WELCOME TO REGULAR & NEW POSTERS! This thread is full of encouragement & suggestions. New people, welcome! We encourage you to jump in. One day, one hour, one minute at a time is easier to handle than a week, etc. Lurkers, join in
Our goal is 21 days Binge Free (studies show 21 days to break old habits & start new ones!). Whether we make 21 or one, the point is to learn as we go, replace binges with other things to help us through stressful times. Some days are harder than others & we may slip; that's OK. The Binge Monster is in the shadows waiting to pounce. Hopefully this thread provides inspiration, courage, & support to become a Binge Survivor!
You may see different folks on different "Cycles." A Cycle is a 21 day block of consecutive binge-free days. Stay with us for as many cycles as you'd like.
Everyone's definition of a BINGE is different. The Oxford Dictionary defines a binge as a spree of eating and drinking. To many of us, BINGE is defined as "eating without dignity." The dictionary defines "dignity" as a calm and serious manner or style, showing suitable formality or indicating that one deserves respect. Only you can define what a binge is for you. Going over points, as long as it was done with dignity and journaled (thereforeacknowledged and "owned") isn't binging--it is up to you to decide.
SPECIAL THANKS TO LESLIE5609 for starting this challenge on the Out of Control Board, in August '02, and thanks to all who keep it going.

C56. D0. Working to get back on track, starti g now. I have banana based bran muffin and in the oven. Will do yoga shortly.
I've been away dealing with a serious health issue for DD. Met with doctors at Mayo clinic yesterday and have a good prognosis. She starts treatment today and it is noninvasive and hopefully without side effects. So all is well!!!
Lori - sounds like you do the same as me and multitask on the exercise bike.
Nancy- you can get back to Kclosed. I'll join you. Kclosed at 8pm here. DS gets home from basketball practice at 7:30pm each week night, so we have late dinner as a family. Hence the 8pm.
Jan- like you, I'm sucked into the news these days. Sad to say I get a bunch of my news from Twitter, which is an echo chamber where I hear only like minded news and ideas. It's designed with algorithms to be that way. So I occasionally turn on AM radio to hear other perspectives.
Hi to all who follow.

Well last night was an all out binge - can you believe? On day D20! It's a new day. So far today perfect. I was so tired that I took a nap this evening from 5-7. I'll probably be up all night. I have 4 saturday weigh in's this month. Hoping they will get me back to a downward trend. My line dancers have been calling, so I spoke with our community manager about starting classes in a limited way - no more than 10 dancers per session with masks. They've already started stretch and tone here in that way and it's working great. I'm thinking twice a week, once for regulars and once for beginners. Her reaction was good. She will bring it up to the board on January 28th. I think it's time.
Kathy - So pleased to hear the Mayo Clinic is suggesting a non invasive treatment. Hoping with every fiber of my being that the treatment takes care of it with no serious side effects. How far is the Mayo Clinic from your home? As for k-closed, let's do this GF. Hand in hand.
Lori - I found a built bar at GNC. They only had three flavors - 2 with coconut and one double chocolate. I took the double chocolate. Not bad at all and a lot to eat for the 3 points and 130 calories. On the Built.com website, they have the option now for a mixed box of 18. We can pick and choose 3 flavors, 6 each. I was thinking of the salted caramel, cookies and cream and caramel brownie. Which are your favorites?

Without counting the binge, I ended the week with 19 weeklies and 9 fit points so I probably ended up on program for the week, but I'm still considering the second night a binge since I didn't count those points or calories. Very happy to be starting a new clean week tomorrow starting with an easy 12 hr + fast - assuming I stay clean tonight of which I have every intention.
