We have snow flurries this morning and slick roads. There are already accidents on the roads. We are expecting only 1-2” of accumulating snow in our area between now and tomorrow morning. Linda, congrats on the gate. How are the sinuses this morning? I feel you on cable phone. That is why we only have mobile phones. I have also had the feeling of impending doom recently. Remember my GF’s breathing problems? Turned out to be anxiety. She is taking an anti-depressant now. It has been quite the year between the pandemic, politics and regular life problems. Karen,PF does not seem to be improving. The last time it was this bad it took over a year to feel better. The sinuses are dripping back and front. Oh, well. Shopping is done. I only shop for Iggy and 2 GFs and that is done. The nieces and nephews get cash. In their eyes, nothing says Christmas like cash, cash, cash. 😆 I hope the tiredness is gone. I guess the frito pie did not cause acid reflux. Yay! Sounds like MG is going well. Still expecting just rain? Liz, it is cold even for me. 12-18”. Yikes! I am glad you can work from home. That’s a shame your dentist will not be around for the adjustments which I hope are minimal. I sure hope you get the vaccine promptly. It made me mad that the WH was going to get the vaccine first, since they have done nothing but then I thought about the staff and Secret Service who have had to be there for all the super spreaders. They need it. Be careful out there. Becky, I had only 2 cats and there was no herding. 4 miles is a lot. I hope the ITB has calmed down. Glad the arm is better. Kathy, I had a coworker who always muttered something about herding cats when things were not going well with the movement of freight from warehouse to ship. I hope you have an outdoor get together with DM and DS. I had a good idea but no one wants to do it with me. Each family makes one dish to share and we exchange dishes (leave on porch), so we are eating same meal separately and we don’t have to cook a whole meal. I thought it was genius. No one agreed (as usual). They’d rather have a super spreader event. Denise, when do get the vaccine? I hope it is soon. I made pizza yesterday. I had made the dough from the King Arthur recipe on line and froze the uncooked dough. I defrosted it overnight and took it out of the fridge to rise in the morning. That worked well. I made the usual spinach and feta, my favorite, and did a ham and green olive for Iggy, his favorite. Cold pizza for breakfast, anyone? It’s the best pizza dough recipe I have tried. King Arthur pizza crust I was going to drop off some mail and pick up a prescription at the CVS drive through but I may wait. It is pretty icy out. Well, I’d better post before I lose it. Stay healthy.

Thanks for the start, Chele. Hope you don't have any reason to go out on the highway today. How much snow do you have so far? We're still just expecting rain, but it will be (and is) a cold rain. Early tomorrow morning we may get a little snow, but it should stay above freezing (but just barely). PF can be extremely stubborn. How often do you ice it? I just send everyone gift cards in lieu of cash. Right size, right color. Since DM passed away, I just shop for Dale. One of his presents is on back order but it's trail running shoes that he won't need this exact moment, so if they get here late, it's not a huge deal. No reflux from the Frito Pie, but I've been using bitters before I eat it and I ran out yesterday. So we'll see how things go today.
Liz, I hope you get out really early today. I'm relieved to hear you will be working from home tomorrow. If you get 18" and the city gets a foot, will you be able to extend to working from home Friday as well? I saw in the NYT that the city hasn't seen this much snow since 2016. Prayers that you keep your power at home. So thankful for our generator when that kind of thing happens. It has paid for itself many times over the years.
I, too, can relate on the internet issues, Linda. Our wi-fi has been so up and down since late October (more down than up) and the only thing that has gotten us through, especially with Dale working from home, has been the ability to use our cell phones as hotspots. We got consistent service back last Friday and it has remained. Hopefully they have gotten their issues fixed. Router would be the place to start. We reboot ours at least a couple of times a day. Take advantage of every good day you can get. I hope you're having another good day today. Was your Italian from the usual place? That always sounds so good. I plugged the Frito Pie recipe into My Fitness Pal and it says 381 calories. But that's with my homemade beans. And Boca is less calories and fat than ground beef. You could knock it down a bit more by using reduced fat cheese. And, the servings are HUGE so you probably wouldn't eat more than about 2/3 of one.
Becky, how are you feeling today? It's actually good to have a couple of different routes of the same mileage so you don't get bored doing the same walk every time. I was surprised the massage guns were that expensive. It would have to feel really good to pay that much, unless one of us had something major to use it on. Not surprised about the arthritis and the cold. I hope your arm continues to feel better. Speaking of cold, my former boss from ACC and I have stayed in touch over the years. She is 83 and has been living by herself in north Austin since her DH died a few years ago. She is now, at least temporarily, living with one of her daughters in Minnesota. Can you imagine going from a Texas winter to a Minnesota winter? No thanks!
I'll have to check BBCA for A Discovery of Witches, Kathy. AMC was a dead end if I didn't want to pay for the premium channel. Speaking of BBCA, have you heard anything about a new Doctor Who series or a Christmas or New Year special? I hope next week will be conducive to an outdoor gathering at DS's. Good modification suggestions on the Frito Pie.
Denise, be careful going to work tonight if the roads are slick from the snow. How much snow are you expecting? Hopefully there will only be mild side effects from the vaccine, but I understand your desire to wait. It may be a while before we get enough vaccine here for me to get it and I figure that will give a large pool of people to get potential side effects before I have to make a decision.
We had the turkey parade come by this morning. 20 of them came through the woods and across the driveway to the woods on the other side of our property. Then Dale had a 6 point buck walk right past his office window. The joys of living in the wild....I'm still a little tired so I am taking it a bit easy. I have vacuumed and did a load of laundry, plus cleaning the suet block holder so I can get some suet blocks tomorrow. The woodpeckers expecially love them. I also have the dog food container we used to use cleaned up and ready to use tomorrow when I buy the dry food. I repurposed it for garden stuff so I'm taking it back to its original use. That may be it for the day.

