The Mindβ―Bodyβ―Spirit connection emphasis is creating balance, wholeness, and coherence in our lives. It acknowledges that how we think, what we feel, and what we believe create the life we live and the world around us. π·

affirmation - my spirits are sunny even on the gloomy days health goal - flush out the UTI and the fat fitness goal - weights, stretching gratitude - Garden Club Spring Luncheon
I'm off to a fancy shmancy golf club for our annual spring luncheon. I made a beautiful flower arrangement for the table. I used blooming forsythia to create the illusion of a basket handle, and vine twined around the base so it looks like a natural basket sitting in a glass bowl. so fun! However, I cannot find anything to wear that resembles spring in this weather. 90% chance pouring rain, with temps not to exceed 42. Gloomiest day of the year so far! and if that's the worst of my problems, I am a lucky girl!

Good Morning, Dear Ones,
I'm having a bout of pre-birthday depression. It's not even a milestone year, but I just feel overwhelmed by the state of things, unfinished projects, facing mortality...etc, etc. so I have just not bothered to invite friends to the usual dinner out. I just feel like skipping it. My sweetie wants my wish list and I can't even think of anything I want. That kind of month, I'm having. Ugh...thanks for letting me whine. Onward!
Affirmation - It's a journey, not a destination Fitness goal - jazz dance today Health goal - choose healthy, clean foods Gratitude - still here!
Missbliss....love your affirmation. Hope it rubs off on me, LOL
Be well, Carol

Aw Carol, you have my sympathies. Another birthday kind of asks for note-taking - dones, not-dones, would haves, should haves. I hear you on mortality - that is a tough thought to ponder. But - congratulations on all the hard work it took to make it through another year on this earth. And happy birthday! Lisa your centerpiece sounds amazing. I'm sure it will brighten up a gloomy day. Have fun! Waves to Suzanne - how is that stress load? How are you holding up? The weather got me into a nasty mood last night. I did some yoga but really had had it with DH's carping and moping. His negativity really got to me last night. Grump! Daily Affirmation - the sun is shining today and so am I. Fitness Report - hatha yoga. Health Goal - make a spring asparagus and pea soup tonight. Gratitude - a productive day at work to take my mind off things.

Carol, you are so on! It's a journey, not a destination! I think we all have those days. I hope you find the sunshine soon! I can usually find it when I start thinking of all the things I am grateful for. When I focus on those, all my worries seem to fade.
I had a lovely day. My arrangement was a hit, as were so many others! We have some truly talented and creative ladies in our club. Several of them take classes, so there's are especially nice. One was almost totally flat, just a geometric design with the flowers at different heights. So simple! I can't remember what she called it, I will ask. At each place setting there was a small fishbowl with a giant daffodil floating. Simple, elegant, and so bright! I'm gonna use that one sometime. Then, we had a florist come in and do a program on floral design. He made the most amazing arrangements I've ever seen! He doesn't follow any of the rules, but he has a great eye! And he had so many unusual flowers to work with. They raffled them off, but I didn't get one, darn! I asked how expensive they would be, and all of them would be $150 min. Yowza!
I learned a few things, too! He suggested taking cuttings from flowering shrubs and putting them in a vase with warm water. It forces them to bloom early. And you can steam flowers to rejuvenate them by putting them in a vase with very warm water, then cover with a plastic bag. This works on hydrangeas and ....... can't remember.
