I have the December juniper allergy symptoms although it isn't listed in pollen reports. in Texas they call it cedar fever it gets so bad...sort of like hay fever. given our climate, I have sinus drip back of throat all year, but Sept, April- May , Dec. are seasonal additions! yuck. so once I get comfy in bed, it gathers in my throat and coughing it up keeps me awake. three pillow nights. yes, i take temp and do oxygen levels to be sure that is all it is. looks like I will be raking today, and Micki will be jumping on the leaf piles.

moonriver, Denise, it is 32° here as well. We may get a few snow sprinkles this week. I hear the Northeast is supposed to get a bunch of snow this week. As long as it is not Ohio and Michigan.

Karen, thanks for the start. How goes the Monday cleaning? How is little Arya? Any news on the ear lump?
Liz, are you all gearing up for the Nor’easter the weather guessers are predicting? I hope you have sturdy boots.
Linda, I don’t envy you the cedar pollen. I hate that post nasal drip. Pretty picture. I hope Micki has fun in the leaves. Did you both sleep well after playtime?
Kathy, any more bear sightings? Have you got your presents wrapped? I don’t have many this year.
Becky, how are you feeling after your 3 miles of walking?
I received someone else’s package on our doorstep a d didn’t notice it until yesterday. We don’t use the front door much and if we are not expecting anything we don’t look on the stoop. I delivered it this morning and went to the post office to get stamps, but I didn’t go in. It was crowded and people were crammed into the small indoor space. I went to the Kroger customer service counter instead. No Christmas stamps but, at least, no crowds. It is a cloudy day here. Nothing to do but chores. 😒

Becky walking with a head wind is a real challenge even when it is a warm head wind. Kudos to you for toughing it out and I hope you aren't paying for it today. Did you get colder than Austin this morning?
Isn't it funny how we can unknowingly accumulate stuff in the pantry, Linda? I think we ended up with 4 bottles of BBQ sauce the last time I rearranged. I hope you are feeling better today. Sorry about the juniper fever. Right now it's good to do a little testing to make sure that's all it is. Our numbers here are through the roof with more than 10K+ new cases per day since Saturday. Nice to have the room to play with Micki. We are kind of confined here and have some glass things sitting around, so throwing a ball is out of the question. Is that your Meyer Lemon Tree in the photo?
Denise, BRRRRR indeed on 32 degrees. Keep warm! I am still waiting for at least one of Dale's gifts to arrive and still have to wrap everything. I sent all the out of town gifts last week and they should have all arrived today. Do you have all your shopping done?
I didn't do as much Monday cleaning as usual, Chele, due to having to ensure that Sweet Potato wasn't doing anything she shouldn't. She seems to be fine and is even chewing on a Nylabone right now, so the teeth must not be hurting. It will probably be next week before we hear the path report from her ear. I'm glad you were able to take care of your postal needs in a relatively safe environment. I put together a care package for my GF in the rehab center right now and I hope the box isn't too large to fit in the mail receptacle outside the PO. I can drop it off on the way home from the gym tomorrow.
Liz, did your hsopital start vaccinating today? Hard to believe over 3 million have been administered just today. I hope you will be able to get one soon.
Are you having colder air like some of the rest of us, Kathy? What are you hearing about the Gator basketball player who collapsed on the court Saturday? Is he still in critical condition? Do UCF and FSU have remaining football games? Tennessee plays Becky's Aggies on Saturday in a rescheduled game from a month or so ago. The chances of TN winning are slim and none. A&M is trying to make a case to be in the championship group, so they have much more riding on a win.
Besides cleaning, I had about an hour call with my new MG VP. Hopefully he will run for president next year. He would be good. I have a Frito pie in the oven for dinner. It will be a good warm dinner for us. I just hope it doesn't aggravate my occasional reflux. I'll go to the gym and the PO in the morning and that could be the extent of my plans.

Chele, send some of that cool air down here. But not too much! It was 80 and muggy today, but a weak front is supposed to come through. I haven't heard of any more bear sightings, but tomorrow is trash day. I'm sure they'll be looking for a good midnight snack tonight. I don't have a single present wrapped yet. I don't have as many as normal either. I got a set of drawstring gift bags that should simplify the process. Was it my package on your doorstep? I have one that's been stuck in NJ since Dec. 1. Why NJ? I have no idea.
Karen, thanks for the start. No cold air here yet. The basketball player is still in critical condition, but is stable and responding to some commands. They haven't said yet if he was one of the players that had Covid. UCF is done unless they play in a bowl. FSU plays Wake this weekend. I don't know if they'll try and make up any other games, but it's probably getting too late. I'm sure Clemson would love to come and beat up on them! I just saw that UCF is playing BYU in the Boca Raton Bowl on the 22nd. The FSU game is on the ACC Network, so I may watch the TN game.
Waving to everyone. Have a good evening.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele I was tired yesterday but I was able to walk 2 miles this afternoon after it warmed up a little and the sun came out.
Karen No I'm not paying for it today. The wind wasn't quite as bad today but still cool when I walked. Actually we were 2 degrees above Austin for once. We had a low of 39 and they had a low of 37. It hit 50 briefly but it's already down to 36. Frito pie sounds good.

What is a frito pie?
thinking of Liz and this huge job vaccinating, and the rising numbers.
39 here too this morning.
We sure have learned a lot about the election process ...and they have set up fake electors to try to change the outcome Jan 6 in Congress when they approve the electoral results. Arggg. The man lost. Make it stop! You will not believe what they did here. www.azcentral.com/story/news/politics/elections/2020/12/14/arizona-groups-fake-electors-try-cast-11-electoral-votes-trump/6536056002/
Prices sure are rising..especially meat.
I hope the vaccine protects all those medical people we desperately need..800 have died so far and more just cannot work anymore from virus effects. My brother ( VA nurse) wants it as soon as possible.
I put on a mask I made from quilting cotton, added half a coffee filter and then one of those silicon frames to keep it in place and off my face..worked ok and they say if you do not use N95 , you need three layers. Dropped library books..people less, dropped mail at blue box, sanitized hands, dropped a lot of stuff at Good will staying way away from the masked worker, and then replaced dairy, meat and produce we need at Sprouts at the lull time of afternoon..almost nobody there. Paranoid the whole time. AZ leads in infection rate again. No, the governor is not shutting down anything or making stricter regulations or putting real teeth into it or mandating masks..state hit 400, ooo cases since Jan...
