I have 52 affirmations and will put one out there every week for us to consider or choose one of your own. I will also include a habit we might want to consider adopting OR we can choose one of our own that we want to work on. Basically this is a spot to talk if anyone wants to  or just to see what might be an idea to use during the week. Week 7 of 2021
Affirmation: I am aligned with my higher self.
Habit: Put on some mascara even if you work from home. You don’t need to look like Charlize Theron in Monster, even if nobody sees you. (this one’s obviously ONLY for me)
AND
Stretch after every few hours.

Being aligned with one's higher self...had to go look that up and it took me down a wormhole of how to align with, what it is, etc.
This is the most constant definition of Higher Self Higher self is a term associated with multiple belief systems, but its basic premise describes an eternal, omnipotent, conscious, and intelligent being, who is one's real self.
How do you become your highest self?
Do the things you love the most, follow your heart, your passions, and your dreams. Look for meaning in your actions and purpose in whatever direction you decide to follow. Those are what will lead you to your simple truth, which is the path to your higher self and to becoming the divine being you were meant to be.
How does my Higher Power communicate with me?
Just Listen. If you open your ears, you may hear your Higher Power talking to you through other people. Listening to people say things that are serendipitous to what you are going through can guide you. This direction will occur when you are open-minded and going with the flow with others.
And connecting with it: Well, it seems meditation, nature, exercise, healthy eating, good sleep, journaling, mindfulness, living with intention...the list goes on
I need to ponder this one...I kind of feel we are who/what we are and wonder if we really have "lower" and "higher" selves...hmmm...
MASCARA? I have not worn mascara for a LONG time...maybe for a long past zoom event...maybe? I think mine is expired after so many months at home during the pandemic!
Stretching...need to set the timer and get up, do stretches, etc...