Saw a post elsewhere from someone who lives in NJ near NYC... 1-2 feet of snow..wow. Not good. Sure do not miss any of it.
I did get beginning of migraine yesterday but managed to stop it, sometimes weird moods come before those, but the year is so bad in health scare and politics ....when I turn on tv and see breaking news on the screen, I keep muttering , “What fresh Hell...” from Shakespeare.
Herding cats is familiar to teachers. Also a job like nailing jello to the wall.
Been sending Visa cards or Amazon for Christmas to the grands for years. You cannot even predict what store they would like any more.
The dinner with dishes left on porches idea is good and a lot are doing that. I dread the rise after Christmas stupidity.
Did you know ( latest study) that eating inside a restaurant. 20 feet from an infected person can infect you in five minutes? Family dinners would be way worse. All these outdoor structures places they put up for warmth are just indoor eating to extend restaurant space unless they are individual dividers.
We have woodpeckers at the hummer feeder, but the little non hummers cannot get the stuff. I feel bad but when I used to do seed it brought us hordes of outdoor AZ cockroaches that climb the tree and down the chain! Or the birds knocked it on the ground... Shudder.
I have friends in MN and WI and upstate NY and VT...nope, not wanting to do winter there after here!
According to guy from cable who tested our system remotely, the modem may be tired out. The Apple router stays green...getting a signal from when you try, it says it cannot connect the server at their end. Maybe too many streaming and zooming.
As I work on articles for museum archives, I read a lot...the side effects from the vaccine show that your body reacted and is producing immunity...but it can be days of aching muscles, a bit of fever, and other issues. The Moderna is worse. Another coming later has only one shot. Not looking forward to that as I ache from flu shots sometimes and tetanus.

moonriver, Denise, neither of us is looking forward to the vaccine either. Karen, so far we have less than half an inch and it is not sticking to the roads yet. It is slick out, though. Iggy drove me to the PO and CVS. Honestly, I haven’t iced the foot in awhile. 😕 I would love to see a turkey parade and a 6 point buck. Linda, I had a bell shaped wire feeder up for the blue jays and cardinals but the squirrels decimated it, so I took it down. I can’t afford enough seed to feed all the neighborhood squirrels. I would not have seed if it attracted roaches. I had enough of those in NYC. Riding in cabs is also a good place to spread germs. It is recommended to keep window opposite you open as well as wearing a 😷.

Chele, thanks for the start. It's been drizzling here today, but no snow in sight. I like your idea on everyone doing one dish. I'm guessing you won't be attending the super spreader event. That pizza sounds delicious.
Karen, AMC used to come with my cable package, but I haven't looked lately to see if it's still there. There will be a Doctor Who New Year's Day special involving the Daleks. I used to see some wild turkeys on my way to work. There was a rural area I passed through but sad to say that it's mostly been developed. That's impressive to see the 6 point buck. I haven't seen the deer around as much this year and have wondered if it's due to the bears. I'm not really in the wild, but it sure seems like it sometimes! There is some big football news for UCF and FSU. The UCF QB that was injured is transferring to FSU and should be able to play next year. He's a great guy, so I hope he does well there. He didn't want to compete with the current UCF QB that has been doing so well and FSU needs all the help they can get! Thanks for the update on Liz. Glad she got home safely.
Hope everyone has a great evening.

Thanks for the start Chele. Stay safe in that snow. I'm sorry for your GF's anxiety but glad she is on an anti-depressant. I am on an anxiety and anti-depressant and have been for years. The ITB had calmed down by time I woke up this morning. I got in 2 miles this morning and another 1.5 this afternoon and it wasn't as bad. This morning when I walked it was 38 with breezy wind and so it felt colder than it was. This afternoon the wind was still up but warmer than this morning. Our high was 52 and is down to 48. They are predicting 29 for Austin in the morning and we are usually a little cooler than them so I will probably only go for a walk in the afternoon when it's warmer unless it warms up faster in the morning. I'm glad you liked the pizza but no cold pizza for me. In fact I haven't had pizza since joining WW. I will have some one day.
Karen I need to get a router but they cost more than I'm willing to pay this time of year. My leg felt fine this morning and walking just a little less today seemed to help. I go the opposite way sometimes because there is a creek that sounds so peaceful when I walk by it. I'm with you. No thanks on the Minnesota winters. I would rather have our hot summers than their cold winters. You do so much. It's no wonder you are tired. Thanks for the update on Liz. I'm glad she got out early.
