Last day of the school week. I will walk in the morning, and then I will help Leo after breakfast. Bob wants to dine outdoors for lunch so we will do that and have dinner at home. Mary has made the ESports team at school playing Minecraft on the computer. She is 11 but fairly new to the game so I told her that her 6 and 8 year old cousins Theo and Leo can video chat with her and explain what she doesn't know. Rob says it's a great way for her to be on a team and get to know other students from her grade on line even if they are not with each other in person. March birthdays are my close friend Charlotte on the 3rd, Nora on the 4th and granddaughter Charlotte on the 30th. I have to organize what I bought for them and finish odds and ends, which never really have an ending, at home. Stay warm and safe and have a good day.

Thanks for the prayers friends.
HEB was open today but there were waiting lines 2 hours outside before they got inside to find mostly empty shelves. We aren't even going to attempt going there until they get better stocked. There is a little Mexican market on our way into Elgin. If the line isn't too bad outside and can get in the parking lot we will start there. Walmart may be open tomorrow as the management staff went in to assess to see what needed to be done to get ready to open. The main problem has been lack of water for produce, frozen food section, etc in order for stores to open. I don't even care if we don't find fresh meat. I am hoping to find enough shelf stable food and maybe frozen or can fruit and canned beans to go along with the ground beef our neighbor gave us that she had frozen since October. We know we have been fully blessed and only 2 more below freezing temps to go this week. We will take it slow and easy to get to town tomorrow.
I figured out my tummy issues were from junk food. Our neighbors have been wonderful and we couldn't have made it without them but along with essentials we also got a lot of junk food like chips, cookies, graham crackers(which unfortunately I rekindled my like of graham crackers) and I'm just not used to the extra sugar and junk. I am hoping to find healthier food tomorrow.
Good night sweet friends.

Becky, Mark Bittman just published a book I bought called Animsl Vegetable Junk. At least you had food even if your stomach reveled. I can feel it when I eat too much of the food. A girls soccer team from Fresno got stranded in Texas and couldnโt fly home so they have been living on food from a convenience store and there was one little restaurant open that they could go to for just basic food one meal a day. Itโs crazy but sounds like the stores are really trying to open as soon as they safely can.

I can keep doing what is working...today's weight <<169.8>> happy dancing to keep warm and celebrate today! I have left THE LONG WINDING ROAD of the 170's behind and am entering the 60's and I'M A BELIEVER that I will reach the 150's before too long!
JUNE: Lots of good memories...even without the caftan or the Mexican wedding dress or any of the other items that would bring memories if still in the house I am thankful that you had two lovely appreciative thankful emails today...so nice when someone reaches out to compliment/reward effort! I will take another hot soak in the tub but not till we have sunshine to heat the water again... Enjoy the bubble bath!
ANN: Glad you are prepared for whatever weather finds you! How delightful to have sparkly fingernails and to have enjoyed the manicure.
SUSI: Your meal options ALL sound tasty to me! I am glad you and Lily were willing to take the food to the feral cats even in inclement weather. I hope Carol made it home safely!
LADONNA: It sounds like you were "safe" during the Ash Wednesday service and have wonderful plans for the season. I am thankful you and the women in the same office with you are cautious and that those outside your office follow your protocol if they want to talk to you! Lucy IS part of your family AND...I am in the 60's!
BECKY: (((HUGS))) as I continue to read will hope that the mothers will find food, water will be sufficient and food will appear. It is perfectly normal to be feeling emotional - just wish things would improve for you - glad you have had some heat! I am THRILLED to hear the situation is going to improve tomorrow!
BEE: I remember buying liver and trying to cook/eat it...it was tough and not my thing at all. Chicken liver is easier to manage than beef, that's for sure!
AUDREY: You are such a giving person...thank you for looking and sending the seeds if you find them. Make sure that sending seeds is allowed...it should be but who knows? You made me laugh about the seeds walking or flying...might be a slow boat instead How exciting for Mary to have made the esports team and how nice for Leo to be able to help her if she needs it...I am sure it will be good for both of them! It will be fun having three birthdays to celebrate in March! What stories the Fresno Girls' Team will have to tell when they get home...stranded and how they survived
MJ: Hope you enjoyed the snow and it did not create problems for you. I know shoveling is HARD work...glad you have energy to do it!

I'm happy dancing with you. Becky I can so relate to tummy issues caused from eating out of your comfort zone. Praying that your HEB and Walmart open soon with well stocked shelves and that you and Kenneth can get there ((((((((hugs))))))))) Bee praying your temperatures warm up. Becky you surely have a lot of bday celebrations in March. Enjoy them all Waving to all and shall CBL

