I'm IN. Today is starting 20 degrees warmer than yesterday. 46 is much better than the 26 we had on Saturday. We're expecting to get to 70 today and I'm happy about that. I'll be washing up the plastic storage totes that DH and DSIL pulled out from our attic. After they are clean, I'll post pictures of them on my neighborhood FB page. I'm sure many people will want them for their own use. (fingers crossed they are all taken today)
I'm grilling chicken today and baking sweet potatoes. We had a great fried fish dinner last with DD and her family. DSIL is also a great cook. We're blessed to have them close enough to us.
Have a lovely day, y'all.

Good morning.
It was 9 degrees this morning, now up to a bright and sunny 25 degrees.
Power has been out for hours due to an accident on a nearby road. The generator kicked in and has been humming along since then. I love that thing. The estimate on when power will be restored keeps changing but it looks like maybe sometime this afternoon.
Nothing on the agenda today except a the usual scullery maid chores.
My sister in Texas (north of Dallas) went back to her home and there was no damage but they have to still boil water. She's grateful for being spared the grief that so many in Texas are suffering now.
Wishing all a peaceful day.

Good bright and sunny morning that's above freezing!! Cleaning house today, just trying to get back into my normal groove. Ron got called out to work today, so I can get stuff done without him underfoot lol.

Oh we're still under the boil water advisory, but you can bathe, wash dishes (as long as you rinse them in boiling water) -everything but drink it. A couple of the other cities lifted their advisory, hoping ours is soon, too.

The generator kicked in and has been humming along since then. This is the main thing I asked the contractors about that they totally blew off, when I was at studs it would have been the perfect time to get it done. They also didn't have the phone company come out to redo the lines or the cable company. π€― Good morning all! 70 heavenly degrees today ππ just going to stand out in the sun to warm up. Thanks for the start MJ. I am IN. Have a great day everyone. βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ

This is the main thing I asked the contractors about that they totally blew off, when I was at studs it would have been the perfect time to get it done. Deb, we had it done post-construction and it was no big deal. They do have to make a hole through the house wall but again, no big deal for them. One day installation. Bestest thing we ever did, if only for the peace-of-mind factor. We could have opted for having one put in when we were under construction but I didn't care for the only one that the builder offered and he was getting way too big a kickback for it.

I'm in, planned and tracked. It's sunny and 32 but without wind it feels much warmer.
