Thanks for the start June. Lol to sticking a fork in the computer. Take a nice long break.
Yes Carl can have fun with those. He enjoys them and I'm happy he does.
Tomorrow we'll enjoy the chicken dinner that never happened today.
I shall continue to PTMH.

I will continue to PTMH. Movement will continue to be in the form of Leslie Sansone walks on YouTube. I'm not getting as many steps as if I walked outside but it is what it is for at least the next 6 days. At least I'm still moving.
Have a good night friends and prayers for all of us to stay warm and safe in this arctic blast. If I could find that groundhog I would probably strangle him.

June, Bob said the chicken was dried on a rack with a high hot wind and it was the impression of the rack. It was just fine though weird shapes. Tasted good. Thanks for the start. As you go to sleep, Iβm going to dinner.
I will walk before breakfast and PMTH as well as I can I am doing a 2 week Lose It challenge 2/14-2/28. Grocery shopping today at Trader Joeβs and The Market. Finishing the pile of stuff I never got to yesterday. Instead I watched Framing Brittany Spears on Hulu. Poor girl is bipolar. Dinner is steak, baked potato, salad and champagne and then a relaxing movie for me on Netflix. Bob is starting Breaking Bad on his tv. Iβve watched it. Happy day to all.

I can: Track, walk (40 minutes done), eat healthy, stay positive, hydrate, go to bed earlier than 3am tonight!
Nothing exciting to share. I have a book review to write, posted a review for a blog tour and have started another book while walking. I am keeping busy. Will talk to children and granddaughters this weekend.
We are eating leftovers today. I used hummus to make a wrap with onion, radish and arugula and had it with a soup made of leftover stuffed pepper mixed with a fava-garbanzo bean chili-stoup...it was good and low point.
JUNE: I am glad you have had your first vaccination. I heard that one of my friends in Beirut, American, is flying to the USA to see her sister BUT also to get her vaccination there as getting one here in Lebanon could take months. I would NOT fly internationally to get a shot against a virus I could easily pick up on the trip! Sorry about your student's death...sometimes life doesn't make sense. Hope you are doing okay with the grading!
MJ: I hope that you were able to turn everything off, put your to-do list away, and spend quality time with Toots!
ANN: I am glad you had a good night of sleep. I need to get to bed earlier BUT when I stay up a few nights late then it is not as easy to sleep early...Glad your shopping trip went well.
BEE: I hope your chili was delicious! Maybe your friend that cooks for you wants to "feed you up" so you can heal
LADONNA: I hope you find the perfect cereal/soup bowls if you do go out for Valentine's Day shopping. Are you thinking flat not so deep bowls or higher sided but smaller circumference bowls? Spaghetti and meatballs sounds delicious!
SUSI: I love the vision of you snuggling with your fur family...a nap might have been nice after shoveling!
AUDREY: How marvelous to have been pampered at the beauty salon AND to see a friend and catch up on all of her news. I know what you mean about talking about losses. Every time I think I have dropped for sure to a certain lower weight and claim it I seem to get cocky, make a food choice that is unwise or something...and it is back again. I know it will go again, too, but...almost a jinx to state a number! THAT said...I am still thankful I started the journey this time because if I had not...I would not be where I am this year but where I was last year...still.
BECKY: I hope the store you shopped at was not filled with people and just busy outside!
Is it cold where all of you live? It sounds REALLY cold in some places! Stay warm and safe!

Good morning
Ann LOL. . . about the chicken dinner that ever happened. Ours was the dinner of leftovers that never happened. Our chicken dinner was a surprised to me. R took it upon himself to make chicken stir fry w/ Jasmine rice.
Becky That's a good idea for adding some steps. Sansone is from my area. I Imagine that Phil would get a "warm" reception from many. What a winter. We will be in the mid to upper 20s. The bigger concern is that two storm systems are coming next..
Audrey That's an interesting piece of information that Bob shared. Who knew. Have you ever watched "Justified"? God luck with the Lose It challenge.

