Can't say I'm enjoying any spring foods. I haven't really been in the grocery store to see any new produce due to using grocery pickup. I usually think of spring meaning more fruits and veggies.

Not much in spring foods here. They did have nice asparagus for a couple weeks but not anymore. I haven't been in the grocery store only to Aldi's in several months. I eat frozen vegetables all the time and canned unsweetened applesauce. Our local farm market is open and I hope to go this weekend. I love this market because the produce is grown locally.

Looking forward to Oregon strawberries in early June. Dry short season.

Hubby's garden is producing:
* fresh fava beans we eat from the pods * Fresh garbanzo beans from the pods * he brought in one each potato, tomato, zucchini * Loquat are plentiful * grapefruit are winding down * we should have peas soon...perhaps?

cathygeha, You have a grapefruit tree? Wow. When I was growing up in Southern California we had orange, apricot, and avocado trees in our back yard. My aunt had a lemon tree in her backyard.

I'm afraid I don't really notice the changes in produce by season. I can almost always find what I need for my recipes and then my attention to what's available is done.
