This thread is for anyone that has been away from healthy eating, had a gain and is recommitting. We accept all forms of healthy eating here, whatever that means to you. We touch base daily for accountability and to encourage one another. This is a judgment free zone.
We all struggle to get the weight off and keep it off. Sometimes this is a challenge, but we never give up and that is the key. Regardless of our situation or where we are in reaching our goal, we count on talking to each other every day and are blessed to have one another as friends.
All are welcome here.

Good morning friends & Happy Saturday!
I'm still not sure what our plans are for today. I went to bed before Mark got home, so we haven't really discussed it. Lol. Not sure why I'm up so stupid early. I would have thought after all that activity yesterday that I'd be sleeping soundly, but that didn't really happen.
Jana - I'm sorry you have to work the weekend, but I know it will be a load of your shoulders to get caught up at work. I'm not surprised that your dad has bruised so badly. Those blood thinners he's on will do that. Any little thing bump turns in to a super bad bruise. And what happened to him certainly wasn't "any little bump".
Janet - Good that you were able to get those appointments scheduled. And awesome that you were able to get he mammo so soon. Those things are best to just get over and done with, right? Lol
Susie - sounds like you had a full & busy day yesterday. Enjoy the coffee club this morning, that sounds like such a fun thing to do.
Jill - Oh no! I'm so sorry you're having sleep issues. I know how miserable that can make you. I'm very lucky that the worst of mine didn't start until after I retired. I can't imagine how I would have made it through some of those work days on just a few hours of sleep. Heavens, I think I would have knocked my immediate supervisors head right off his shoulders. Lol.
RobinMD - I hope you're having a good weekend. I don't remember if you said you're taking a shift or two or not. If you are working, I hope it's quiet.
Well, not much else from here at the moment. I'm sure I'll be popping back by later. Have a great Saturday everyone.

Happy Saturday, Lora, darn I thought the mowing might make you sleep well too! You always have something fun to do, and I look forward to hearing about it. Today is DH's birthday. I just pulled the cookies out of the oven. I made small peanut butter kisses, then a big heart shaped one for his "cake." We'll go to his favorite place today, probably, Texas Roadhouse. It was teacher appreciation week... which means too much food! But, I did enjoy it. Yesterday was dessert day, and I kept my portions small. We were told who are new principal will be next year, and many of my colleagues know her and seem happy about it. I am a chair for our accreditation academic excellence team, ugh. So I have been super stressed about that! It's hard to get evidence from teachers who are sooo busy. I totally get it, I feel the same way. But, it has to be done. I am meeting with the other chairs on Monday, and I hope I get it more together before then! I plan on doing some this evening and tomorrow evening. I will head to the gym soon, before DH wakes up. I am not sure what else we are doing today besides lunch, but we'll go to church this evening. Waving hi to everyone!

Happy Happy Birthday to Jill's DH!
Jill - I thought for sure I'd sleep like a rock last night. But, NOPE! Lol
Well we've decided to make the Costco run, then we might drive out to Mark's parents house to see his mom for a few minutes, it being Mother's Day weekend. Then we'll try to do a hike tomorrow. It's super cloudy and cool right now. I don't think we're supposed to get rain until tomorrow evening, but glad I got the yard done yesterday while the sun was out and while it was just a little warmer.
Enjoy your day! Texas Roadhouse is always a fave of mine. Their prime rib is terrific. Also a big fan of their ribeye.

Hi Everyome,
Jill, Happy Birthday to your husband!
We were told to review our binders at our staff Meeting the other day. She gave us an updated list but said there may be some minor changes like maybe a standard isn't listed that we put in there so take it out. I started to check through it again and found one I took out but havent really gone through the whole binder again yet. I am hoping such small changes like that.
I havent decided yet but I think I will wait to do any additional grocery shopping until after my mammography although if I get moving soon I probably could do it and get home to put my things away but it may be more of a rush but I also don't have as many things since I got a good amount at the other store yesterday.
I am not exactly sure where the medical office is but have a pretty good idea and can google it for directions anyway. Just not sure about parking as I have never been to this place. They closed the location I used to go to which was right across from my former high school so was easy to get to.
Other than doing that today I need to get rid of stuff on my dining room table elsewhere maybe and read my book..Also of course hang out with Cassie..
Susie, hope the coffee club works out nice. Too bad that your gkid got soaked in the rain.
Have a great day!

