This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here!

Good morning! Janet, how is this partner even still employed? I am sorry for your trouble. Enjoy Olive Garden today! Lora, it's going to be a fun hike for sure, no matter the cold. Stay safe, and be sure that that hot coffee is ready to do its trick when you get home. I bet it'll be beautiful with the wintery look out there. Your fog the other day sounds pretty. I love it. Some mornings I have fog for some of the drive, and it is calming - for some reason. RobinMD, I hope you had a good safe drive to work yesterday. I bet it was beautiful. Susie, the ice is just not as fun as snow. Glad your power is staying on! RobinS, did you get your ultrasound rescheduled? All that shoveling sure is major APs. Hope you have a quiet weekend. Jana, are you and Zeke back home? It sounds like such a fun spontaneous necessary get away, that ended up heavenly. Right now it's a brisk 42 degrees here... so I'll be bundled up on our outings today. I think it should get up to 60 later today. Right now I have a load in the laundry that I am getting ready to take to my favorite consignment boutique here. I don't even know if they'll take them or how it works. But I do know I like going there, and they have nice things. Maybe I'll go there today??? We are going to a local diner for our date today. I plan on having eggs and pancakes. (still on the bland diet) Or I might try grits. I have NEVER had grits, so I might be adventurous today. We'll go to church this evening, and then probably watch some TV. DH and I started watching Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist last night which was enjoyable. I did have my WI today and I lost 4 this week, which totally makes sense because of all the chicken broth I've had. But I have not exercised this week and I've enjoyed a lot white bread, crackers, peanut butter and rice this week, so I know the scale is certainly not telling the whole story this time. But, it was fun to see that number! I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday!

Hi Everyone,
Jill, I dont know really about how she still has a job especially with the director we have now. Maybe her threats are more bark than bite but I believe her when she says she will write someone up because I heard about one coworker recently that didnt have access to some technology to send her this certificate that she has been asking her for but she had just finished taking the class because she was having difficulty passing it. My partner had received the information about the same certificate and just recently been working on it and I think just finished or almost done and although I know that our director has been hounding her for it I dont that she was written up for it.
Before meeting my friend to go for lunch I plan to go to the bank. I never got a chance to call yesterday about the other charges from Walmart and there is this really nice guy there that I hope will help me with opening the investigation into it. He might have to be at the counter though. He is very nice though and always remembers my name. And very attractive..lol!
I hope you are feeling better Jill. I know that when I have had my colonoscopies they say that I have diverticulitis.
Lora, I hope that you get to go hiking even if it's on the chilly side. Did you get one of those garments to keep your cheeks and face warmer ? ( I forget what it was called)
Have a great day!!

Happy Saturday,
Lora, I sure hope you get that hike in today! After the crazy weather here and working from home so much, I feel a little cabin-fevered myself.
Jill, good job on the 4 lbs. I hope you are feeling a lot better by now.
Janet, I agree with Jill....how is this person still holding the job? I sure wouldn't cover for her. She is lazy.
Susie, I hope you didn't get too much ice from the storms. Did you get your morning workout in?
Jana, I hope all is well at your house, too. I am taking Forrest to the vet this morning, just for his routine shots. HA! He will bark all the way there, and the whole time we are in the parking lot, all while wearing his little turquoise diaper... After that, I don't have a lot of plans. It is not going to get out of the 20's today, but lots of sunshine will be nice to see. I will try to get the dogs a walk in the field later. It is great exercise to walk in the snow! I will be back, just need to get the back seat ready for the big guy's trip to the vet. Have a great day, everyone,
RobinMD

Hello Everyone....it is cold, but the SUN IS SHINING!
Jill - wow - great weight loss...from the diverticulitis restrictions? All that broth must have helped, but I cannot imagine how all the bread, etc did - hey, we'll take it -right? I love grits. When DH and I go to Cracker-Barrel, I get one egg and turkey sausage. He gets a big breakfast and gives me the grits! Have you ever had hominy?
Janet - you made me smile talking about the helpful AND attractive guy...anything that brightens your day helps - right? Enjoy Olive Garden!
RobinMD - I haven't been to my ex class since WED - they were all cancelled....but I am signed up for M - W- TH-F next week....we'll see if any are cancelled. I bet it is a real trip taking the dogs to the vet - ha!! Hey, that is probably exercise in itself!
Waving to everyone!! Maybe I will try to take a walk since the sun is out.

Lunch was good and I have a lit bit left for dinner..( eggplant parmesan) Except for the soup and drink my friend and I both ordered the eggplant parm. She gave me a box of lemon girl scout cookies.
I went food shopping after as I needed some things. I decided to buy the chicken to make the bourbon chicken recipe I have been thinking of trying. I did buy that sesame oil before and never even opened it looked at the date and it had expired in July 19. I bought a new bottle and at least this time I will use some of it and if I like it I can can make it again. If bourbon wasnt availablev it said to use apple juice. I really would have preferred to buy a small bottle of it but didnt find any small bottles and the big bottle was probably cheaper than buying a smaller bottle anyway.
Cassie of course is settled on my lap sleeping for now but will have to disturb the Highness when I need to charge my phone. Lol! Robin Md, hope the doggies got their zombies outside. Sometimes Cassie does her inside zoomies.

Janet, our cat used to do zoomies in the house, and leap in surprise at the girls when they would run down the hallway. Too bad about the cute guy! We have to have things to look forward to, don't we! HA Susie, better weather is coming! I tried to take the dogs around the field, but the snow has such a crusty layer of ice that I was a little worried it would tear up their paws (and they aren't smart enough to figure that out until the damage is done)... I didn't end up doing much after I got home with Forrest. I am making a big batch of chili right now. I put in a couple of different kinds of beans and a big jar of my canned tomatoes....the fresh tomato smell is making me hungry! I have been eating really well and can't wait to see if it has made any difference. I have added some exercise to my routine, but with all the snow my outside time has really been limited. I have a nice fire going and a glass of Moscato. I might watch something on Netflix and go to bed a little bit early. I hope everyone is having a really nice weekend. Waving to all! RobinMD
