Welcome to the Clutter Patrol, formerly CLUTTERBUSTERS thread. We are a daily thread, Monday thru Friday, and we have a combined weekend edition Saturday and Sunday. We welcome new members and are a friendly, helpful and supportive group.
Our purpose is for support and sharing of tips and strategies in dealing with weight and clutter issues in our lives. Many feel that the two are often tied together. So, we will lend a caring ear, and hopefully give and learn tips to help all of us.
We want to remove at least 5 items or spend at least 15 minutes clutter busting today!
Remember, it didn't pile up in one day so it isn't going away in a day either. One organizer says: you don't have to stop everything to get organized, you just have to start somewhere.

Waving to Joyce and Martha, hope you are both having a good day.
Ruth, enjoy the time with ODD and her family. Sorry I got the trips mixed up. Wow, the twins turning 28!
Another busy morning. Bill went into the attic over the garage and brought everything down. Both the trash can and recycling bin are full. Plus I will be making a trip to the thrift shop to drop off some more items. I also have lots of steps in already, 3800 at 12:30. Bill brought down the last 2 boxes of old files, so once again tonight I will be going thru them and getting things ready for recycling or shredding. We are still at the “looks worse before it gets better stage”. We have definitely made progress but still quite a bit to go thru and reorganize.

(((HUGS))) Happy Mother's Day eve! Did my usual Saturday morning stuff. Not much going on right now. Crockpot is going to get worked over this weekend. Cowboy calico beans now and pork ribs tomorrow. DH taking chicken thighs in his lunch next week. So, it's a double batch of beans. Beano is on the table already. The pork ribs will almost be picnic like - mashed taters, corn on the cob. Think I'll slice some sweet peppers & cucumber to go with it. DH made an appt for the heater peeps to do yearly check. Since I'm working from home, schedule pretty much open. I did tell him just not on the 12th. (day I get 2nd vax) Luckily, I guess, they had an appt for Monday. Guess I'll have to hustle to make sure I'm company ready. Lately, there has been an uptick in shootings/deadly accidents in the area. I'm sure it is happening all over. It's wearing on me. Yesterday, coworker friend called out sick due to the increased anxiety. I haven't called out sick yet but can tell, I need to be careful. I need to get kitchen put back together after fixing lunch & the beans. The sun shining at the moment, may head outside for a little breath of fresh air & sunshine. Wishing you all a very Happy Mother's Day! Since my DM has passed, I've been thinking of some women who have been there for me in various ways growing up. Think I'll need to call them up & tell them that they are important to me. Just as you ladies are to me.
Love & Hugs~ m

Good afternoon,
Another good day at work. Not busy, but we had fun.
Ruth - wedding is for coworker from the business office. She was supposed to get married last August and postponed it. I’m so looking forward to going.
Dottie - I’m getting tired just reading about everything you are doing. I slowed down a bit, but things will pick up soon. Every time I think I’m making a lot of progress I realize there is still do much more to do.
Martha - thank you so much for all if the hugs.
Finally going to get to the cemetery tomorrow. Will be glad to get those artificial flowers in the urns.
Enjoy your day

Happy Mother’s Day!
Went to the cemetery this morning and put the flowers in the urns. Looks so nice. Worked on the area in front of the headstone so that it’ll be ready when I device to plant flowers, probably Memorial Day weekend.
Looks like it’s going to rain, skies are getting darker. I might putter around in the basement for a while.
Enjoy your day

Joyce, I’m with you we are definitely making progress but we still have a long way to go. I think the one thing that is helping us is we haven’t done any shopping except for food and a few items Bill needed to repair something. We aren’t bringing any additional things in the house. We are supposed to get rain starting tonight also.
Martha, ((HGS)). I hear on the news about some areas of Connecticut where there are shootings almost daily. That is scary. Hope things calm down in your area. The thing that is happening here is stolen cars and car break ins. Some stupid people leave their keys in their car – and then post that their car was stolen. Another thing is stealing the tires while the car is parked in a driveway. We keep our cars in the garage, and so do most of the people on our street, except for those who have teen age kids living at home, so our area hasn’t been hit by too many break ins.
Ruth, I’m sure you are enjoying your weekend with ODD and family. Are you heading home today or tomorrow?
Just got back from lunch. DS#2 joined us. The restaurant was very busy and there were empty tables but not enough servers. It seems almost every business in the area is looking for help, the wait in the grocery stores is ridiculous, in line almost 10 minutes the other day. The self check outs are just as bad. DS came over to the house after lunch and we will bring a lot of his stuff to his place one day this week, a lot depends on the weather. We don’t want to do it on a rainy day and it has to be a day that he can run home on his lunch break to help us unload the items. To get his stuff out of the basement will be great.
