing so that's a good thing. When Carl goes out to take miss LuLa he will let me know if it's okay for me to walk. He knows what a klutz I am LOL.
Tonight we will most definitely have that pot roast with veggies. Looking forward to it.
Waving....and will CBL

Back again. My day is all planned and tracked. I had oatmeal with applesauce and walnuts for breakfast, lunch shall be a tomato and cucumber salad with cheese and a bowl of veggie bean soup and pot roast with veggies for supper. Our neighbor brought over hot from the oven peanut butter cookies. I enjoyed ONE and will leave the rest along That's the plan, anyway, I decided to not walk outdoors today as it's quite icy out there. Also putting off Walmart. Carl has a consult with a surgeon tomorrow for a fatty tumor on his shoulder and some sort of lump on his leg. It's right near the Walmart out there, so he offered to pick up what we needed. Today I shall spend reading and just enjoying looking at the snow and sunshine from my window It's much warmer and safer this way. Waving................wishing all a wonderful and OP Sunday!

Good Afternoon, WW Friends ~
Happy Sunday!! We woke to quite a frosty morning, so I haven't been outdoors at all. DH went out and ran his errands and then came back home. We talked about lunch but nothing that will survive white styrofoam (as a carry out) sounded good, so we decided to do it at home. We made ham & swiss cheese sandwiches on Arnold's Sandwich Thins and a cup of Green Split Pea Soup. It did the trick. I had had cantaloupe for breakfast with coffee - and we will finish the Venison Chili Mac for supper tonight.
We had our Thanksgiving leftovers (dinner #3) last night and it was absolutely delicious! I had packaged everything in separate plastic containers with snap-on lids then placed them in plastic bags and tied them shut. The food kept extremely well. We enjoyed every morsel and have only some stuffing left. I am planning to make a Turkey Bake casserole soon and use that on top of it and bake it. Our pumpkin pie was our evening snack and there are two pieces left for another treat.
I received the renewal form for my driver's license today and though they now take appointments online, they really make it difficult and inconvenient for some of us. I have to call between certain hours on the day prior (split morning and afternoon). Geez ..... it was looking so simple until I actually tried to do it. Oh well, another day .....
Ann ~ Glad you are enjoying your beautiful snow! How much did you actually get?? Glad you are staying indoors as when it's slippery it is my least favorite time!! How is Miss LuLa?
Judy ~ I actually found the Comcast movies. There is a banner that pops up when I scroll through the guide, and I honestly NEVER read it! When I clicked on it, it took me to On Demand and showed me holiday movies. We watched one on network TV last night called "My Santa" and it was cute. It filled the time until bedtime.
Pam ~ Glad your DGS got to satisfy his commitment (and his friend). I am sure they were grateful!!
Today will be a quiet day around here. DH is watching football, and I am reading (so doesn't get much better).
BBL. Make a great day!!

Sue your meals sound wonderful. I'm all for making and eating our own dishes.
We got 4" of very wet heavy snow. Carl was exhausted out there. He does 6 of our neighbors plus our driveway and a path for miss LuLa lol.
My friend that lives closer to Worcester which is where I grew up got 12.5"! I guess we lucked out.
I never mind snow especially now being retired and not having to deal with it.
The pot roast is in the IP and when it's cooked I shall cut up the veggies. It's a big one, so we'll have plenty for leftovers.
I'm also going to take another laid back day. Just loving this book I started.
Miss LuLa is doing better. Thank you for asking...
Waving ♥️

