I have lunch ready to eat except I need to pound some garlic in the mortar with the pestle. Will put that on the fava/broad beans I shelled from the pods. Also have some red beans in tomato sauce, zucchini, and grain so it should be a tasty meal.
I need to work on taxes this afternoon but not till I finish with lunch.
BEVERLY: Does your almost 16 year old grandson have any idea what he wants to be "when he grows up"?
LYNN: I hope that your allergist comes up with the perfect treatment program for your asthma!
CHERRY: Where will you put the lawn chairs? It must be so nice to be with your son again and both be vaccinated!

Good morning. The lawn chairs are made of a plastic material and can be stacked. I'll just set them out in the yard by the door where there is shade in the afternoon. I have a round table out there too. They can be easily moved to wherever I need them, like out in the garden when I'm working out there and need a chair to sit on to rest. I have a couple similar ones but they are old and looking tacky. I've had them out by the greenhouse.
I didn't do a whole lot yesterday other than rearranging my plants in the greenhouse and watering my newly planted trees. I dragged some garden hoses out too but I didn't get them set up because I need a new Y-connector for the faucet so I can hook up two hoses to it. The other thing I'm going to do is trim some grass. When Roger mowed and expanded the yard he had to mow around a little tree that is growing where the edge of the yard used to be and I need to clip the grass around that tree. Also there is a spot where there are two rocks that also has tall grass around them that I'll trim. I think maybe I'll put a pot of flowers out beside those rocks. It won't be too far out that it would be hard to water and my garden hose easily extends out that far. It's easier than trying to remove the rocks and will look better too.
Have a nice day, everyone.

Good morning,
Not a lot going on today, weather is very nice & still cooler than usual. This is probably the last cool spell of the season, soon it will be hot for the rest of the summer. They call this "blackberry winter" & sure enough, the blackberries are in full bloom.
I got a few more things potted yesterday, I still have a couple of things to pot & I will be finished. My new patio rug has not yet been delivered. This is the 2nd one that I have ordered. The first one was on back order until I finally canceled my order. This one, I ordered from Wayfair. It was scheduled to be delivered by next Monday, but I see that it has yet to be shipped. If I had known that it would be this hard to get a new one, I would have just kept the one that I had. It just needed a good cleaning.
My GS drives a race car & he has competed in midget racing since he was 8 yrs old, so he thinks he wants to be a professional race car driver, but he is planning on studying engineering, as a back up career. LOL
The kids are coming for dinner tonight, we are just having steaks on the grill, a baked potato & salad. Very easy to fix.
Hope everyone has a great day!

Late check in...
I had to go out to run some errands and head for a blood test, as the prednisone I take for my asthma makes my white count rise. It was good today, so I am happy.
DH is having dinner with 20 of his Army buddies tonight out in Long Island. He is so happy to see them...He really misses it.
I'm having tomato soup for dinner. I made it the other day.
Have a good evening, my friends!
