Good Saturday Morning!
Happy Birthday, Carol! We've ordered the upcoming beautiful weather in honor of you. Enjoy your celebrations - you've earned them.
Lisa, I am a freelance bookkeeper. Its possible I never mentioned it in the past. Its a business I'm just getting up and running. I've been working at it for while (some additional certifications and so forth). I've been in the bookkeeping/accounting wold for about 25 years, so its just that I'm working for myself now. I hope my business is successful as yours. I am so envious of where you've gotten to with yours. What a success!
Pat, for the longest time the only cell phone I owned was a dumb-phone with the cheapest cell-service plan there was. It was for emergencies and the occasional text to DH (which is a handy way to communicate). When I quit my job a few years ago ("temporary retirement"), I had no cell phone, altho I had cell service on my iPad. The phone I have now was passed down from DH, so I didn't buy it. He needs one for work and got a new one. So my hand-me-down is not a new phone (iPhone 5). Its supposed to be a smartphone but it sure is dumb if it can't find its own cell service. LOL. Now, that business is picking up for me, I do need a working phone. Plus, it'll be a biz write-off.
The sun is coming up and the sky is BLUE. I can actually see it! No kidding. No clouds! Woo-hoo!

Health Goal: Take care of my mind with positive and healing thoughts; my body thru good foods and movement; and my soul thru meditation. Gratitude: for yesterday. I feel like I'm starting to catch up. (I don't do well when I'm overwhelmed with clutter and to-do's.)
As the storm churns the surface of the sea, the deep blue waters below the surface remain calm. Just as my life may appear hectic on the surface, I affirm that there is a place within me that is always harmonious and peaceful. I can go there when I choose.

affirmation - I am the light! health goal - Eat only worthy foods, thanks, Carol! fitness goal - walk the neighborhood later, lug plants and change out seasonal containers. Fitness report - rejuvenation pruned large viburnums for 2 hrs this am. My knees are mud! Lots of sawing.
I'm challenging myself to finish this in 2 hrs. 3 big planters, 2 small, 15' window box and 3' window box. What'da'ya think?
Susanne, would I love to hire you! Bookeeping is my least favorite task. I'm really trying to stay on top of it this year, as it completely overwhelms me. And I' sure your business will flourish! My own business is only very busy because the contractor who hires me as a freelance is crazy busy. Without him I would not be that busy.
Off to plant on this sunny day! yay!

Good morning, happy Sunday and especially a HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to Carol. Thank you for kicking off our weekend Suzanne - I can just feel spring and light in your post. I love your poem, too. I know your freelance business will be successful. Most of the law firms where I live pared down having a full-time bookkeeper and use freelance services now. Lisa, it sounds like you are in full swing. I also love the concept of "worthy foods." The Kundalini Lounge founder, Mariya Gancheva, is starting a 40 day spring detox challenge of eating only food in its natural state - even bread is processed, it sounds like a hard challenge. Yesterday was a complete recharge and renew day. Treated myself to a full hour Reiki at the yoga studio. We talked about what I'm attempting to work out in my mind and she gave me some really good tips for a bedtime ritual so I sleep better, and more good tips for reducing worry and fear during the day. And the treatment was wonderful. When I came out, the studio owner told me my niece was in the next room having a massage! After that I had a Speech Bowl and matcha tea at the vegan cafe and napped for over two hours. Daily Affirmation - Peace resonates throughout my body, mind and spirit. Fitness Report - pretty much all spiritual fitness. Health Goal - a home workout and perhaps a short walk. Gratitude - Reiki, family and friends.

PS - Carol, I also attended my WW meeting and weighed, knowing I would be up too. It was under three pounds, I'm back on track and can tackle that easily.

Good Sunday Morning, Angels! The other day I mentioned a lovely guided meditation I'd found (for those of you who don't meditate, just think of it as something really nice to listen to in the morning or anytime for that matter). I found it on Insight Timer but you can access it on Youtube. Its only about 8 minutes long. Link:🌷 Kabbalistic Good Morning Soul 🌷 For me, just a perfect way to start the day. Or restart a bad day.
Pat: you're right. I do think Spring, and especially the sunshine, is helping me. As well, having a few days to catch up on work from home helps my state of mind. You sound like you had an absolutely blissful day yesterday. I'm trying to remember where I got the quote I've been using at the bottom of my messages. I think its from Sarah Blondin of Live Awake.
Lisa: I would love to do your bookkeeping! How cool would that be. I never would have thought I'd like bookkeeping, but after years in retail, I found I liked working with information, second to designing nice displays in the store. Bookkeeping satisfies the left side of my brain; while gardening and interior design satisfy the right side. Do tell - what plants did you end up buying for your planters?