Good morning, June - Ann - Bee - Audrey - Becky - Cathy - LaDonna - Susi - Pam - and AWL!
Prayers continue for you and your loved ones, and thank you for your prayers for me and mine...
Extra prayers for any in the path of fire and storm(s)... and for those who need extra helpings of divine intervention at this time... and a few extra for all students whether IRL, virtual, or hybrid... and for those who mourn... and for peace in our nation.
๐๐ต๐๐ต๐๐ต๐๐ต๐
Ice. Not nice. It rained overnight so this is a "top coat" to whatever is already on the ground. It is going to make the day interesting, for sure.
Lots of prep today for tomorrow's YM meeting. So far, it's still "on".
Coffee... โ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ... hot coffee...
๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ Be well! Have a healthy-eating day, all! ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐
Russ๐คนโโ๏ธStuff: There is a new charge on the Bank of America card for McAfee, probably for the new computer. Of course, just a couple of months ago there was a bigger charge for Norton antivirus for an annual subscription on the other computer. <meh>. More concerning are the two $89.00 charges to "Stock Secrets, Inc." on the CapitalONE card. I've gone back into his CapONE statements this morning and see that this has been a Feb charge for a while - so hopefully it is just an automatic renewal, but why twice? I think I will see if both charges shift from PENDING to paid, and then have Toots "play Russell" so we can challenge one as a duplicate payment, if necessary.
So there's nothing to be done today, or over the weekend either.

Good morning
Becky That level of anxiety is unimaginable. Hope that the saltines soothed your stomach. Thank you for understanding that I was desperate to help in some way. I searched online & called a friend in TX looking for any way to get help to you. I hit brick wall after brick wall. Will continue to pray. That kind of petty drama is harder when your struggling with something Bigger. Mj That sleet on top of snow is the worst. I know that you will be careful when shoveling. That can be a lot weight per shovelful. We have an inch or more of ice skimmed over by snow. We shoveled a clear path to the detached garage & salted with Ice Melt that is good to -20. Hope that your YM and any other paperwork go smoothly.
Audrey Hope that you have a good day ahead of you. You always seem to know about so many good cookbooks. Thanks for sharing.
Bee Stay as warm as you can. Your recipe for liver sounded yummy. . . If you love liver as you do.
Cathy I agree. It does not take much to tap into a beautiful moment in life. What did your Mexican wedding dress look like? Not too long ago, my twin and I planned to marry -- wait for it... Popeye and Bliuto.
Yes, it is nice to read a note of appreciation and recognition as a teacher. The amount of work to teach acourse without a textbook remotely to a diverse student population is insane. That said, I am in a better place now than I have been since last spring or fall.

Good morning all. June - I'm glad you are in a better place with the teaching. Thanks for the start. Ann - I wish we would get light powdery snow. I did multiple passes with the slush so that I didn't have any heavy stuff at the end. I'm sure Carl can't wait to get out there with his toys! Bee - Hope you enjoyed your liver. Sounded really good! Audrey - Congratulations to Mary. Glad her cousins can help her. Enjoy your lunch out. Becky - I can't even imagine how you are feeling. I do remember that sick feeling in my stomach after Sandy. I just sat and stared and cried. I was without power for 11 days. Fortunately after a couple of days I was able to stay with my sister. And a friend stopped by so I could charge my phone (my car was dead). It's not surprising your body rebelled between the stress, family drama and not normal foods. Cathy - Congrats on the scale victory! You have been doing great working through the plateaus Yuck on the ice MJ. We are just getting rain but the roads still have a lot of slick spots. Stay safe. Hope you get Russ credit card situation straightened out. I went out periodically yesterday to keep moving the slush. The plow came through around 5 and the guy did a great job of clearing to the curb without dumping it all at the end of mine and my neighbor's driveway as we are in the cul-de-sac and are normally left 8-10 feet from the curb. I only had a few "boulders" to clear. I did go to the gym this morning (along with a 8 other crazy ladies that I work out with). Roads were fine but parking lot was a mess. We have a delayed opening and I am still leaving early but not a half day. I have all my tax stuff ready to drop at the accountant. Just waiting on when and where (house or office). I'm planned and tracked. Leg of lamb for dinner with planned leftovers for gyros tomorrow and/or Sunday.

I weighed in today, and am below the weight I was entering the hospital for surgery on OCT. 9TH. That means I have lost over 20#s since being home. Unless their weigh scale was wrong.

Bee, donโt fade away with more weight loss I think my neighbor had gone from a 14 to a 10 with all of the stress she had this year. Politics and the coronavirus are at the bottom of the pile with her one daughterโs health issues and her son losing his job and rental home in NJ, moving to WA after their second child was born premature in Fresno. The important thing Bee is how do you feel? June, by the time you perfect virtual learning youโll be back in person. MJ, you and the YM are tough to do your events in freezing weather. Last night I bought face cream for me and board shorts for Mary and Charlotte at 11 pm. so I understand Russโ credit card patterns. Do you think he forgot he had virus protection and signed up for the second one? Norton and McAfee are keeping him from those Russian and Chinese hackers. Cathy I bought sugar snap pea and tiny green pea seed from the landscape nursery from a company called Lakeland. Each one matures in 60-62 days and they were the last packages available. Iโll mail them today. Susi, Iโm glad the snowplow did a good job. We live on a slightly raised street so the rain goes downhill and the cul de sac at the bottom, which is private not city, has rain accumulation and leaves clogging the drains. Itโs something you donโt know when you buy a house. We were lucky.
