Sue: YAY for a day off for more holiday prep!! Oh MAN! HOW funny is that?? I go to PA and you come to MA!?! Let me think on the plan for coming home... we still aren't sure how long we are staying - where - all that... just that we are leaving Saturday 4/1 heading to NC via Virginia Beach (to drop Tracy at friend's)then picking her up on our way North sometime the end of the week... at least that's sort of the plan now... we'll chat! What's to occasion in Auburn?? Lisa: Sooo envious here of your "break" for the holidays...hey we lucked out, most folks are NOT shopping that late in the day I guess! LOL I did some shopping at Aldi's... then a return/exchange at Bed, Bath & Beyond... then hit Wal-Mart... then NAIL PRO! WHEW!!! LOL Then actually called it a night... My Dd is SOOOOOO wonderful, she has the day today - hanging out in town between shifts - so she will grab my groceries! WIN WIN!! Gives her something to "do" and gets my last minute stuff done!... Gabrielle: LOL Enjoy your White Christmas... we too may get more snow Saturday - just enough to make it "pretty"... then we warm up again - or so I hear... YAY for getting DH to go shopping with you :-) Have to laugh, my DS Matt, got ALL his shopping done on TG/BF... NOW he finds he needs a few things, and he has nothing wrapped - so I am having Zoë tonight and tomorrow morning - so they can get it done! LOL Not sure when I will get my wrapping done, but whatever... I won't pass up the time to have either of my girls... So an overnight tonight with BOTH DGDs... should be interesting anyway! LOL Tracy won't be here either - so it is pure Gramma/Grampa time!!! Sue: Good to hear your plant is so full of work! YAY to OT for those that need it too... Shelly: NO WAY! A grilled chicken sandwich was a good choice, even some tater tots won't ruin a whole day!! Ended up with just pedicures... will do my own fingernails this weekend...just wasn't up for it (or have the time) after the AWESOME pedi... wanted to get some dinner and get DD back to town for her shift at 10...

Morning Christine... how's the knee today?? Big plans for today/tonight??
So... Kaitlin "called out" yesterday - big surprise...NOT... today Debbie is out... Tuesday Kaitlin is out... I am sure that some day next week Deb H will be out, as she has sick time to use too... and people wonder why I can't WAIT for January! LOL NO ONE will be anxious to use their time in January!! We MIGHT actually have full staff most weeks... well, without Jess (Maternity) but still... feels "promising"!
Gotta jet... want to throw a Monkey Bread in the oven to take in today... it's also blue jean day - so that's cool... Tracy is coming to get my car and do my shopping this morning... after work I go pick up Eden... then swing by and grab Zoë... come home to a quick pasta dinner (hoping DH gets home first and can cook)... then an evening with the girls... after they go to bed, I hope to get some wrapping done! We'll see!!
I am not wishing my life away - but I AM looking forward to NEXT weekend... NO PLANS... except the girls Saturday (I assume)... DH will be working Sunday 1/1 for Inventory... DD usually goes in to help too... so I shall be home alone and looking forward to IT!
Enjoy your Friday everyone - yes LET THE WEEKEND BEGIN - BUT... it doesn't have to derail us... we can make good choices ♥hugs♥

Carole - wow you sound super busy but how great you get BOTH Baby Girls tonight! And win-win for DD picking up your groceries. DD18 Linds was off yesterday so we spent the day and evening getting all our last minute shopping done and groceries. ONE more gift card to get then I promise to be done...How nice DH got a bonus from the new owners. And boy, am I not surprised the former owners have been mum on the promised bonus since the sale - I didn't trust them when they dropped hints last Fall either...shaking my head at that one. Oh my! Kaitlin called 'off' lol Just curious, how many Sick days do employees get? I think we get 10 days a year but ours carry over each year - which is why I have like 400 hours of Sick time available. Administrators get 3 weeks Vacation but 'use it or lose it' by the fiscal year July 1. Remember, we have to work during "Shut Down" now but I think Dragon Lady was encouraging staff to use that Vacation time during the Holidays. You made me laugh OUT loud with comment about Kitchen floor and grit under your feet! Thanks for that I swear mine would be the same if not for the shedding dog and weekly haircut in the area LOL Hooray for pedicures! DD20 and I are planning the same in January once my knee can bend normally...my feet are like sand paper right now. I try and try to find a good foot lotion to help but Ehhh nothing yet...

