Good morning friends. I slept well even though I woke up early. Benjamin was ready to get up He slept with us all tucked in under his blanket and snored away. It felt so good to have a Boston close to us once again.
Yesterday we took him for two walks and he got to meet a lot of our neighbors in our retirement community. Today will be more of the same. He walks well on a leash which makes it nice.
Nothing on the agenda today but to stay put and enjoy being around my 'two men' LOL.
Wishing all a Happy and blessed Mother's Day.
I shall CBL

Good Morning, WW Friends ~
Happy Mother's Day!! Ann, I am so happy to hear that your home and heart are once again filled!
I had a fantastic time yesterday!! We left at 9:30 in the morning and didn't get home until about 5:30 in the afternoon. We walked, and shopped, and talked half of the day away. Then we went in to eat their Famous Family Style Chicken Dinner, which we enjoyed immensely. It included soup, then coleslaw and pasta salad and cranberry relish, then the main course which included chicken, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, and butternut squash. It was all delicious!! We ended up with enough left-overs to fill two carry-out containers to bring home for our two husbands. Win-win!! We were served a soft-serve ice cream dish. Our server was so kind, she took some pictures for us at the end of our meal.
Our shopping was a huge success. About 3-4 years ago I had bought a new quilt at the Frankenmuth Woolen Factory when I was there with Red Hats. I have gone back every time we've been there but never found another one that I wanted. I was looking for something red/white/blue to replace my very old Summer quilt. Yesterday we found exactly what I was looking for!! and it was on sale! and the matching shams came with it. We were at the far end of town, so we left it there for safekeeping and drove back at the end of the day to retrieve it. We both found shirts that we loved with Frankenmuth on them, and some odds and ends, and treats for our husbands. Then we needed a break, so we found a coffee shop and took our drinks outside to sit at a table and chairs in the Mall area.
When we got to Frankenmuth, it was sparsely populated, but by the time we finished lunch (about 2) the dining room had filled up (to capacity) and people were waiting. When we got back outside, we found it crowded, so we were glad we were finished shopping on Main Street and ready to head up the hill into the River Place Mall (which was not yet as crowded). Our weather could have been a bit warmer, but it stayed constant and we were dry (unlike the day before).
We've had HB egg and cinnamon swirl toast for breakfast and just taking it easy this morning!
BBL. Make a great day!!

Happy Mother’s Day to all!
Ann, it sounds like Benjamin is adjusting very well to his new life! Great news! I’m so happy for you and Carl.
Sue, you day sounded wonderful from the meal to the shopping and time with a good friend!! It must have felt so great to resume a normal life again for a day! The last 14 months have felt like a fog to us.
My nephew from Colorado called yesterday. He and his family really want to visit us at the Cape this summer and I felt sad to tell him that there won’t be a house ready until mid-late August. He’s a high school science teacher so is back teaching by the end of July there. 😞 Not much we can do about it. I had to tell DD the same thing. Oh well... soon, we can all get together. If he and his family have an October break, that’d be great, too.
im off to get a color and cut and have a festive brunch of a brioche French toast dish with caramelized peaches and mascarpone cheese. Pointy but it’s a special day. I’ll get right back on track after and will enjoy every bite! The eggs Benedict was even higher in calories and points! Who knew?
Have a great day friends.

Back again before I shut down for the day. We are busy little bees and having a grand time of it. Took a nice hood walk earlier and Benjamin got to meet more new 'friends' He surely does put a smile on everyone's face Sue so happy you and your friend had such a wonderful day yesterday. Win win with the leftovers and especially in dodging the crowds. Judy how wonderful that your nephew is coming for a visit at the Cape. Your pointy breakfast sounds delish. I too shall be hitting 'reset' tomorrow Wishing all a very Happy Mother's Day and see y'all in the a.m.

Hi All ~
We have also had a wonderful day! I got some needed chores done around here this morning then when DH got home, we went to Costco together. There were a couple of allergy items that were on sale ending today, so we went and got all of them, plus an extra can of coffee.
DH had a fabulous idea for lunch - he suggested my favorite Mexican restaurant (his favorite customer). I am much more a Mexican food lover than he is. But we went and had (my favorite) the Supreme Nacho and ate every bite of it and enjoyed it all. We had a great time visiting with each other. So all in all, it has been a spectacular day. We stuffed ourselves at lunch, so tonight will be Split Pea With Ham Soup.
Time to curl up and read for a while.
