Cathy, it is reported over ere also, but nothing seems to be done about anything.
Susi, the unidentifiable stuff is all on the door. I may just chunk it all and start over. LOL I really do not have a lot of anything in my freezer, some soups. Haven't got to the freezer yet. Waiting to hear when I can go meet the new great-grand.
I was able to lift my feet high enough today to climb my front steps. I was amazed! May do it two times tomorrow, if able. Sat out in the sun and soaked up some rays.

Lunch at my desk again - interesting I know KOKO - Cathy, I get 30 mins for lunch so I usually bring something but we do have refrigeration and microwaves as well as a stove and toaster oven. Also glad they were called out! June, three squares sounds like a great plan and the water, too. I have trouble with both so I need to follow your lead. Did you go for the boots? Ann, headache and tummy free along with sun sounds like a win win and another win ::)Hope you and Lula are finding fun things to do together while Carl is doing errands. Becky, so glad you got your water fixed! Glad u Texans are hanging in there! It is what it is and we just never know what we will have to face. Our state went thru something similar quiet a few years back. My kids were young but SC had an ice storm and so many people lost power completely. No rolling - just out. We were among those that did but thankfully ours was restored in about two days. We were very lucky as some were out for weeks. Thankfully we had gas logs and other portable propane heaters so we were warm and had plenty of food that we could grill, etc. Our well water shut down so that was a pain but like I said mine was not out near as long as others. Audrey, 5000 is what I ended yesterday with, too. Enjoy your day with more time. MJ, glad that was resolved at the mtg - what is hayday at the farm? HBD to Mousekteer! Bee, so glad you were able to get those "high steps" in AND enjoy the sun...BIG HUGS Susi, very cute pic! enjoy your nice, clean home. Pam great to see u.

Bee - That's awesome!!! You are making strides. LaDonna - 30 minutes isn't long at all. I get an hour. I walk for 25-30 of it (weather permitting) and eat and do personal work at my desk for the remaining time. The cleaning company called. My team called out sick today and they are booked solid next week. I told them to just come back in 2 weeks. Guess what I'm doing this weekend?

what is hayday at the farm? This is a horse farm and the owners buy their hay for animal feed and bedding. They would have had enough to run closer to the end of March except for how miserable the grazing has been, due to the snow and ice. So we are going to be driving to the hay barn, loading up a truck, and bringing it back to the farm to stock them up now. And we have to clean out the stables where we'll be sleeping, and then help with feeding the animals. On Sunday we'll remove all trace of ourselves before we head home noon-ish.

Well I'm done having my 'domestic fun' Wanted to take advantage of getting things done the way I like to do it...SOLO lol. I just got out of the shower. That felt good. Bee that is great news. You are coming along at a good pace. I bet soaking up that Vitamin D felt good Hope you get to meet the great-grand soon I vote to chuck it all! Then again I am the queen of heave! LaDonna when I worked at the City we had an hour and 15 minutes for lunch plus two 15 minute breaks. I would have rather taken short time and gotten out earlier. To me 30 minutes is more than ample. Susi that stinks that your cleaning crew called out. I guessed what you'll be doing this weekend I just have to fold towels and this chick is done for the day. Will CBL if I'm awake LOL

diva49, Oh that's so nice to help distribute the hay and especially help clean. Do you take cots to sleep on? And do you wear throw disposable clothing? Hence the "removing all traces" - seems like it would be easier. Susi, If I got longer I'd likely take a walk too but its just enough time to eat and do a few personal online things. Sorry about the cleaning crew not coming. Ann, Like you, I like it like it is with the thirty mins. My hours are 8-4 which is great. Its a 37.5 work week. Great job getting things done your way!

Bob said all National Guardsmen have cots and didn't understand why they were sleeping on the ground at the Capitol. He said that is not always true for the Marines or Army. Hay bales will not give you a good night's sleep. They are uncomfortable.
Cathy, in Marin and Southern CA smart rich people have gotten access to the codes for making appointments on line and stealing spots that should go to other people. In good news high school and college students everywhere are helping seniors get spots because their computer skills are faster. That's why I always asked Rob to get concert tickets I wanted and he could get them before they sold out.
Afternoon errands are happening so no time for more personals but all is good.

