Hubby just left to take his shoes for repair and will pick up credit for my phone. We hope to talk to our daughter tonight and son and his family tomorrow. No electricity cut yet that we have seen but it still could happen.
I am contemplating moving from BLUE to PURPLE or CORE of old. I figure I would go with the low of 16 points per day on Purple but wonder if 28 points per week would be correct or not?
CHERRY: The scale is a fickle beast. Mine is NOT moving much...maybe two pounds a month, if that. That is why I am contemplating a change.
BEVERLY: I am glad you enjoyed the day out and about. I am curious...how many daily points and weekly points do you get on the purple program?
LYNN: Laundry is a never ending chore...hope you are done for now and have a good weekend! You are doing the green plan, right? How many daily and weekly points do you get? Just curious. Not sure I would do the green but wonder if the weeklies stay the same or change as people lose weight or???

Good morning. When I was on WW I did Core. I did like Simply Filling a little better because it wasn't limited to one serving of grains per day. There were a few more things added too, like light bread. I didn't like the light bread much so didn't often eat it. But I did well on both, mostly because I learned early on about servings and satisfaction. I didn't use a lot of points because I was perfectly happy most of the time with what was allowed. I don't remember any more how many points were allowed.
Today I think it might become nice enough to walk outside, but it will probably be the last day for awhile. Next week the forecast sounds like there will be cooler temperatures and more wind, and even a chance of some snow. Not sure what else I'll find to do today, perhaps among other things, plant some more seeds. This late afternoon I'll go in to town for church.
Have a nice day, beaches.

Morning beaches,
I have done Simply Filling, I liked it, but being the piggy that I am, I had trouble with portion control. I am now doing purple, I get 20 pts per day & 28 weeklies, It is pretty restrictive, but I am beginning to get the hang of it. There are many foods that didn't have to be counted on SF, that now have to be counted. For instance, on SF, most all fat free dairy products were free, not so on purple. I think the only free dairy is the ff greek yogurt & ff cottage cheese. 8 oz of skim milk is 3 pts. There also is no free oils, 1 tbsp. of olive oil is 4 pts! The lt breads are no longer free, but they are only 1 pt per slice. The only free meats are fish, chicken breast & turkey breast. Beef & pork have to be counted. A lean 3 oz patty of beef is 4 pts. As you can see, the 20 pts add up really fast. Beans & brown rice are still free. Not so for cornmeal. I have not used any of my weeklies so far, maybe when I eat out more.
Still cloudy & cooler here, nothing planned for the day, just church this evening. We have a visiting pastor this weekend, I am supposed to bring him a plate for his dinner tonight. No big deal, he is just one man. I am making fried chicken for him & chicken stir fry for us. He will have mashed potatoes & mixed veggies. I will whip him up some kind of a small desert.
Have a great Saturday friends.

Hello all!
Cathy, I get 27 points but have to count everything except fruit and veggies. I think I get 46 weeklies. I don't really use them all...when I am in control...Haha I agree with Bev...evoo is 4 points when it used to be free for the first serving, I think. You really need oils in your diet, so there should still be one free!
I am waiting for my grocery delivery. DH is home and will help me carry everything in. They already told me they didn't have the blueberries I wanted. Very weird...how can a huge supermarket not have three pints of blueberries? They tell me about substitutions and what they don't have before they come. I have the option not to accept the substitutions. I do have laundry going again....Not much else on the agenda today.
Have a great day, my friends!