Hi Everyone...got up, ready and headed to the clubhouse to help set up for the coffee. It was very nice and another new couple came. There is also BOCCE practice today, but I decided to just come home and SURPRISE there was a sm box of choc covered strawberries and a pot of beautiful tulips that DSon had left while we were gone; then he came back later and planted some vincas in a couple of my empty outdoor pots. We have nothing else planned for today, but reading outside if it is nice enough.
Lora - darn - sorry about the lack of sleep again. Yippee for a trip to Costco ...funny the things we really look forward to - lol!
Jill - HB to DH...have fun when you go out to dinner! Hopefully, meeting with the dept chairs will help get a lot of the accredition work completed.
Janet - is this the same binder you have been working on forever? ...Now you have a updated list? Oh man, I know you will be happy to close the door on that! Have fun reading and hanging with Cassie after the mammogram.
Waving to Jana and both Robins!

Susie, hopefully it shouldn't be too bad..the main work is finished..I was hoping they'd come to evaluate this year. With my class being virtual all year I 'd think they would be looking more at the in person classes than virtual but they may not actually review the class ( whose ever they choose until the Fall.) Ugh! Oh well!

Hi again! We're home and we've got everything put away. We did go by the inlaws for a little while after Costco. While at Costco they had some really cute flower arrangements, so I picked out a nice one in a white watering can. It had a great mix of flowers and was really full and cute. Anyway, we gave that to MIL for mother's day. Got an email last night with some great sale items starting today at Costco, so I added a few more things to my list. I'm getting excited, our kayaks are scheduled to deliver Monday, as are the life vests that I ordered yesterday. We still need to get a few more supplies before we get out on the water, but it's all stuff that should be pretty simple to source with a trip to Walmart. Of course that means I actually have to make a trip to Walmart. haha. I really don't like that place much. Susie - that was so sweet of DS. Enjoy your vincas, I absolutely loved the ones I had last summer. Janet - Oh heavens, not the never ending binder again! Hopefully the new work will be minimal for you. Fingers crossed. We're having cajun spiced andouille and shrimp this evening. Or as Mark calls it a Keto Country Boil (even though I'm actually sautéing instead of boiling..haha!) Still good stuff though. Waving to all!

I found the place with no problem using the Google map although I really was planning to go a different way. I think coming the other way I planned may have been harder to turn into the parking lot though but I assumed there must have been a left hand lane to get into it.
Anyway, I am finished. The technician was the same one that has been doing it forever. However, next year it may be someone new as she says she wants to retire. I had her son when he was in preschool so you know that was back in the 80's.
Believe it or not I started teaching in 1983. Technically 1982 but I started in the end of 1982 around November so just a few months of 82. I meant to tell them to send the report to my gyn but I think it is usually written but I know sometimes she hasnt always received it as well. [
Lora, I bet you are so excited to get your kayaks. Maybe I 'll have to squeeze myself in there too. Lol!
I may have to convince my friend to go back to LLBean. Now you have to meet them there at the site tho. It is rain or shine I believe unless I guess if it were thundering or lightning. I 'll have to see if she has any interest in it.
I stopped into pick up a prescription and bought some more masks for my car. They were on sale so bought 2 packs. Now I put them in the back pocket of my car seat so not obvious.
I wanted my usual lip gloss and they usually have them but not today. I stopped in 2 other stores quick but they didn't have either.
I am really hoping the binder will be very minor..I think that I did the hardest part so if there is anything to fix it should hopefully be very minor as I do not plan on taking it home unless I really have to.
With the exception of printing and needing my technical assistant / family worker to help me with the format of the conference forms I have most of it ready for the conferences. I actually get one more prep day because I have extended care the first day of conferences so cant do both so it gives me some of the morning hours between my virtual classes to finish. I just will have most on just 2 days instead of spread out over 3 days.
