A few years ago I purged paper in the basement and that included over 30 years of Weight Watchers programs, journals and other things. I did hang onto all printed papers from Core/SF with recipes that were in plastic pages and a binder and also kept a notebook with a graph recording my journey to goal weight in 1998/9.
Recently I have been frustrated by being stuck/pleateau-ed in the 160's. I kept thinking that if I tried a different WW program (old, new, points, core, whatever) it would snap me out of the doldrums. Nothing has been working.
So, this morning I thought, "I wonder if this has happened before?" I kind of remembered something like this might have happened back then so dug out the binder and looked...I had eleven weigh-ins in 1999 in the 60's so ten or eleven weeks (let's say three months almost?) there and quite a few at 161 (not 166.6 like this time). I was younger then and perhaps more active, too, so this time could take longer to break through. This does reinforce that I WILL get through the 60's by sticking with the program...so...stick I will.
How long have I been in the 60's now?
I hit the FIRST 169.8 on 2/24
The 60's became MINE on 3/23
It has been slow but I have not returned to the 170's since 3/23
I am on 166.6 today and have been for a solid week.
The lowest I have seen was 166.2 on 4/23
I guess the reason I am posting is to say that:
* keeping track of daily/weekly/monthly weights is not a bad thing
* having back history/documents to refer to can be helpful
* I was happy to SEE how long it took last time
* I have never felt like giving up this time but the information this morning has revitalized my commitment to the program I am currently following rather than waffling and trying one after another.
It may take LONGER this time than in 1998/9 but I *will* get to goal when my body is ready to do so ~ if I persevere!
Thank you all for being here!
