diva49 Hope there isn't a huge disaster at work that will put a damper on your holiday. Where do you work? I got the grand kids home after spending the night and we almost saw their Mom who was racing home from the mall with a last minute gift for them. She drove fast ahead of us, I drove very slowly, playing Christmas music and the kids didn't realize Mom was getting into the house ahead of us to hide the last minute gift. Ha, I remember being the young mother hiding presents all over the house! ksbruns I hope your piano is okay and it was smart of you to take out the insurance...just in case. Hope you and J feel like you're getting time off and can still get the unpacking done. Just remember you don't have to do it all in a day! I hope everyone gets some rest in and enjoys their holidays. Peace to all, here and around the world.

Festival of lights was beautiful but stood in a line longer than any line at Disney. They said they 2400 people a night . The grands loved it! Where has the morning gone? DH is off and we read the paper and I started setting the table. Not much on the agenda today, yay! Going to Sticky Fingers tonight so DH can get his free rack of ribs. I like the potato skin with bbq pork and the smoked chicken salad! @ ksbruns, true story. When we moved ourselves we played for a piano mover. A young kid came in with a dolley, lifted the piano and slid it under. I about had a heart attack. We had rented a uhaul $20 and paid $40 for the piano mover. All went well and I still have 55 year old Baldwin spinet that needs work! pbnj , thinking of you and sending strength and hugs! Linda, I actually had a *solo* mover once...we were in East TX and he was recommended by the piano tech at the university where J was teaching...but yes, it was a heart attack (however, HE didn't drop it, LOL.)

I'm pretty committed to not filling J's dance card next week so he feels like he had a break.

I'm making an executive decision and cancelling Christmas. Looking at the forecast, we will be under a blizzard warning on Christmas Day and most of Christmas night with 100% chance of snow and winds of 17 to 22 mph on Christmas day and 22 to 30 mph most of Christmas night. Blizzard conditions for sure. I'm sure my yard will fill in. It usually does when there is even less wind and snow.
My neighbor invited me for supper tomorrow night. I told her I would see how the weather is and whether it is drifting in my yard or not.