Sue - oh so glad to hear you are OFF today to get last minute stuff done. I too have been tracking but not able to follow any sort of a Plan at this point. Doing better avoiding the Christmas Cookies around the house How was your chat with DB the other day? Hope he helped validate YOU over mother's behavior towards you. Just plain rude of her but then again, we all just shake our heads by now...so sorry she was nasty about the Christmas Cards. BTW did SHE send any cards out this year? Just asking... Hope you had time for the pool - I think it would actually feel relaxing to take some 'me' time for your knee. I have been walking more and finding relief in my Aleve. Not sure ice is doing much at this point.

Shelly - did you get your new little Tree up? I hope so as I know you actually might enjoy it over the next few days. Great WI this week!! And the lunch choice of grilled chicken sandwich was very good! Nice job! Did you find something cute for DGS Abel? How late is your store open Christmas Eve and Christmas Day? DD20 works the Sub Station in a large grocery store here - they were 'Slammed' last night with customers lined up for subs! Her store is mainly open Christmas Eve morning/afternoon - and closed Christmas Day. She has to report unusually EARLY Saturday to make up sandwich trays - her stack of orders is insane! lol BUT she is done by 1:00. DD18 is still at the Coffee/Bakery cafe (Tim Horton's) and they close Christmas Eve at 3:00. Here's hoping customers actually leave in order to let the employees out.
We are planning to attend Christmas Eve Mass at a new church this year - Carly and I are going an hour early to save seats. Hoping we can do this as I heard this church is very popular and all seats get 'saved' by the regulars making it tough for guests to find a pew.

Gabrielle - are you OFF today? I'm not sure I understand what "Employee Calls" entails...can you do this from home? Our school is in session today. Office Staff were supposed to be OFF the day before Christmas Eve if it's on a weekend but because the students will be there still Dragon Lady had to get creative so designated next Monday and Tuesday as our days 'off' for the Holidays. I'm off either way this year - haven't heard much yesterday from the Office other than the receptionist texting me that everyone was 'testy' and cranky.
How NICE your Christmas Eve sounds. After Mass (my DM always joins us) we head back to our house for a very nice 'fancy' late Dinner of ham, augratin potatoes, green beans, rolls, and yes, Polish Sausage. Wine. And I usually fancy up a punch for the girls to use fancy stem ware. This year Lindsey suggested European soda sold in one of our local stores - we all dress up nicely and later do a gift exchange with my DM.
Oh - did I tell you Girls, my DM wrecked her car, big time!! She was not injured. She was passing our busy Mall area and claimed a driver was 'just sitting in her lane' so she rammed into his backend. Hmmm? Was she pushing him along? lol WHY would you purposely ram into the back of a car that was clearly stopped? Her logic kills me. She felt totally justified in ramming into him as she felt he was wrong for just sitting there with no signal on - come to find out he was from out of town and trying to figure out which Mall entrance to use - his car had no damage. My Mother's car was nearly totaled!!! Of course she demanded DH give her a loaner from the car dealership but he was very kind and patient in explaining 'NO'. Once the parts for her car arrive THEN she can have a loaner or rental. LOL...my mother.

