Good morning friends. Can you believe in 13 days it's Christmas? Time is flying. Slept well and woke up refreshed. I didn't get to finish my book...I get so sidetracked with 'games' on the phone. Think I'll put the phone someplace else LOL that may help
No plans for today. Still don't need to 'mask up' so I'll spend the day at home. At least the laundry is all one and done LOL. Yesterday felt like a laundromat in here!
Pam sorry for you hip pain and I hope the inserts help. I consider a .2 up or down as a maintain! That is great that HH is pleased with DH. I bet you are both jumping for joy. It's been a long haul! How nice to celebrate Abby's bday in the summer I'm sure she is going to enjoy her Mimi sleepover. You and DH get the grandparent award for sure!!!! Thanks for the compliment on walking. I try to at least make my Garmin goal. Some days I do come up short. Yesterday I had an ungodly amount of steps only because the weather was so fantastic. Today, right now it's foggy and 'they say' black ice. Carl is out there with miss LuLa so when he comes home, he will let me know if it's 'safe' for the klutz to be out and about! Love the movie Home Alone....KEVIN.... Please wish Abby a happy bday from her 'aunts' Happy you are enjoying Barbara Freethy.
Waving...and will CBL

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Saturday! We have a dreary rainy day today. I am still deciding if I'm going to walk or not?? It's barely sprinkling right now and it's only 48 dg. But it's noon and I just got dressed. Slow, lazy morning today, since I don't plan to go anywhere. I am starting to hear the rain more and more.
Ann ~ You were certainly a laundry machine yesterday! I love when I get them all done at once. But recently I've gotten into the habit of doing one load each day - and the outcome is the same. I was delighted to hear that DH's sense of humor reminds you of Carl's. You just can't help but love a man with a sense of humor! His ability to make me LOL has gotten us through some rough patches in life.
Judy ~ You are certainly tackling a huge job there. But it will be so worth it when it is all done! I am so sorry about your DSIL in Ca and all the commotion he is causing. Makes you wonder how one person can be so selfish?? I am glad you and DH will get to go home this weekend. Even though you will miss the Cape, I would love to be home. Safe travels to you; and be happy!!
Pam ~ May I also add my vote that 0.2 either way is a maintain! Good job!! You already know that, but I think it helps to be acknowledged. Great news about the HH and DH's foot! He is overdue for some good news! Hope you get your hip problem straightened out - that can be miserable.
Well, the rain is picking up in intensity, so maybe I'll go do a few reps on my Power Rider downstairs. If I took my book, I could also ride my stationary bike a little bit. I have been busy prepping some meat to cook this evening, and marinating two steaks for tomorrow's dinner for our wedding anniversary. I also have a shrimp ring thawing in the fridge. This will be the first wedding anniversary that we haven't been able to go out to celebrate. But it is a different kind of year; we will be festive at home.
I am so glad that that sad mood which had enveloped me has finally lifted! They sneak up sometimes and can be so insidious that it's hard to even pinpoint what I'm sad about! I am so lucky that my DH is very steady and doesn't have the moods up and down, so he provides my stability.
BBL. Make a great day!

Good morning!
We have a dreary day, with drizzling off and on. Debbie and I walked in the fog and drizzle today, but tomorrow looks iffy by the time I will be back from church. We'll just play it by ear.
I have watered indoor plants and will clean bathrooms after this post. These are two jobs that I always put off for some reason. It's silly because neither takes long to complete and I always feel good when they're done. Go figure!
I had a late night last night. After DH turned in, I decided to do some work on the annual performance eval for the credit union CEO. Once I got started, I just kept going until it was finished. Then it took me a while to settle myself into sleepy mode and it was after midnight when I finally headed to bed. But I slept well and woke at 7:00 before my alarm went off. My hip also feels better and didn't bother me at all last night.
We got a phone call from little Leah this morning who announced she has given up diapers for "big girl panties". We cheered for her and she seemed pleased. Her mom is, of course, over the moon happy, lol. Leah has grown so much in the past year without us. I try not to be sad at what we missed and be thankful for facetime, which has allowed us to share in some of the kids' milestones.
Breakfast this morning was muesli and yogurt, since I ran out of blueberries. I had a snack of a boiled egg and some pecans. I am debating what to have for lunch, but I know dinner will be spaghetti and salad. The scale was back down .2 this morning. Onward and downward!
Sue - I also get those puzzling down-swings in mood, especially at this time of year. Having a sympathetic and loving husband to help us out of it does help, doesn't it?
Ann - I would also stay put rather than try to walk on ice. So many people get serious injuries from slipping. I remember my aunt got a concussion and a torn rotator cuff from an ice fall. Better to be safe than sorry!
Judy - You are on the home stretch with the packing! Your DH is lucky to have you orchestrating all the permits and insurance issues. Soon, it will all be behind you and hopefully, by summer you will be enjoying your new home.
Time to get the bathrooms done! BBL