Happy Sunday!
I left for Mass in a cold, drizzly rain, but by lunchtime, the rain stopped so Debbie and I walked at 1:00 pm. I got dinner cooked and a lot of my book read, but not much else accomplished. However, Sunday is a day of rest, so I'm okay with that.
I have noticed that since the temperatures cooled, I haven't been drinking as much. I am trying to pay more attention to that, so mid-morning I had a mug of I Love Lemon tea, my new favorite. DH made sf lemonade with some of our fresh Meyer lemons, so that was my afternoon drink. Mission accomplished!
I had scrambled eggs with turkey crumbles & a sprinkling of cheese with a piece of Dave's Killer bread toast for a late breakfast. I wasn't terribly hungry for lunch, so had the remainder of the turkey sausage gumbo and some mustard greens for lunch. Dinner is rice and gravy with beef, corn and coleslaw. I had leftover beef gravy with just a little beef left in it in the freezer, so pulled that out and put it in the crockpot with some beef stew meat and let it simmer all day. An easy meal!
I had a nice face-time chat with my MI crew. Madison has been enjoying Christmas crafts and was proud to show them off. I showed them my Christmas tree with a handmade ornament from Madison proudly displayed right in front. Leah giggled at my short rendition of Rudolph the Red-nosed Duck and quickly corrected me. I am SO thankful for face-time!
Ann - I'm glad to hear Ms. Lula is feeling better. Carl is a saint to keep so many driveways cleared. I am sure the neighbors appreciate him.
Sue - Since I bit the bullet last year when I lost my license and got a REAL ID, I am pretty sure I will be able to renew online next time without a face-to-face. Is that an option in MI? It was a bit of a pain to get all the documentation for it, but now I won't have to worry about passport renewal unless we decide to take another trip outside the country, which I don't see happening.
Judy - Waving!
My plan for the evening is to watch 60 Minutes and the Dolly Parton Christmas special and then read some more. My sleep is much more regular now, since I am paying attention to it and I don't have many late nights anymore. "See" ya tomorrow!

Pam sounds like you had a nice relaxing Sunday. To me that's what Sunday is all about.
Thanks. Miss LuLa is doing much better.
Oh I bet you so enjoy face time.
Glad you got your walk in.
Sweet dreams all. Judy hope all is well with you and DH

Hi all,
I’m posting a little late because it is honestly the first time I have sat down all day. DH and I worked and worked today and we are both exhausted. We packed and lugged about 30 boxes out into the garage for stacking, and we cleared a large paved area next to the garage for the delivery of the storage pod on Wednesday. DH had three huge piles of soil for his garden piled up there, and after all the rain we had last night, it became very heavy and the two of us shoveled and moved the dirt for more than an hour. At least now the area is all set for the delivery, and though we still have more to do inside the house, we are much more prepared than we were a few days ago. The moving people will be here tomorrow to look everything over and they may start to take some furniture that we are giving them. We both decided we did not want to make hasty decisions now about the items we have boxed in the garage. However, we will definitely take our time once the house is finished and only bring back what we really really want. At least, for now the questionable items are packed neatly and labeled and could easily be donated if we decide to do so. I know it would have been easier to just donate everything now, but I did not want to have remorse about letting them go and being remorseful. We are getting rid of nearly everything on the second floor and a ton in the basement. We both sighed and realized that we are really going through all the artifacts from someone else’s life.
We ordered a great takeout of baked haddock with rice for dinner from one of our favorite places. Another thing I did today was clear out about 3/4 of the refrigerator. I pitched some food from the freezer that we just don’t want to lug home and I also went through all the cupboards and pantry where I loaded up two big containers of canned and dry goods. I also tossed out expired canned goods, macaroni and so forth. So, other than breakfast, it looks as though I will be picking up food for the remainder of the time I am here. I will probably try to have one main meal a day in addition to my breakfast. I do have some yogurt and a few things remaining in the fridge as well as English muffins and so forth. I am one of those people who truly hates to move! That said, I’ll be so glad when it’s all done and we are both feeling good about clearing the house. I get overwhelmed thinking that we have to do the same thing with our main house before we sell it. It sure makes us realize that less is more! I’ve always liked Gretchen Rubin and I read her a book called Outer Order Inner Calm and it is so true.
Sue, I’m so glad you were able to find the Comcast movies. We watched a fun one last night which is an oldie but goodie called Midnight Run with Robert De Niro. It was from the late 1980s but very well done.
Pam, we watched Dolly Parton’s biography on Netflix. It was great. I’ve always loved Dolly and admired her so much. Jane Fonda was one of those talking about Dolly and she is clearly a great friend and admirer, too.
Ann, I really give Carl credit for being so generous to shovel and plow neighbors. Your neighbors are so fortunate. I’ll send along prayers for his medical appointment for lumps and fatty tissue.
Our DD called tonight and our granddaughter is very eager to see photographs of her great grandparents and great great grandparents and she wants to make a scrapbook of her family. She’s an interesting little six-year-old and she starting to wonder about all those people who came before her. The timing was good because I have just finished going through loads of old pictures and I was able to take pictures and text some of them to her already so she could look but she would really like actual Photographs.
i’m off to watch Dolly‘s Christmas show now too. Thanks for reminding me Pam. Have a great night everybody.
