Happy Day All!
Just have a few minutes before need to eat and get ready for dr appointments. Wanted to tell y'all yesterday we decided to procrastinate! We were both so overwhelmed by the cleaning that needs to be done, DH proposed we just wait until the FL room is done and then hire someone to come in and clean the entire place including the stuff in the cabinets, and put new shelf paper, etc. We found the concrete dust had gotten inside all the kitchen cabinets. There shouldn't be more concrete dust, but there will be lots more dust everywhere when they do that room - even though he's supposed to seal it off. So, I'm going to wait until then to put all the 6 boxes of knick knacks back in the hutch, curio etc. He's going to tear the whole back wall off the FL room - about 36 feet. It's a mess.
I think it was BettyJ who said if you want to get rid of stuff, move every few years (or twice in two). We've been in this house 34 years. Boy, am I going to throw stuff out. Already did a lot when they packed us up. Also going to go ahead and give the boys and my nieces and nephew the stuff we'll never again use - if they want it.
Spent too much time already - longwinded as ever! Gotta go - Cheers!

Good morning Penny & ATF,
Sunny day! Currently it's 39; the high will be 45.
Just when things are going good with my life, the car has to start acting up. I'm not a mechanic but I think something is going on with my radiator & thermostat so today Ed is going to see if a friend (mechanic) can look at it. If I take a 10 year old car (even a new one) to the dealer it will be an expensive job....it may still be. So I'm going to be trapped in the house again.
I did get to Walmart yesterday and bought a case of water and a pair of pants. Nothing exciting!! Did not enjoy myself but I did get some activity points walking around.
Heard from the lab who is sending a phlebotomist to my house to draw blood for the antibodies. They are coming march 9. By the time they get here the antibodies may be gone and so will my chances of getting the vaccine.
I think that is a great idea about a cleaning crew after the Florida room is completed. My nephew did that after his home was built and they were happy. I didn't after our fire and we rebuilt; we tasted and felt plasterboard dust for a long time. I was stupid!
Have a great day, stay safe & warm! Spring is coming!

Good Morning All
Penny - Decision about cleaning sounds great. Better for your foot too.
Emily - Sorry about the car trouble. My car is 14 years old but doesn't go far. Only went 762 miles in the stay-at-home year of 2020.
Off to Walgreens and Publix this morning.
Everyone have a Tidy Thursday.

good morning callers, today I will most certainly work on this room, starting with washing the bedding.this sitting around and watching tv is boring.
I think our clinic has the right answer for giving the vaccine. they have contracted us by email.sent out letters to patients without computers. (yes they have missed some) there were no long lines or waiting for hours. now they are going to do like a mass location for people to get the vaccine.
Betty can you call that number and tell them you are a care giver for Dave?not sure if my neighbor got her shot yet.she had to tell MAYO clinic she wants it in her records she is caregiver for her hubby. They did not a have it in the records.good grief this guy has been through a lot, that should have been in his records. he has had stokes and now has memory lost.
I BETTER GET STATED ON MY DAY. PHYL

Morning All!
Penny sound thinking on waiting until everything is done before you clean – it will all just come back again – and you will be finding dust in the strangest of places. When will they start on the Florida room? Soon, I hope for you….. Glad you took off yesterday, the foot better today?
Emily sorry about the car, I understand the frustration of an older car, but you do use yours a lot – visits to your sister and visiting the kids etc. Hoping the trouble is only minor and it won’t break the bank.
Today is a bit of a mish mosh. Starting at 11:30, I have a nail appointment, then a haircut at 2:00. I think that in between, instead of coming home and causing havoc with a certain princess, I will hit the veggie store and the post office – I have a yen to break the bank and buy a piece of Halibut. Wonder why that one is so expensive….. Harder to catch? Have to be bigger? Don’t know…… Why do I have to really like the expensive kind of anything?
Going to try and make some WW friendly egg rolls with the air fryer this weekend. I thought it would be easy to find the wrappers, but no, not so easy. I bought spring roll wrappers and won ton wrappers, so I'm going to try and make it with those. This could be interesting.
Wishing everyone a pleasant day!

Good morning everyone,
Yesterday the holes were sealed and traps were set for the rat in attic. He thinks most likely just one up there. Will be back next Wednesday to check the traps. So glad everything is sealed up. At least no more can get in.
Today I want to do some gardening. Great weather for it.
Penny- I think it’s a wonderful idea to wait on cleaning until the room is finished. When do they start working on it?
Emily- why don’t you get your coronavirus vaccine and not have antibody tests? Over here they are saying even if had coronavirus to get the vaccine. Sorry about your car. Hope it isn’t expensive.
Dayle- enjoy your day. Nice pamper day.

Oh Oh see my young neighbor had the heating and AC guy there a bit ago. Sure would not want trouble with heating right now , today is warm with sun shine but temps to drop into the teen tonight. I know there is a really old heat pump for that house and the ex neighbor hated it, but her DH said wait until it died. Well maybe it did. It has been making lot of noise, is along side of my house on the bedroom side of my house. We have big back yards but we are a bit close on that side.
I took flattened cardboard boxes to the recycle place today. there are 5 huge dumpster and 4 of them were full. Lot of mail ordering going on around here. First nice day with no ice thought there would be more people there but just me. Guess they got out the last couple of days but my ice was not gone then. I did take my income tax to my tax lady and their new office is really nice. Plexi glass up for the desks, one area just for appointment and one desk just for drop offs which is what I do. A big stuffed bear in the middle and a couple cute benches in that waiting area. One big friendly black Lab who welcomes you. He is a lovable dog and we have made friends over the years. Big parking lot.
We have to have appointments for the vaccine here in our area, no long lines or waiting and sent away. My Health care provider is now giving shots and they call or text you.. Working out good and when I got mine, it was my DD who works for the Dr with my health care provider so she was able to call me. I don't go to her Dr as he is a heart specialist but she knew I was having trouble with the websites. the couple of pharmacies they are also giving them do have web sites and you have to sign up and get appointment as well. Works out so much better. and they will get to everyone eventually , we are FINALLY getting the vaccines in Pa. It was a mess for awhile.
My 2nd shot is March 8th. and that is already scheduled. Read where Johnson and Johnson vaccine is one shot and it is ready as well.
Got a new toilet seat and I usually put them on myself but this was looks more complicated so DSIL will do it for me, he can tighten them up better than I can anyway.
Penny , glad that you made the decision to have the cleaning company do all that work for you. Your home owners insurance may pay for that also. Be sure to check it out. After a very smoky fire my friend was able to have her home owners pay for the cleaning and had to have some repairs done as well. so when all of them were done they came in and cleaned. About 4 people and 2 different groups. Sent out her drapes and also had the carpets cleaned. Even took her winter coats etc to the dry cleaners.

This morning I just couldn't stay in town another day!! So thankfully Dave was agreeable and after a short walk outside and doing a load of laundry we took off in the car and made a 2 hour round trip south and east of town. We have driven on most all of the roads but I don't think we EVER had been on a section of two lane highway we took this morning. It was just good to be out there in the open with little to no traffic. We toured through a couple of small towns just to see what was there. The snow is still melting everywhere, everyone had a lot of snow but there are signs that spring is around the corner. If we didn't have the winter we wouldn't appreciate the spring. Neither would the soil of the fields. The snow is so good for the fertility of the soil. Another thing that struck me was how a lot of the farms are now big corporations possibly run by someone that doesn't live on the land.

I did a load of sheets today. Nice clean bed to sleep in tonight. I switched out a couple of pillows. I didn't do much else. I'm waiting for my e-mail telling when my appointment is for the covid shot.
