The Mindβ―Bodyβ―Spirit connection emphasis is creating balance, wholeness, and coherence in our lives. It acknowledges that how we think, what we feel, and what we believe create the life we live and the world around us. π·
Let's get started! We'll post:

We're under a long spell of heavy cloud cover. Snow on Thursday. If this is the worst of spring, let it be. I'm looking forward to a much nicer weekend!
I've been holding off on food shopping, trying to clear out the freezer and fridge. It's almost bare. My men are getting impatient, I keep finding odd things to make, they don't get it, haha!

Good morning! Whew what a rainy day, with wind blowing the rain. But - we needed it.
Lisa, have you ever heard of the Buy Nothing New Month? In theory, you're not supposed to buy anything new, but my hairdresser does it in February for food items only. She buys only necessary staples that you use weekly (bread, milk, etc.) but no canned goods or frozen foods, spices and condiments etc., and no meat until she uses any in the freezer. It's a great way to clear out the cupboards. I'm planning to do it - use up all those cans of pumpkin, Hatch chilis, artichokes, etc.
This weekend I also came up with a simple plan to utilize all the fruits and veggies without "losing" any in the fridge. I took inventory and wrote it all out on a 4.5 inch, rules sticky note, put it on the cupboard that I face while chopping. A good reminder to put arugula in the salad, add some red cabbage to a smoothie (yummy with grapes or strawberries), put those raspberries in oatmeal before they mold up.
Suzanne, good luck with your stress management efforts.
Something new for me - part of that long virus I had was a painfully swollen and red eye. It wasn't going away so I saw my eye doctor yesterday. After some arguing back and forth (i.e, change your lens script, get a diabetes test) he finally gave me a test for dry eyes. Lo and behold, that's what it is. He recommended putting a plug in my right eye drainage hole (opposite of a tear duct), sort of like putting a plug in a sink with a drippy faucet, and it gathers water. Sounds gross, but it's really a tiny filament. The other alternative was months on Restatis and I'm sick of medications. So - I went for it. Wow it's working already, no pain and no extra meds!
Daily Affirmation - I'm grateful for my eyesight and will protect it always.
Fitness Report - early a.m. qigong.
Health Goal - stay on course; yesterday was a good day.
Gratitude - a healthy eye.
Good morning to Carol and any of our friends who have not visited in a while.

Pat, all good ideas! I do use google keep for food list so I remember what I've got buried in there. I love the idea of not buying for a month. I just went to Costco, and stocked up the freezer, so I should be good for a month or so, besides produce, that is. I'm planning on doing lots of smoothies this next week, so no need to freeze any fruit just yet. My niece had that duct plug done for dry eyes also. Is is permanent?
I left early for work, forgot my packed healthy lunch, and had 10 min to kill before my appt, so I stopped at McD's and got an egg mcmuffin. UG! THEN... I had to go a few blocks away to use the restroom, so I stopped in a Subway, and of course got a veggie sand. TWO fast food meals in one day, that is sooooo sad! I'm so glad that is not my norm. I feel like crud.
Heading out to clean my car, my tool bag, and plant some Datura seeds and Chard seeds. I'm seeing some tiny green things in my seed garden already. I think it's the kale. So exciting! My next seed adventure is in milk jugs. My neighbors were kind enough to save for me, so I have to try it.
