Those who have committed to being the best they can be. A place to come and share. A group that is there for one another. Though there is a list, it changes from time to time. Let us know if you might be interested in joining us and I will add your name to the list.
People are lined up waiting to shop...three weeks without shopping will be tough for many. I think we can walk to the produce shops if necessary or have things delivered but am not sure. We are set and should be fine.
CHERRY: I am glad your son will be able to stop by for awhile and that you are able to make the lotion that helps his dry skin. How do you have a tree that remains decorated and is so easily put up and taken down?
BEVERLY: Did the snow flurries arrive eventually? I hope your pickup from the store and gas in the car trip went well. Sorry to hear about your neighbor on the ventilator. I wonder how long they keep a patient on before removing them or giving the ventilator to someone else? What a mess!
LYNN: You bought a new fake tree...Christmas tree? Was it on sale? We would have been fine without a trip to the stores yesterday but my husband prefers to be "prepared"...he is a worrier! I think four big boxes of beans and grains should sustain us a LONG time! I am glad your daughter is not on the covid ward. My niece posted that she held a dying man's hand through a zoom call with his family as he died...talk about difficult!
Cathy, yes, we ordered an artificial tree as my allergies were terrible with the real one. I want to make sure it lights before we put it away until next year. It was on sale...I always look for a bargain!! Wow, will all of the stores be closed where you live for three weeks?
I am waiting for the second Con Ed man today. The first one came already and changed my gas meters and he told me another person would come and change the electric meters. I didn't know it involved two people. He told me that the other person would be here within the 8 to noon time they gave me for my appointment. He has another hour to get here.
I have another online class tonight on the MOMA and I look forward to it. All of the classes are very good and have been informative.
Good morning. Cathy, my tree is a fiber optic tree and came with decorations already permanently on it. Somewhere along the line when we were cleaning my basement the gadget that plugs in an turns on the fiber optics got lost. So I strung a set of miniature white Christmas lights on it and just leave them there. The tree is only about 3 ft. tall so is easy to move.
I did get the lotion made yesterday morning for Roger. He came and picked the bottles up but decided not to come in the house yet. We talked for awhile through the doorway. He didn't stay long. It was a fairly nice evening with no wind so we were able to visit a little longer.
No real plans for today, except to exercise. This is a day that I walk and dance so I will go down to the basement and do that in a little while. There are other things in the house that I can do, it's just a matter of deciding which ones I want to do.
Have a nice day, beaches.

We have a skim of snow! It was really pretty as it was falling yesterday afternoon. It will be gone soon, 45 now & sunshine, but it was very pretty.
I heard from my neighbor last night. I talked to her DD. She says that they are thinking that she is a tad better. She is still on the ventilator, but they are cutting back on the amounts of different things that the ventilator does & her stats stay the same. He oxygen level is somewhere around 50%, which is much better than it was, they are still hopeful. If she survives this, it will be a miracle. She is a fighter, she is a cancer survivor.
I am watching "The Crown". That will keep me busy for a while, it is actually like a walk through history. I can see why people are so into it. I am still on season 1. There are 4 seasons all together, so I have a ways to go to catch up. Would you believe that Queen Elizabeth 2nd, never went to school? She never had any formal education & she can barely read & write? The only thing that they ever taught her was the constitution of the UK. that was it. Very interesting.
Hope everyone has a great day! Waving to everyone.
