Please join me in giving a shout out to all our supermarket employees for the hard work they do to keep our grocery shelves stocked. I am so thankful for these essential employees. Thank you!👍🎉🙋❤️😄

I always tell the workers in the store THANK YOU and if I see the store manager I tell him how great his team is (this is in the Meijer store I do personal shopping out of). It really does make them smile!
THANK YOU ALL!!

neen I also shop at a Meijers store here in our town and just love shopping there, employees are really nice and so helpful. Does Meijers have curbside pickup and delivery to homes? What can you tell me about these services as I've been thinking about using one of them instead of going into the store? I know kind of late in Covid but may need delivery if DD can't do my shopping. Does anyone get curbside or home delivery from Walmart or Aldi's and can give me some information on their services? I'm thinking about getting my Covid shot at Meijers, wondered where everyone is getting their Covid shots at? Did you get any side effects from the shot if you got it? My DD said they are telling people to take pain medicine especially on the second shot to prevent side effects after the shot?

What can you tell me about these services as I've been thinking about using one of them instead of going into the store? I've been doing curbside pickup from a large supermarket chain in my area. I had been using their home delivery service previously. I really miss going into stores to shop for myself, but I'm not going into any stores now and haven't been since last March. I like the curbside pickup. I order online and select a pickup time - like making an appointment - for a day and time. The time gives me a one hour window in which to pick up. When I get to the store, there are a few designated parking spots in the lot, and they are numbered. There are signs that give a phone number to call. I have to give my name and the number of the spot that I'm in, and within a couple of minutes my groceries are brought out to my car and placed in the trunk. I don't have to get out of my car, and I don't have to do anything with my credit card - I've already paid on my account when I order. There's a service charge of $3.00 for this service. I do find that very often items that I ordered are not available. This is the down side of shopping this way. I've been told that with Target curbside pickup, they tell you when your order is ready and then you can pick it up when you decide to go there. I assume there's a few days in which to pick up. The clerks who bring my order out to my car are always very pleasant. Yay for store clerks who do such good work in the store and outside.

mac, I use both curbside (usually no charge from Kroger or HEB or Walmart), sometimes delivery -the charges vary like Kroger is 9.95, HEB is $5 and walmart is $17 (because they never have open times, you are forced to use their "express" option) plus the tip for the delivery.

A big shoutout to HEB employees in Texas. They have kept things moving after the storm unlike our local Walmart. They have even suspended pickup and delivery so they can take care of all their customers.

mac, I'm not sure about your specific Meijer's but yes they do have curb side and delivery. You should be able to see at meijer.com what services they offer. The curb side is shopped by Meijer employees (if ordered through meijer.com) and the delivery is shopped and delivered by Shipt shoppers (if ordered through meijer.com or Shipt). I have found it is easy to order in either platform. I am a Shipt shopper and I love it and love (most) of my customers! I think Aldi's curb side and delivery is handled by Instacart. I do curbside pick up for my own groceries from Payless (Kroger). I hate shopping for myself but love doing it for others!

mac, I've been doing curbside pickup with the chain Stop & Shop here in Connecticut for the last few weeks and I like it. (No Choice, my husband decided he didn't want me going into stores anymore.) I order through their website and pick a date and time for pickup and pay. You have up to a certain time to change your order. I'm always adding things to it. Get to the store and call, give my name and which parking spot I'm in, and in just a few moments they are out with the groceries. Sometimes they don't have what I ordered which is frustrating. Sometimes they give me substitutes and sometimes not. If you did it by yourself you would have to be able to get the groceries in from the car.