Good morning, June - Ann - Becky - Audrey - Bee - Cathy - LaDonna - Susi - Pam - and AWF! Prayers continue for you and your loved ones, and thank you for your prayers for me and mine... Extra prayers for any in the path of fire and storm(s)... and for those who need extra helpings of divine intervention at this time... and a few extra for all students whether IRL, virtual, or hybrid... and for those who mourn... and for peace in our nation. ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅ππ΅π We need to make a grocery run as early as possible. Tonight/tomorrow there's going to be another wintry-mix going on here in NJ, not to mention that it's Valentine's Day Weekend. Our needs are basic ones to get into the week ahead. After that? We had another sewer blockage yesterday so needed to have the line cleared all the way to the street. There's a bit more cleanup to do in the basement, and a bit of juggling in the bank account for this third major unexpected expense (sewer, furnace, sewer). There's a bit of "I wish we'd done the whole job in December" thinking (we had to have the house trap cleaned out then) but also a bit of relief that yesterday was at least not at weekend/holiday rates, as the earlier visit had been <!!!>. The rest of Saturday? There'll be knitting and ARCA and NASCAR Xfinity racing; the season is starting! Coffee... βοΈβοΈβοΈ... a warm house... more coffee... ππππππππππππππππππ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! ππππππππππππππππππRussπ€ΉββοΈStuff:We sent a fruit/snacks box from Capalbo's (no liquor, LOL! www.capalbosonline.com/ ) to Russell for his 76th birthday, which is today 2/13. We had it delivered on Friday on purpose, so that the regular staff (not the weekend crew) would be on duty and it would get to his room in a timely manner. We got the following e-mail, that included a photo, from Care Team Liz: "Russel was very happy when he received his package today, he seemed very happy and was excited to see all the different items inside the box! He was smiling and laughing, saying he isnβt feeling any younger, but appreciated the Birthday wishes!" *** *** ***Looking at the picture, we just feel sad. It makes it even more sad that these moments of "sort of normal" were few and far between even before A-L. Even when we were with him almost every day in the summer, he couldn't maintain "contact" with us. It's hard to explain, but there was something not quite "right" - like he only cared about others in the context of what others can do for him. <meh>. Like there was never any connection to his family. And then we'd get glimpses, and get all hopeful, and then it was back to nil. But today is his birthday and we've made sure to hold up OUR end of "family".

Cathy Your wrap sounds amazing. LOL. . . Becoming a night owl can creep up on you. I can easily follow into a late night pattern. I am oddly very programmable when it comes to sleep. Hope that you chat with your family this weekend. I will talk to my niece NYC. She works for a nonprofit funded by the wife ofthe CEO ofChase bank. Her group put together some plans for educational reform at the request of the Biden adm.
Wow. . . That is all that I can say about the internal. flight to secure a vaccine shot.

Mj Sending hugs. Was good that you could reach that "better part" of Russ andthe CareTeam could let you know. It is hard dealing w/ someone who has fallen into a pit of addictions. Those unexpected expenses stink.

Good morning all. Slept great and woke up refreshed once again. Still working on curbing the night owl in me LOL.....old habits die hard! I'd be happy to be in bed before midnight. Tonight I'll have another shot at it Cathy enjoy talking with your family. Again your hummus sounds delish. We were also thrilled to be in and out of the shops yesterday scoring all that we needed. LOL June...you had my chicken dinner Love stir fry. Bet it was tasty. MJ so sorry about the additional expense the sew blockage brought. I can relate to 'family issues' and I know that you and Toots will step to the plate and make it as happy a bday as possible. Today I woke up to 10 degrees with the real feel of 0! Not sure what's up with those infamous goose eggs!!!! Should it warm up, I shall walk. Waving...and wishing all a pleasant OP day.

Decided to bundle up and take that hood walk. Actually it wasn't as bad as I thought. The sun is bright and it's not windy so that helps.

Yes, June, it was worth it till I tried to sleep last night. LOL
Ann, your dinner sounds like a good one, albeit a day late.
Becky, we have bad weather for about a week happening down this ay. Stay warm and do what you can.
Audrey, hope you get it all done.
Cathy, sounds like a plan, and it is cold here also. My friend has always hated to cook, but her husband loves to eat. Got her an InstaPot, and is going nuts. LOL
MJ, sorry to hear about more sewer stuffs. Glad Russ received the gift box well.
I do not do many dairy products --- yesterday I had more than I have had in months in that 1 bowl of soup. BUT, yes, it tasted delicious..
Last night Clyde had so much gas that it was popping like firecrackers. Every time I heard it I thought the bag has burst.
Surely I am gonna have to take a nap. LOL
Hope ALL have a great day!