Hi All ~
I was lucky enough to look outside and see sunshine, so I put on my shoes and headed out. The temp was 51 so I didn't think about it (or I wouldn't have gone). I am so glad I did that!! I put my iPod on radio and tuned it to our local Christmas Station and enjoyed it very much. There was a big dark cloud headed this way, but I knew I could beat it home (and I did).
When I came in, Alexa was telling me she had a notification. Last evening when I saw her yellow ring and asked her, she told me a shipment had been delivered of *sweatshirt*. I was lucky that my DH didn't hear her but I wished I had heard her instructions for how to disable that feature. Today she told me the same message, but I listened closer and then went on the Alexa app on my phone and turned off that notification. I like knowing when I have a delivery, but I don't necessarily need her to announce the item. The next delivery that comes will be something else for DH for Christmas, then I can turn it back on. I have three more deliveries for DH but they are all on their way (from different places), so no worries. As soon as I receive them I can go downstairs and get all the wrapping materials out and wrap his and leave them out for him to use.
I have dried and put away the sheets I took off the bed, and done all my food prep. I had cinnamon raisin toast with a banana for breakfast and a cup of veggie/bean soup for lunch. Supper will be a (beef brisket) hot dog in a bun with Tater Tots done in the oven; and a dish of LF cottage cheese and fresh pineapple.
I think it is time for some R & R for me, and to get into my new Christmas book. BBL.

It's far too gloomy and misty to face the great outdoors today. I am sitting here listening to soft music and have the tree and candles in the windows lit.
Pam I don't walk in icy weather. I've had more than my fair share of falls.
Sue yes a sense of humor is a blessing.
I have already shut desktop computer down and notta fan of the phone to post.
I shall be back tomorrow.
Hugs prayers and love ♥️🙏♥️

Hi all,
It’s been another very long day with a lot accomplished overall. The movers showed up again around 10 AM and DH had already done a lot of dismantling of a crib and some beds for them so their work was really cut in half. We all had to yell at him to stop lifting so many heavy things. He wanted to move things along but he can be very stubborn and it’s not good for his heart or health to hoist really heavy furniture. They cleared out two more rooms, and sadly a nice crib winds up going to the dump because he can’t sell ones that aren’t up to the current code. Most baby furniture winds up at the dump but some at least at the thrift shops. After he left, we did more packing of the smalls as we call them. It seems like we still have a lot to do but in reality 90% he’s done now and he will be back both tomorrow and Monday briefly to finish out the fine furniture and our bedroom set. I will stay an extra night until Monday when everything’s done.
We had a really fun FaceTime video with a California crew today because they were celebrating their full blown Christmas today. The kids were over the moon excited and couldn’t wait to tell me that Santa had arrived at their house and a surprise visit last night. DD really went the extra mile with all of her decorating, baking and festive touches to give them one of their best Christmases so far! I was happy for her as well since she won’t have them on the actual day because I think it would be hard to beat the Christmas they just had today! The big hit for our DGD was The arrival of the two American girl dolls that I saved for 30 years! They were in pristine condition because Didi was finicky and hardly played with them because she wanted them to look perfect. That was just her. But it paid off because now little Sophie has a couple wonderful dolls. I also sent along new clothes for them that I found on Etsy. Some talented women make beautiful clothing including the Christmas outfits for Kristen. St. Lucia.
Sue, I cracked up when I heard that Alexa announce the actual item being delivered. I could picture mine saying two size 40 double D bras arriving tomorrow! Ha ha. But it would be a big gift spoiler hearing what’s coming! I’m surprised Amazon hasn’t had a lot of pushback on that one!
Ann, it was a dreary day. I hope you got some relaxation and reading done. Today’s treasures here were reading memoirs my mom wrote about growing up and early married times in 1941 living in NYC! She took a creative writing class in the 90s and wrote great autobiographical stories. I’ll treasure them and share with my brothers.
Pam, cute that little Leah is wearing big girl underpants now. She must be so proud of herself. I’m with you about missing so much in these young lives but FaceTime has allowed us to share in a lot of fun. We had a big laugh about a leather tool belt and set of real tool for young children. I read many reviews on Amazon and the tools sounded great. Well, DD said she’d be afraid 4 year old Sebbie would gouge out the dog’s eyes with the hammer and nails. We couldn’t stop laughing. It’s not that that was funny it was just the way she said it and knowing what a little wild man Sebbie can be at times! Guess he will have to use his real tools when he’s heavily supervised with his grandfather on a future visit.
off to bed and I’ll check in tomorrow. I feel about 100 lbs lighter unloading so much this week. My eating has been so so. We had sushi tonight. Keeping it easy!
Night all!
