This week I attended a virtual Weight Watchers meeting, entered my weight on the WW app, tracked, weighed and measured, kept up with my online support groups, and meditated. Today I managed to not have the two extra snacks I've been having (I'm proud of this because those extra snacks have been a problem for some time). I am grateful that my husband and myself are still healthy.

Credit for: Exercise 6/7 days. And for tracking all of my food yesterday. I tracked for the first time in months - I want to address some slow weight creep. Also I'm experimenting once again with the WW tracker. I think it might be helpful to me with cutting back on my intake of fats, which I think has been a problem. bbbearsmom, Great job avoiding the extra snacks.

I know me losing 80 pounds improved my aging. I am eating better, it is easier to be mobile, and my aches and pains would be worse with all that extra weight. My aging has affected my weight management journey because I'm more tired now and not as enthusiastic as I was when I started 15 years ago.

I'm sure that my weight loss has made my aging better than if I hadn't lost the weight. I do have some joint pain but I'm sure it would have been worse if I'd been carrying the extra weight. My blood pressure has been very good and I'm sure my lower weight has been helpful for that. My balance is pretty good and I'm sure the lower weight is a factor there too. My weight management is harder now that I'm older. I have to eat a lot less food to maintain than I did when I was younger though my appetite hasn't really been less. This makes if very difficult. On the other hand, along with age has come more time for myself. My children are adults and take care of themselves. This leaves me more time for the things that help my weight management - more time to shop for better foods, more time to cook, and more time to exercise.

My goals are to attend a virtual Weight Watchers meeting, track, weigh and measure, keep the right food in the house, meditate, and keep up with my online support groups. My me-time is my reading, puzzle, meditations, and computer time.

Resisting my sabotaging thoughts, such as "I'm hungry, I see a pretzel, I think I'll eat it," even though I know it isn't in the plan for today. Seeing tempting food is hard for me, being hungry is hard for me. Losing sight of the reasons why it is important for me to not gain weight makes things hard for me.

Hardest for maintaining - Having foods available that trigger overeating and my poor ability to resist those urges. Non-hunger reasons for eating.

I ate the last pretzel today so they are no longer around to taunt me. I will not buy more of them, but my husband is the one that bought them and then bought them again after he saw I was tempted by them. I will not mention them and maybe he'll forget about them. I do best if there are no temptations in the house.