A dear friend of mine just emailed me. Her SIL is 87 years old and still has not gotten the first shot! What happened to her was they ran out of vaccines and called her and told her they would call within a few days to reschedule. When they did...someone put her name at the END of the list and this poor woman needs to wait another month or so until her name pop up again. Things like that just SHOULD not happen. Unfortunately it does....... Susi now I have that 'song' in my head LOL....Those are great hours. City Hall's hours were 8:30-5:00! A long day for sure. I would have loved getting out at 4 to avoid the 5 o'clock madness! Now I'm just happy to be retired Carl got the oil changed and tired rotated. Because it is his 'bday month' the dealership didn't charge him for the rotation. I thought that was so nice of them. While he was at Market Basket the cashier was extremely slow and having a heck of a time.....that being said Carl was charged twice for paper towels. They have a phone number on the receipt but I wasn't about to call and complain. Not knowing their 'store policy' that man could have lost his job or had the price deduced from his pay. 14.99 isn't going to make or break me. I'll leave it alone...especially getting the freebie on the car being serviced!

Susi, those are spoiling hours, that and getting to take lunch breaks walking the beach. Audrey, love that students are helping with the Senior appts. very cool Ann, that is sweet of you to think of the cashier's welfare and pay it forward. you just never know what another person is going thru. Randy is going to see one of his dear friends tomorrow that has been placed on hospice. He has been talking to him a good bit via phone but has not visited him in the hospital/care facilities. He has been sent home to live out his days with his brother and SIL.

Audrey I hope you enjoyed your lower key day. You deserve one with all you do.
Ann Yes it did feel like winning the lottery. Our handyman didn't charge that much either so we added another $10 to his check because he worked really hard getting it fixed. I am glad you feel better today. I agree on being messy following snow/ice. Now we are expecting a few days of light rain.
Nice to see you Pam.
MJ I'm glad you got the YM problem settled. Happy Birthday to the Mousketeer. Continued prayers for Jeanne and Neal.
Cathy There is also preferential treatment for the vaccine here. People who aren't 65 or have compromised systems are still getting vaccines. The US government all got their vaccines early. Thanks for the compliment. The necklace is one of the ones I bought at the Zoom jewelry party. I was one of 2 people selected for free jewelry and I'm getting another necklace.
Bee I know some people who had the same problem. What a mess. Thank goodness our heater still works.
Susi The shower was amazing. Yea on going home to a nice clean house. Lily is so adorable.

Becky thoughtful of you and Kenneth to give the handyman a tip. I bet he appreciated your kindness.

Bee Great job on walking up the steps. You are getting stronger every day.
LaDonna I'm sure that was scary when your kids were younger. We were without power 6 hours one day and 7 hours the next day and then with the rolling outages every 20 minutes the power would be off for 40 minutes. At least we had the propane heater. I lived in sweats and under 2 blankets. They showed a woman in Austin who said she was without power for 4 days. The Austin Fire Chief gave out his cell number on the news and he said he felt so bad for the people they couldn't get to. He received 400 calls and said he can still hear the calls in his ears. I considered the days without water was a minor inconvenience compared to the other problems.
Susi I'm sorry your cleaning crew couldn't make it. What a bummer.
MJ I take it you are talking about square bales not the big round bales for sleeping on. Even the square bales would not be comfortable because of the sting or wire they are held together with.
Ann That is terrible about the 87 yo woman. Sadly that is happening more and more. I don't know how some of the people who aren't even 65 are getting their vaccines but it's happening in TX too. That's terrible about the cashier possibly losing his job or getting the money taken out of their paycheck if you had called.
LaDonna Prayers for Randy's dear friend.
There is a meteorologist in Austin who has worked for the same channel for 30 years. After tomorrow's news he will be semi retired. The Austin City Council declared today Jim Spencer Day after the meteorologist. The council woman who recommended it has watched him since she was 5 years old. The declaration was because he has gotten a lot of people to safety through his years of forecasting. I am so happy for him. He is what we call good people. The man who is taking his place on the evening news started at age 18 as an intern and was mentored by Jim Spencer and will do a great job. He will still forecast from time to time when there are major weather events but he said he wants to pursue other things now. I can't imagine forecasting weather at the same channel for 30 years.

Today I was home by 12:30 and then gone 2-4:30. I picked up donations from Carolyn and added it to mine to take to the Assistance League thrift store not close to home but I did not want to do it tomorrow. Then I bought the champagne for our friend who helped us get the shots and try to deliver it but no one was home and I wasn’t sure if he was at work or out of town so I went back and brought it home with me to bring to the office tomorrow. Bee, continued great progress Susi, your cleaning team sounds like someone has or has been exposed to Covid. That’s what happen when mine were out. And almost every site has extra vaccines at the end of the day and so if someone can take your 87-year-old friend and figure out how to schedule an appointment or get that extra vaccine she really needs to go to the front of the line and I’m disappointed that her doctor can’t help her.