ENOUGH - sorry to hog the Board.... Jenny - that is a huge SHAME the disgruntled employee almost ruined bonus's for everyone. And what a mess his behavior caused - I hope the venue that hosted your Party charges him for damages. Enjoy the HOLIDAY!! I so hope you find time to just enjoy your family and friends Lisa - glad you are able to visit your Dad and finish up the Christmas shopping. DH and I rarely ever buy for each other. This year was different. Trying to focus on US a little more with the Girls being out of the house at school. He bought me a new Nook!! (Can't open it til Christmas) and I bought him a new haircut kit (really for me lol) and some much needed sweaters for him to wear to work. For years we always focused on just the Girls but this year I'm determined to include each other. Oh, and don't stress over DN getting the brochure project done - she is young and fresh out of training using the latest technology. I would not have had a clue how to handle the project - good for you letting her take it over - that's what SHE gets paid for, right? Don't be hard on yourself Okay, okay, I'm out of here...sorry so chatty....DRINKING lots of water over next few days and pacing myself with gift wrapping and house work. I made a list to help me feel productive.

Morning all...trying to read a bit and "chat" with Snapfish about the missing things I had ordered! One of which is my DM calendar! Once that gets straightened out, I'll be back to catch up a bit!!!

OK...Snapfish problems solved....I placed my order on 12/8/16 and it shipped as 5 individual shipments....two arrived, the other 3 are "lost in transit"...the woman I worked with said that if things are not delivered by the "estimated delivery date", the order is replaced at no charge and will be shipped overnight once completed...all three of the items had been sent for "re-submission" and will be on the way as soon as possible. While I'm disappointed that the gifts will be late, they "made it right" so I can't complain! I have always had great service from Snapfish and will continue to use them year after year!
Now...I have a 2nd cup of coffee, dishwasher is running so going to head back a couple days to catch up....I have been skimming the posts this week, but know I'm missing a lot of stuff! Jason is working until 3pm today and the only errand I have to run is to BJ's....will do that after I visit a bit with all of you!
Carole...you are right...with all the holiday hustle & bustle, my "planning" has shifted to the back burner again...I too have been doing OK but not great!! No one to blame but myself so I guess I'm the one that has to get me back on track again!!
Our Christmas menu is planned...
Brunch - waffles from scratch and sausage on the grill with some fresh fruit...tradition!!!
Whenever snacks....several dips and hors d'oeuvres. I've done my best to "skinny up" the ones I'm making....turkey kielbasa in sweet/sour sauce, Italian sausage dip (used turkey sausage & FF cream cheese), helluva good onion dip & chips (no skinnying up this one)...veggies & dip, cheese/bologna tray, fruit, cookies, candies & brittle...will just have to use moderation!!
Late lunch/dinner - meatballs w/sauce, baked beans, salad...there will be rolls & shredded cheese for those who want to make a sandwich...
That's it....

Carole...like Thanksgiving, I'm going to try and track at least most of Christmas...it's such a hard day for me since once we get up from the brunch table it's more of a "graze" kind of eating....crockpots are out and stuff is ready whenever anyone wants to much...no "formal" Christmas dinner! We like it that way, no muss, no fuss!!
We actually have no plans for Christmas Eve except church at 8pm....we will head down to Sarah's about 9:30 Christmas morning for the day...Josh's folks will come about 10:00am...DSM will come after lunch....Josh's sister & family will come mid to late afternoon...we will FaceTime with Hannah once Pat arrives....pretty low key day for us...just how we like it...no running here, there & everywhere! It used to always be at my house until Sarah & Josh had a couple boys...then it was just easier for the kids to do it there!! Yes, I have to lug a bunch of stuff down there, but it's much easier in the long run!
Oh Carole...sorry for all the work stress....amazes me that the bank lets this happen w/o some sort of reprimand...but then again, we know Kaitlin does "her own thing" anyway!! Glad Jessica and her baby are doing well!!
Christine...I can see from Carole's post the "prince" is still a PITA even on your leave!! Which knee did you have surgery on?? When I had my TKR I couldn't drive for over a month but it was my right knee...I'm hoping I can drive earlier with my left knee surgery...just need to be off pain meds! Glad the girls have been helping your out while your recupe!!
