Didnāt think I would be the first here.
Karen, I hope you had a good Osteo and gym day. How were the fish tacos? I go to ophthalmologist May 17 for glaucoma check. Unless I want to have surgery in 5 months time I donāt go back for the PVD. Glaucoma doc is different from node/PVD doc so I will mention it him when I see him. Yes that is the only patch of irises left. They are kind of petering out. Thai takeout is always a good choice.
Kathy, Florida weather is definitely not for me. We still have a mask mandate indoors here. Our governor is still pretty cautious. The heron in your avatar is pretty.
Becky, good lick with the Dusty Millers. Iggy and I may head to the garden center tomorrow for zinnias. The goldfinches love the zinnias.
Linda, loved the Sinko de Mayo story. Wow, and I was complaining about 80Ā° temps in April.
I have a nice short cut. I walked in and Iggy was shocked at how short it was. It is not quite a pixie. It is off my neck with enough on top to curl if I want. Tomorrow morning we are going to a place downtown for eye glasses. They are not optometrists or ophthalmologists. You bring in a prescription and pick your frames and they make and fit the lenses. Weāll see if they are any cheaper than the optometristās office. I need frames that are on the smaller scale because of how thick my lenses are. The guy on the phone said they donāt just carry the trendy larger scale frames. Cautiously optimistic.

Thanks for the start Karen.
Chele Wow not many people so far today. The first Dusty Miller is growning fast and it looks like the smaller one will come along also. Our tomato plants are getting tall but of course no tomatoes yet.
I hope everyone is having a good day.

Karen, thanks for the start. Hope you had a good Osteo session and less people at the gym. Is it my imagination or did your turtle get bigger? š¢ I got a grocery order for DM today and it was really fast. I don't think the shoppers have as much business. It was raining most of the afternoon, but let up right before the order arrived. Chele, I like Florida weather from mid October through April and then it gets too hot and humid. I looked out today just in time to see the heron take off. I'm glad he found the pond here. Must be nice to have a sane governor. I see that DeSantis signed the voting restrictions bill today and the only media allowed in was Fox News. A couple of lawsuits have already been filed against it. Good luck with the eye glasses. I have to get the smaller lenses too. I'm way overdue for a new pair.
Becky, that'll be nice when you have fresh homegrown tomatoes.
Waving to everyone.

Linda, I totally agree that the audit has a lot more to do with fundraising than finding any fraud. And it makes no sense that they believe fraud would only happen in 2 races and everything else on the ballots should be fine. I almost choked when they posed the theory that they would find bamboo in the paper if the ballots were smuggled in from China. I guess you heard that the arena has told them they will be evicted the middle of the month when they have only processed about 10% of the ballots to this point. One news outlet theorized that they would store the ballots and start after all the scheduled graduations are done. Talk about chain of custody violations! Will be fun to see how the lawsuits impact the process. How can the public be so gullible? How many peole are giving money to this fake cause who really can't afford to? LOL on Sinko de Mayo. Sorry about the continuing triple digit temps.
I agree how hilarious the audit would be, Kathy, if our democracy wasn't at stake. And the situation with Liz Cheney is ridiculous. When did it become so dangerous to have a different opinion? We used to thrive on that. Oh, that's right--2016, when we began to reward the misdeeds of our friends and punish those we don't agree with. And, I saw that your governor signed the voter suppression bill in a Fox News photo opp today. I didn't see the Orlando forecast on our local news this morning. Or is it less than 90Ā° so they didn't bother showing it? I found something new at Publix today that I just had to try. Mt. Olive is now making a Pickle Salsa. I got the medium and it was good with tortilla chips. I am anxious to try it on a veggie burger. Dale said it's a good way to use up leftover pickles--or leftover salsa. I also got a loaf of the Whole Wheat Mountain Bread, which they usually don't have in stock for some reason. It's pretty good. I haven't looked at the ingredients list, but I think it may have molasses in it. Your order seemed to arrive at a good time with the rain moving out when it did. Good eye on the turtle. I enlarged him so he would be easier to see. I was hoping to show a little of his red eyes but not from that angle.
Becky, I'm glad your DMIL's prediction didn't come out accurately this time. It sounds like you had a lovely day. Our weather people here call it an AB day--absolutely beautiful. We are having one of those today and I hope you are as well. $2.50 for a Dusty Miller is a great price. I bet it will do just fine. They grow like weeds here. With your weather getting warm, I expect you will see tomato blossoms just about any day now.
Sounds like you have your summer "do" now, Chele. Is it something that will have to grow on Iggy (pun intended)? Good luck with the new glasses. I need to get an eye appointment because I noticed today that I can see better with my cheapo sunglasses than my Rx ones, so I think my distance vision has changed for the better. Have fun picking out zinnias. I may have to buy some because growing them from seed doesn't seem to be working very well.Good Osteo day. 2 personal bests and probably could have had a 3rd but I let off when I thought I had hit another new high, but I hadn't. So that will have to wait til next week. Your governor has to be the only Republican who isn't flinging open the doors.
Liz and Denise, Friday is coming!
The MG secretary was not interested in staying on for another month, but the guy who got elected Member-At-Large, who did a great job taking minutes last month, agreed to fill the remainder of the term. So we're good there. Now I just need to find someone to fill his position. I already offered it to GF I have known since we went through MG class together 4+ years ago. I hope she will accept, but if not, it will be the easiest position to fill. I would like someone who has at least sat through board meetings and she has. On a related note, Dale went to the co-op this morning to get me 8 straw bales for my garden and they are set up. The fertilizer I will be using is schedule to arrive tomorrow, so I'll start conditioning the bales tomorrow and they will be ready to plant in less than 2 weeks. That will give the plants I have grown from seed a good chance to get viable.
